As someone who has never been before:

1) Any advice/things I should know about what the queues are like for the games?

2) Is there any chance of a fan meet and greet for Kojima for photos, signings etc?

1. Not much except that the more popular games will demand a big wait. If you have an early bird ticket, like mentioned above, use that time to see some of those more popular games.

2. Nope, he's very busy due to his schedule (according to the Eurogamer Twitter, someone else asked something similar)

1) Well that's good to hear. Hope the line for ZombiU isn't going to be too big =/ (that's the game that will make or break my possible WiiU purchase so I really want to see that)

2) damn, was going to take down my MGS and ZOE games and hope to get them signed, sounds like that won't happen :(

I'm travelling down by train, we got a single for £16 each from Edinburgh. Leave at 1:30pm tomorrow, arrive about 5 hours later.

What!? It's costing me £30 for a 40 minute train ride from Kent.

What would be the best way to get from Gatwick to Earl's Court? I'm arriving early tomorrow morning. Probably should have booked earlier for a train but it would be a bit longer on the bus.

I think you'll have to get the train from Gatwick towards London Victoria, and get a travelcard / oyster card once you're in the TFL tube zones for the rest of the weekend..

On train sites look for journeys between Gatwick (GTW) and London Victoria (VIC) then you're heading for Earl's Court station on the District line...

Google maps commuter example

You should be able to get your return into Victoria for around £10-15. Around £27 for an anytime return (within 1 month - I'm assuming you're staying overnight).

I'm not getting a travel card myself, I'm just paying however much the standard fare is (4 pound, 30 according to the site so almost 9 quid for me and my gf) when I get to Victoria station.

According to Twitter, there's been a bomb scare at Earl's Court. Organisers have been evacuated and are gathering outside.

wtf?
I'm sure this is just some idiot messing around, but I hope the organisers aren't having to stand out in the shitty weather we've been having because of it.

Is it? Wish I had remembered this stuff better :/

Ah well, I'll be leaving in about an hour. Bus to Glasgow, dinner and then bus to London. Can't wait :D

I'm cramming in one more game of Dota 2 then I'm leaving at 7pm for my train. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Earls court is a couple of roads away.

Earls court station has a tube entrance/exit directly in front of the exhibition centre gates as well, you just walk through the back of the station instead of going out the front exit.

In on Sunday with a friend. Meant to go Saturday with the bros but had to cancel cuz of a university open day. Regardless, should be a lot of fun!

Consider me informed. In other news: tethering with my phone on the train. Fucking awesome.

In other news I'M FREAKING THE FUCK OUT.

Thursday and Friday.

Time management. Create a timetable of all your transport hook ups, and then a timetable for the event. I'm coming down from Scotland and I'm doing it, never been to London and I don't want to waste much time trying to find out where to go or what time trains/underground are running at.

Cheers, I should be grand then. I'm @greymanic on twitter, don't tweet much but I'll try keep an eye on things if some sort of Gaf meet up happens.

Apologies in advance to anyone propping me up today. I don't sleep when I'm not home at the best of times. Being in a hotel, in London, alone and I'm going to Eurogamer? I've managed 5 hours! :(

Coming from Finland! Waiting at the airport with 2 friends currently. Will be in london around 4 the earliest. A bit bummed out missing Kojima and the whole Thursday. Oh well should be awesome anyways :3

Stop It

Perfectly able to grasp the inherent value of the fishing game.
It's shit. :D CoH2, dishonored and Tomb Raider are good though.

I'm guessing its really busy in there now? How long were the queues? I'm set for the early bird entry at 10 but can get to London early if required.

Getting excited now, hope you guys are enjoying the show today.

Played Halo 4 so far, twice. It's good. Not really that bothered about the games on show this year. I want to see the Wii U, but the queues!

I will require a map of the quickest route from the entrance to the WiiU queue so I can make a mad dash the moment I get there.

CoH2 was great. Will be playing that a few times...
Need to really sit down and give hitman and dishonored a proper go as I sucked playing them this morning

I've only just finished booking in to my hotel, bit of a mad long journey.. anyone sticking around until the 7pm close?

Also, anyone fancy a drink tonight? I'm meeting a friend for a few later

I'm on my way down to that there London town tomorrow morning. Very excited. Wasn't sure if there was much I really wanted to play this year but just had another look at the list and there's a ton of stuff.

Hope everyone had a good day today.

Where's all the freebies, someone must have left early and be home or in the hotel by now.

I got a Hitman toy and red tie and a keyring for winning a round of most wanted but the freebies are v. Thin on the ground this year :(
Full write up of day 1 when I get home. Am on train atm

If there's one thing I need less than tshirts it is ties. Especially, what I"m guessing is, a cheap one. I've got a tidy collection already.

But it's free swag so I must have it!

Day one thoughts: Tired. Tired and in pain.

Saw CoH 2 first. It's CoH alright. It's clearly very unfinished with some pathing issues but it looks great and the snow mechanic makes you think about your troop movements. Got three beta keys. :p

Rest I'll do in alphabetical order:

- Assassins Creed 3, plays like 2 and the combat feels the same. Enjoyable though feeling a bit tired.
- Crysis 3, MP demo. Looks like Crysis 2.
- Dishonoured, think thief meets BioShock. Super cool world and enjoyable powers.
- Devil May Cry, bit simple and people will hate it.
- Far Cry 3, super cool feels like a first persons assassins creed meets well far cry. Interesting mini games too. Hints of Red Dead.
- Grid 2, looks super good and runs slick on the PC. Handles well enjoyable like the first.
- Medal of Honour, looks OK mp wise an odd class system. SP looks bland and terrible.
- Need for Speed, burnout paradise with dodgy handling.
- Prison Architect, Sim City for evil bastards.
- Tomb Raider, It's Uncharted with an XP bar is what I took away from the demo.

Brain is fried so I'll answer questions tomorrow.

This is probably the most boring question anyone could possibly ask at this point, but is there a coat and/or baggage store available on the show floor?

Me and some friends are stopping for the weekend but are going to Earls Court straight off the train. I'd rather not drag my coat and bag around the show floor until 7pm, if possible.

Yeah there is but it costs like £1/2.
