"Compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation) and iPad Wi-Fi + 4G. Requires iOS 4.3 or later."

FFFFUUUUUUUUU

I'd be wary of buying it for $7 if you're just wanting to support their pricing, the description seems to suggest that the hardest difficulty is locked behind a $10 IAP.

How is Spy vs. Spy? Also, is it just me or the C64 version had outdoor levels? I clearly remember using a saw on a frozen lake.

Terrible. Keep your fond memories of the C64 game and avoid it.

Square Enix's Elite Beat Style devil killer Demons' Score is out tomorrow.

Woah, first I've heard of this - looks awesome!

A 10$ IAP for a 7$ game? Seriously? Sqr enx pls.

Wtf, 15$ per month? Lol, I've spent less than 100$ ever since I've gotten into iOS. And that was 4 years ago. Man... 15$ a month, that's quite a bit!

To be fair, I am from a relatively poor country. Low wages and high prices mean Ihave to control myself way more than you guys.... I gotta gtfo of here lol.
Just get out. I really don't know what point you're trying to make here, but comi into the iOS gaming thread and starting shit saying things like "it'd be better on another handheld so carry that around instead" is just baiting. Arrogance like that is what keeps most of us out of iOS gaming threads that aren't the OT.

Anyway turns out I'm getting the iPhone 5 in a couple of months. Switching to AT&T, I hope they're better than Sprint. Sprint has been fucking terribad for me.

How likely is it that Hero Academy, Tiny Tower, Pocket Planes, and other data based multiplayer games are getting updated for the 16:9 screen?

Question that might seem stupid:

I just transferred all my purchases to iTunes, when I re-sync on my Macbook it's not going to erase all my saves right?

Just want to make sure.

So, according to Godzi Lab's twitter feed, there's a Happy Street update coming Wednesday!

Argh, just as I was getting around to finishing upgrading all the base buildings, and working on buying all the Flooz buildings(have the Haunted House, Chipmunk house and Arcade Bong and currently short 30 from buying all the cowboy ones at once) they're going to add more? Guess my flooz grinding will never end, lol.

I was pretty happy to see that 3-4 apps I have updated for the new aspect ratio today. Only ones I recall are Minecraft ad Twitter, but it's a start.

Demons' Score? Where did that come from? Is Square going nuts with the iOS games now or what?

... Guardian Cross is kind of addictive. I'm almost tempted to buy coins. What is the deal with the big bird on the L12 zone..

They actually announced a load of mobile stuff last year, including Demons' Score. Seeing that old thread reminded me of that Dragon Quest Monster Wanted game that we'll never see in English. :(

Happy Street update isn't out yet on IOS, but the droid version just got updated. I'm working on a quest to unlock another minigame in the Mountains. Looks like lots of fun new stuff!

I've got about 22 hours into Hunters 2. Man, what a great game!

I also picked up Super Hexagon. A great little game. True, I've only lasted for like 11.28 seconds so far but a really good deal for a buck.

The latest episode of the Touch Arcade show got me interested in trying a TD game so I grabbed Kingdom Rush, too, but haven't tried it yet.

Edit:

I really, really hope that somebody, somewhere is working on a decent metroidvania-type game.

A new Dragon Slayer game has been announced!
It's a social RPG thingy for iOS and Android ):
http://drgslrts.channel.or.jp/
It seems to play kind of like MlaaK did outside of the city-building stuff, but with actual boss battles.

Also since SE has basically no iOS games coming that we know of, I'm expecting lots of iOS/Android announcements on TGS, plus Symphonica information blow-out and confirmation that it's the next SiSiLaLA overdrive game.

Anyone know of a Cydia tweak for Safari to disable the "touching the top of the screen takes you to the top of the page" feature? When I lay in bed at and browse the Internet, I rest the iPad on my chest with a hand supporting it on top. The thumb of that hand scrolls the page, and accidentally triggers this feature far too often.

Happy Street update is live-with big fixes! I immediately got my final achievement to trigger...

Consider me disproportionately excited by this news - this charming but peskily addictive little game has seeped into my soul. I've been farming flooz like a madman in expectation of this day!

Just out of interest, MD, which of the achievements was previously stubborn for you? I must've caught nearly a hundred salmon before that one belatedly triggered...

