The top row of bricks on the right wall (as well as the ones below the roof) are put vertically while the others horizontally. Clearly there's a message here.

Meh (2.00 / 1)
I don't know which is actually worse the guy tying the chair to his tree or someone writing a column about it?
Bieber fans, Anti-Bieber fans.. I can never tell whats worse. I hate you both. Same for this.

What does it say on the bottom of the chair? Bud Jirago? Bud Jirago's a jerk.

EDIT: Oh shit, I could pass that house on my way home. I'd offer to take it down, but if a dude wants to hang a chair, he can hang a chair. He's still a jerk though.

That chair doesn't even look comfortable.
What I mean is, when I saw the picture I thought "Well someone has come into possession of this chair which isn't right for them and doesn't serve its purpose well. Look at the damn thing, looks uncomfy as hell. He/she maybe got so enraged and hung the chair as a statement. "We won't take this sitting down! Let this be a lesson to you other chairs!" "
I read too much into things sometimes.

I'd rather them just hold a sign that says "You know...I really don't like Black people." Much more direct and honest.

But now Republicans will say "You're racist for noticing subtle racism!!!!"

If I were his neighbor, I'd have called the secret service for the fuck of it.

It'd result in them paying him a visit, nothing would come of it, but at the very least he'd have to go through the trouble of having to deal with them.

Maybe even some embarassment over having the secret fucking service at your house.

Grow up asshole.

: )

I think we all know what it means.

Here's what the homeowner said, "I don't really give a damn whether it disturbs you or not. You can take [your concerns] and go straight to hell and take Obama with you. I don't give a shit. If you don't like it, don't come down my street."

...thought you were joking until I read the article...

At first when I saw the picture I thought "Man I don't get modern art."...Then I read the link. What a shit head.

Its looks like a threat towards that guy that thought it was a good idea to get us into Afghanistan, and even without talking to the Russians first.

That would actually be fully acceptable and non-racist. KFC sucks.

Now, if they burned a bucket of Popeyes/Bojangles/Church's Chicken fried chicken, that would be fucking racist.

oh hell no. By the time I get to Austin...I will make it a 2 piece special.

How do you get Obama out of this? I see the lynching, but..

However, in light of Clint Eastwood's speech at the Republican National Convention, in which he had a largely one-sided conversation with an empty chair he pretended was Barack Obama, this imagery is now associated with the President.

Okay, now I get it.

What an absolute idiot. I hope the secret service paid him a personal visit.
This is the President of the US we are talking about!!

I say this as someone that isn't happy with the direction of the last 12 years of government in this country.

....was this in Florida? edit: Oh, Texas.

I thought it was some kind of surreal art : just like people hang themselves by jumping off chairs, chairs can hang themselves by jumping off people...
Now that I understand the real meaning, I still prefer my version.

Sounds like a very reasonable fellow.

I called the homeowner to ask about his display, citing my concerns as a fellow Austinite. He replied, and I quote, "I don't really give a damn whether it disturbs you or not. You can take [your concerns] and go straight to hell and take Obama with you. I don't give a shit. If you don't like it, don't come down my street."

But you didn't build that street, sir.
