US PSN: Spend $100 during October, get $20 back

$100 $80 is quite a lot of money.

But it's a pretty good deal for the people who want to buy the new october releases on PSN.

Is it really that common for people to buy full games on PSN? Maybe I'm just behind the times, but unless it's an indie game I don't see much of this to be honest. :/
 
^good question about plus, i doubt it though.

damn, might be time to go in on WOTS4, grab NiGHTs, JSR, Okami etc. if i can find a deal on a PSN card, this could really save me a bit. thanks Tizoc!
 
Well I've got around three 10 dollar games I want to get next month... and maybe okami if it even makes it in october on the asian store.

I have no idea and I'm by no way ready for digital where I live with my 5mb connection but if GAF is the test I think a lot of people are considering it now.

On my Vita though, I can do digital happy. Probably won't spend $100 though.
 
Clever way to indirectly boost the Day 1 DD sales. October has some heavy hitters.

2 new AAA games for $86 if you're a plus member. Something to think about...
 
Nice, I've been waiting for a good sale to buy a bunch of DLC for several games and re-up my PS+ subscription. Looking specifically at UMvC3 costumes and SC5 CaS parts, etc.

So, outside of Killzone 1, what else is releasing on PSN in Oct? I'm assuming older titles work as well? What about the special new pre-orders?
 
Is this only if you spend the money with them directly or can you use PSN cards too? I want to buy Way of the Samurai 4 and Unchained Blades badly so this could work out well for me.
 
If my guessed prices are right, I'm at least halfway there:

Tokyo Jungle: $15
New Little King's Story: $30?
Dokuro: $15?

I was thinking the same thing, picking up FIFA and Dishonored preorders... and LBP vita, and Little King's Story... and NFS if it's cross-buy. Yup.

Plenty of full retail games and preorders. Anything should count though, no matter how old the game is.

Should be fine using PSN cards.
 
Hope this impacts Canadian customers and not just those in the US.
Would also love to know whether this deal could be triggered multiple times (i.e. spend $200 and save $40, etc.).
 
Unless they have an insane sale on psn games I can't imagine getting anywhere close.

Spending 53-60$ for a new release isn't enough of a discount for me to give up my resale rights.
 
$100 in one month, especially next month, isn't a lot.

In October I'm picking up Of Orcs and Men, Assassin's Creed III, Resident Evil 6, Need For Speed Most Wanted, Dishonored, NiGHTS HD, and Okami HD. Even leaving out the PSN titles, that's $250 in games. 20 bucks back would be nice. Plus whatever small discounts there are for Day 1 Digital preordered. The only way you don't end up spending $100 next month is if there's only one game you're interested in playing. Which... Nah, I like videogames.
 
I'm not mocking, is there really $100 worth of games to buy? I'd really like a bunch of good 2D platformers and things I can play whimsically, but still have fun with. Every time I download something now I'm un or under-impressed with it. For example, I just bought Sound Shapes... it was OK, but nothing spectacular - after completing all the levels I'm not really motivated to play them again... Maybe it's just me - I've been bored of gaming for a while now.
 
Really wish I found about this a couple days earlier as I would have held off on about $15 worth of purchases lol

And yeah $100 is easy to blow through. There are a ton of day 1 digital games on the PS3 (the whole reason this deal is set at $100) and of course all Vita games are day 1 digital as well.

I might have to consider changing my Ragnarok Odyssey order from physical to digital.

So basically i am getting both games for 43$ each which is kind of good IMO

If you buy two new releases for $53 each you get $20 back. That's quite a discount if you're counting.

To give up my resale rights a game has to be half price or lower.

Getting stuck with a 53$ download if it turns out poorly/I just don't like it?/get through it fast and have no intention of going back? Gross.
 
Yep there's grand total of one game i could pay 50$ on digital only release - well unless sega makes more Valkyria Chronicle titles ;)
