How is Spy vs. Spy? Also, is it just me or the C64 version had outdoor levels? I clearly remember using a saw on a frozen lake.
Touch screen controls?![]()
Wasn't sure if it was an auto-run type game, or if we can expect "classic" controls.![]()
Demons' Score is $6.99 and universal. I feel like buying it just to support Square for pricing it well and universal
I asked if this was ok. Got the nod.
We announced our new game today! I am so happy to be done. You make stuff with it. Hopefully it will be out in a few weeks.

Wow, looks amazing... Congrats!

Square Enix's Elite Beat Style devil killer Demons' Score is out tomorrow.

"Compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation) and iPad Wi-Fi + 4G. Requires iOS 4.3 or later."
FFFFUUUUUUUUU
I'd be wary of buying it for $7 if you're just wanting to support their pricing, the description seems to suggest that the hardest difficulty is locked behind a $10 IAP.
Just get out. I really don't know what point you're trying to make here, but comi into the iOS gaming thread and starting shit saying things like "it'd be better on another handheld so carry that around instead" is just baiting. Arrogance like that is what keeps most of us out of iOS gaming threads that aren't the OT.Wtf, 15$ per month? Lol, I've spent less than 100$ ever since I've gotten into iOS. And that was 4 years ago. Man... 15$ a month, that's quite a bit!
To be fair, I am from a relatively poor country. Low wages and high prices mean Ihave to control myself way more than you guys.... I gotta gtfo of here lol.
How likely is it that Hero Academy, Tiny Tower, Pocket Planes, and other data based multiplayer games are getting updated for the 16:9 screen?
So, according to Godzi Lab's twitter feed, there's a Happy Street update coming Wednesday!
I asked if this was ok. Got the nod.

Anyway turns out I'm getting the iPhone 5 in a couple of months. Switching to AT&T, I hope they're better than Sprint. Sprint has been fucking terribad for me.

They actually announced a load of mobile stuff last year, including Demons' Score. Seeing that old thread reminded me of that Dragon Quest Monster Wanted game that we'll never see in English.Demons' Score? Where did that come from? Is Square going nuts with the iOS games now or what?
... Guardian Cross is kind of addictive. I'm almost tempted to buy coins. What is the deal with the big bird on the L12 zone..
Happy Street update is live-with big fixes! I immediately got my final achievement to trigger...
Consider me disproportionately excited by this news - this charming but peskily addictive little game has seeped into my soul. I've been farming flooz like a madman in expectation of this day!
Just out of interest, MD, which of the achievements was previously stubborn for you? I must've caught nearly a hundred salmon before that one belatedly triggered...
Here's hoping those of us who have chalked up many hours since hitting level 19 won't be disadvantaged in any way when it comes to leveling up, now that the cap has been lifted. There was some talk it may be slower for us now, given that our characters have been progressing through levels in the meantime, and as such, will do so more slowly now (and hence provide level-up 'points' less often). Something like that.
Of all the days to not bring the iPad to work.
Okay, done with Demons' Score for the night. You can catch the recording of tonight's stream here if you missed it. Quick bullet points:
- The story mode progresses linearly, with one "traveling" song and one "boss" song. The traveling song is based on which demon you pact with (so you can end up playing the same one over and over if you never change to another one).
- Easy is the only difficulty available at the start and completing the game seems to be required to be able to select Normal, even for free play mode.
- The timing is way loose, much more so than you'd expect from INIS. As of this writing, I am one of only 12 people on the Game Center leaderboard, and apparently the top scorer on every song I actually played. Even this early, this never happens.
- It looks like every demon after the first one requires an IAP of $2.99, or you can't actually use them or play their song. Essentially, it's a song and costume purchase wrapped in one, over and over. (It seems you can still finish story mode without purchasing any, but you'll be stuck playing either Serenity's or Asmodeus's theme over and over in the process.)
- There are also health items that can be purchased in sets of 1, 3, or 5, again IAP.
- The game crashed three times in the 40 or so minutes I was streaming. The crashes took place between songs and it doesn't appear any progress was lost, at least.

I don't think leveling (in Happy Street) should be any slower for people that were already at the level cap, as upgraded buildings give more 'exp' than base level buildings(three at level 3), so assuming a level 3 building has 3x the stock of a level 1 building, then the rate of exp gain should be more or less consistent. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.
Btw, thanks for kicking me all those red crystals over the last couple weeks or so, should be able to level my hotel to 5 when my current guests leave(wutoz on GC).

Just purchased Street fighter x tekken, on sale for $2.99 at launch, 0.5GB (universal).
Now as a heads up, I was a huge fan of SF4 + Volt or whatever, and felt that the control scheme was extremely well done for what it was.
The current state of iphone fighting games is:
Great:
Sf4/Volt
King of Fighters i
Broken
Mortal Kombat
Marvel v Capcom 2
Will update once it downloads
