WATXM 18 :(

Batman 13 why is jock relegated to back up duty

Avengers: cant wait to see where it goes, good first issue.

Red She hulk was awesome, buy this book people

i really hope Cyclopes becomes the one thing he has fought against, magneto

so hes going darker than he did in civil war? are we talking like that what if where he becomes a stone cold killer? because thats as dark as he can go.

bringing the phoenix to earth is beyond retarded man.

And don't forget that it was blazing a trail of death along the way. I honestly don't know what people wanted Cap to do faced with a Cyclops who was inviting something that was burning a trail of destruction across the universe.

Would people be all "Reed was right!" If he had called on Galactus' aide as the World Eater ravaged his way to Earth?

I'm completely down for darker Spidey. Slott's been planting the seeds for a long time and I want to see it play out.

This. I'm still hype, and I want to see change. As many have said, Spidey's psyche is one of the more realistic ones. I'm down for the "Spidey kills someone" theory, but why? I wanna see.

Also, the claws are stupid, but mostly the toe claws.

On that WATX last page.

Don't click if you don't want to read big spoilers on WATX and UXF!!!

WATX issue 25 cover has both Broo and Genesis alive and kicking on the Savage Land road trip. We have seen that cover for quite some time now, so don't worry about our little brood buddy guys! :-)

Yeah but
He's crazy and on a leash. I think what happened was whatever mutation that was making him charming and smart was blown out of his brain and now he's going to be just another rabid Brood.

no one was bringing it to the planet. The Phoenix was always on its way to earth. Cyke was entrusting Hope as the host and had good reasons to do so. As far as the ensuing hostilities both sides were at fault, but the fallout seems to be painting one person in a negative light "in-universe" and hence you have sharp reaction against Cap. No one likes a character acting as a hypocritical condescending prick.

DCBS shipment came, rushed to read AvX #11 and 12:

At least it's over. I thought these issues felt rushed, had sloppy sequential action, and were full of just overall bland panels.
I feel like the discussion between Cap and Clops at the end was telling about the event as a whole, the end doesn't justify the means, as usual.

I'll tell you guys why we need more mutants

Well...a savage Broo could be funny for a little while (specially after he recovers his senses), just don't make it permanent, otherwise it would be better to really kill him.

So...anyone had any hope for the new Wolverine movie???

Here's Fox version of Viper.

Poor Logan...at least it won't be as bad as X-Men Origins right Hugh??? RIGHT???

scotts been doing that forever though. he brings up jean whenever hes in an argument with wolverine, and we all know their shit wasnt together.

and vice versa.

As far as the hairy midget is concerned, the way he is being written makes it hard to find him likeable.

I saw an image of an Annihilation reading list a while back. But is there one for X-Men out there somewhere? Last thing I read was Beast was running around with Dark Beast or something.

You guys are really funny.

Sooooooooooo Batman was great. Made me freaking scared of the Joker. And JOCK!!!!!! So damn awesome.

UA- Not a huge Marvel guy (Fantastic Four and FF), but i thought I may as well give some of the new stuff a go. Liked it, but was disappointed that it felt tied to AVX which I had no interest in

Phantom Stranger- I feel like the only reason I'm reading this is because something vaguely important might happen in it with the trinity of sin. That being said he has always been a character I have been intrigued with, I just wish Didio wasn't handling him.

Fantastic Four- Glad Hickman's run is wrapping up. Feels like perfect amount of time for him on the title. I think if they tried to stretch it out things would get a little thin. Also I'm dropping both titles after Hickman is off.

Phantom Stranger is so brilliantly stupid it has to be intentional. Like, his superpower is BETRAYING PEOPLE. That's all he does. I have no idea how that makes any sense. "Oh, yeah, you betrayed a dude, so, to teach you a lesson, I'm gonna have you betray even more people". That shit is cray. The book is terrible, but that shit is cray.

same can be said for scott. hes been an insufferable character as well. im really curious why people are riding the scott summers express all of a sudden.

He got the shaft in a situation that wasn't really his fault. Cap overreacted, Scott then overreacted right back. If the two sides had come together from the start this shit wouldn't have gone down the way it did and we would have had a similar result.

well I have been a cyke fan before all this went sown but I would say it is a problem with storytelling which despite the initial promise and assurance from creators, doesn't seem balanced at all.

I'm new to the whole comics thing, but why the hell would they reveal that already?

It seems like we know everything there is to know about a comic months before it's released.

Apparently comic book shop owners must order months in advance, so they need to know how hyped people are for a particular comic months in advance.

On the other hand, if it's not Parker, I probably won't be reading.

Looks like whoever read this just has bad reading skills.

“Spider-Man has learned a lot during his time as a super hero, making him not just amazing anymore, he’s more than that,” said Axel Alonso, Editor In Chief, Marvel Entertainment. “Dan and Ryan have Spider-Man on a path that will challenge him in every way. Just because Spider-Man is Superior, it doesn’t mean things are even close to getting easier!”

Is from the last paragraph. It seems like they are referring to him as the NEW spiderman because he is so different. Or I could be reading this wrong, but I seriously doubt they replace Peter. It seems like it's just a bad use of language all around.

Also, Slott has said that since he knows these things will be scrutinized to hell on the internet, he uses them to mislead the public.

Did they say Peter Parker once during the interview?

What the hell, Bendis actually wrote one good Avengers issue... on his last arc. Not that it doesn't have his signature "NOTHING AT ALL HAPPENS HERE", but his stupid dialogue is finally not that stupid.

Also, I hope Mafro is right.

I hope you're right, dude.

I don't buy it. They pulled the same thing with Ultimate Spider-Man during Ultimatum. It's deliberately ambiguous wording as to keep people in the dark about ASM 700 while at the same time giving them something to start talking about.

I might be with you on this one. All that history...

In the interview they referred to all of his experience in the last paragraph so the inference is yes. An all new spidey would have no experience.

I hope so! Still pumped up for it, I'll give the first few issues a try, even if it isn't Peter.

It's
Ben Reilly

Nah. A new character would have way less meaning. We've been seeing Peter edge towards a line he'd previously never cross over the entirety of Slott's arc. From what we're led to believe everything we've seen so far leads up to 700 in some way. Introducing a character like that relatively out of left field would undo a lot of character work. Don't think they'll go this route.

Quite liked Death of the Family, ridiculous cover aside.

Uncanny Avengers, yeah, coulda used more meat,
but I like the status quo we're getting. And crazy Remender baddies lofl. Not sure about that last page, man, that was wild.

Wolverine and the X-Men...

...

.......

Iron Man, oh my gawrt.

Can someone spoil WatXM for me?

Then why do so many people like Cyclops when he was trusting an entity which has only ever brought him pain and suffering and was at that moment destroying planets on its path to Earth?

Trusting the Phoenix is worse than trusting Galactus, because at least you can TALK to Galactus without having Jean Grey around. Scott put all his money on a thing which had previously blown up a star, helped summon demons to Manhattan, and wreaked all kind of havoc in his life for years.

Worse still is that, rather than trust this force to the one woman who knew what to do with it, he put all his money on a girl who had never before been in contact with it, and about whom he could not with any surety know how she would react.

This thing made innocent Jean into a monster. It made Madelyne into a monster. It made Quentin and the Cuckoos and Emma into monsters at one point or another. Suddenly it's all going to be fine?