Here's hoping those of us who have chalked up many hours since hitting level 19 won't be disadvantaged in any way when it comes to leveling up, now that the cap has been lifted. There was some talk it may be slower for us now, given that our characters have been progressing through levels in the meantime, and as such, will do so more slowly now (and hence provide level-up 'points' less often). Something like that.

Of all the days to not bring the iPad to work.

Okay, done with Demons' Score for the night. You can catch the recording of tonight's stream here if you missed it. Quick bullet points:

  • The story mode progresses linearly, with one "traveling" song and one "boss" song. The traveling song is based on which demon you pact with (so you can end up playing the same one over and over if you never change to another one).
  • Easy is the only difficulty available at the start and completing the game seems to be required to be able to select Normal, even for free play mode.
  • The timing is way loose, much more so than you'd expect from INIS. As of this writing, I am one of only 12 people on the Game Center leaderboard, and apparently the top scorer on every song I actually played. Even this early, this never happens.
  • It looks like every demon after the first one requires an IAP of $2.99, or you can't actually use them or play their song. Essentially, it's a song and costume purchase wrapped in one, over and over. (It seems you can still finish story mode without purchasing any, but you'll be stuck playing either Serenity's or Asmodeus's theme over and over in the process.)
  • There are also health items that can be purchased in sets of 1, 3, or 5, again IAP.
  • The game crashed three times in the 40 or so minutes I was streaming. The crashes took place between songs and it doesn't appear any progress was lost, at least.

the last one that didn't trigger (the only one that gave me an issue) was A Rich Street-and it was stuck at 99% even though I had purchased and upgraded every shop. I download the update-and boom-100%.

That doesn't sound very good. :(

Anyone playing the new square game Guardian Cross? Its kind of like Rage of Bahumut card game.
Pretty fun and thankfully free and there is not really been a good reason to use in ap money so far either.
If you feel like joining use this code QB69166to get some final fantay related cards!

I wish the developer hadn't fucked up my account in this, I miss playing it.

Rayman Run is really great!

The controls are spot on, just go with the flow; if you want a fun experience (or maybe for the kids) it's easy and if you want to play it more seriously, go for the 100 lums. I personnally started having minor difficulties with the world 2-7.

Everything is good, the music, as charming as in Rayman Origins, the animation, butter-smooth, the unlocks and the ginger fairy ;)

IMHO the best iOS game, perfect for the platform.

I don't think leveling should be any slower for people that were already at the level cap, as upgraded buildings give more 'exp' than base level buildings(three at level 3), so assuming a level 3 building has 3x the stock of a level 1 building, then the rate of exp gain should be more or less consistent. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

Btw, thanks for kicking me all those red crystals over the last couple weeks or so, should be able to level my hotel to 5 when my current guests leave(wutoz on GC).

Just purchased Street fighter x tekken, on sale for $2.99 at launch, 0.5GB (universal).

Now as a heads up, I was a huge fan of SF4 + Volt or whatever, and felt that the control scheme was extremely well done for what it was.

The current state of iphone fighting games is:

Great:
Sf4/Volt
King of Fighters i

Broken
Mortal Kombat
Marvel v Capcom 2

Will update once it downloads

That is embarassing for a game that costs 6.99.

Yeah, seems like a good price for SFxT, and I picked up a couple other Capcom games that are now on sale.

Edit: Man, it's feast or famine. Lili hit, as did Lunar for $7. Lots of good shit today.

Yep, good call. I think I was led astray by some comments over in the TA thread... bit sloppy, I should know better! The theory over there had something to do with the levels of the villagers... or something.

Btw, thanks for kicking me all those red crystals over the last couple weeks or so, should be able to level my hotel to 5 when my current guests leave(wutoz on GC).

No problem! I think I'm three visits or so away, so may need to call upon your good will for a blue one (...or three). :)

Early cave impressions: iron generation looks to be a s-l-o-w process, and glowy mushrooms aren't exactly abundant, either.

Downloading. Better be better than the piece of shit that was MvC2

I never buy more than 1 game per time but I'm really torn between The Room, Lunar story and Lili (all different games, I know).

Anyone tried some of these?

EDIT: I never played Lunar. I like JRPGs but I hate random encounters...will it do for me? (basically I'm asking for someone to sell me the game)
