College Football Week 6 - If the Stanford Tree falls...

Not really. We are going to drop another game before Florida, probably Miami or Virginia tech. I think we beat Florida though.
VT is pretty bad though, but I could see a Miami loss. If we go undefeated the rest of the way and Florida miraculously does as well, that last game could be good

Poor ref.

I'm surprised at how wide open some of your guys are. Seems like some blown coverages. Although they didn't have to cover anyone against Stanford.

Yeah, it's been a lot of downfield stuff too which isn't the norm. Seems like receivers are adapting to the length of the play and then beating the UW defense.

Our defense has been reaaaaallllly conservative today for some reason. Now we're ahead so we can pin our ears back but early on it looked like pseudo-prevent.

Feels good to be an NC State student right now. Totally did not expect them to win that game. God I wish I could've been there.

Well we can still finish third in the North behind the two Oregon teams. Mickens, Feeney, and Shaq are all playing hard, so it appears there is a bright future for our young talent. Just too much youth on the field right now due to injuries.

Just got home from being out with the family doing the Fruit Loop (Hood River, OR) and came home to all kinds of fucking crazy shit.

Oregon steamrolling again.. no surprise there.

Oregon State seemed to struggle a little against a bad WSU team... now on to the real shit.

LSU's box score is fucking pathetic. SEC produces some fucking shit football sometime for being so full of athletes and just NFL studs on these teams.. how the fuck you only manage 8 first downs and 200yds of offense... how do you lose a game after only allowing 61yds of passing?!? What a piece of shit game that must have been tot watch.. time to scroll back to the reactions in this thread.

FSU losing isn't a surprise, wasn't sold on them yet anyhow.

GA got steamrolled.. wow.

ND top 5 last week... holy shit wow.

Good. They have been there before and know how to act like it.

This isn't some collegiate powerhouse. This is freaking NC State! They haven't even won a conference championship in over 30 years. I'm willing to bet something was impeding the rush as opposed to students feeling they "know how to act."

But yeah, totally not shocked fsu lost. I knew we would drop two in the Acc, but everyone we are playing is so bad it was hard to decide who.

Frickin FSU.

The ACC is now completely done. Cancel the rest of the season.

Oh, uh, good job Duke, going 5-1. If they continued to play the season (which, as you'll note, I'm suggesting they try to avoid), they'll still probably finish 5-7. Best thing to do is cash out now.

To be fair, they didn't win a conference championship, they just beat FSU, which they've done a few times more recently than 30 years.

They beat undefeated FSU several times in the last decade. I mean I'm so used to this shit that it doesn't even sting as much anymore. FSU fans just wait and wonder which team we'll blow it against

This.

I mean, they beat a #3 team that was in the national championship discussion. I don't see why they shouldn't rush.

Nc state beats us almost as often as Clemson. And Wake. And Maryland. We lose a lot.

Because rushing a field should be reserved for big games with long shot odds, not overrated teams that you beat on a regular basis? I mean, I wouldn't hate on them too much for rushing, but damn if they don't look much cooler for being all chill about it.

I need to stop watching sports. Nothing good EVER happens. Why do I put myself through this? I just want to end myself after watching my teams play.

This is why I got annoyed with a lot of FSU fans talking about leaving the ACC for the Big XII. Yeah, I know it was mostly about money and tier 3 rights, but it seemed like Noles fans felt they were too good for the ACC and they'd be a contender if they'd just go join the SEC or the Big XII. It doesn't add up when FSU steamrolled other ACC teams in the 90's and won two championships, vs now when they still pull in top 5 classes and can't get the job done. How is that the ACC's fault?

I thought this Warchant comment was funny

We've gotten worse every week. We've all seen it. We've watched it for over 10 years now! We always come out of the gate fired up, but by mid-season we begin to MISS our losing record so we do everything we can to lose. Like a bunch of homesick puppies!

lol .... kill me now :(

Predictable Florida State is predictable. What's even worse is that they can't even find new ways to break my heart. Same shit, different year.

I think beating FSU with a -17 spread is pretty admirable.
Beating FSU just means you get the yearly award for showing what frauds they are
OK, this makes more sense. I'm not too familiar with the ACC's history like that...
