Speaking of good designs, we all agree Liefeld is the best of the best, right? He just released some new art which may surprise some people...

This is some comedy manga shit right here. Grifter is getting his flex on and dazzling enemies with his tight butt.

Don't pray for me friend, my lack of heart allows me to compensate in more extreme ways.

This explains the Gambshit love at least. Wakka! Wakka! Wakka!

So I I'm pretty sure Bryan hitch just confimed that Scott synder is writing a super man book and he was offered to draw it but couldn't
There was a rumor a while back that Snyder would be writing a "Man of Steel" book that would come out around the time of the movie. Would be set in n52U, not movieU.

I'm excited to read Snyder's Superman. I liked the plot he came up with for Flashpoint: Project Superman, but I don't know why they feel the need to create a new title (other than money). Couldn't you just have him take over Action next year or the main Superman book? I know they probably want movie/comic cross promotion "Man of Steel" but everyone knows that's Superman.
Maybe it's because of the success of all the different Batman books (Batman, Detective, Dark Knight, Batman Inc) and they are hopping to do the same thing with Superman? Just seems strange to me, I imagine sales of Action will drop when Morrison leaves so why not support that book with A-list talent?

Are you implying that Andy Diggle is not an A-Lister???

Seriously though, Superman just needs one GOOD book.
Ha! I've not read any Andy Diggle, but Snyder sells books.

Because a "Man of Steel #1" that comes out the same time as the same-titled movie catches more eyes than "Action Comics #xx".
Yeah, that makes sense.

This is probably the only PG retweet Slott could find:

Scot LaFaive ‏@slafaive
@DanSlott Superior Spider-man is the worst book I've never read. I can't believe you would that to Spidey, whatever that is. Shame on you.

EDIT: At least the art will be pretty

Action Comics under Diggle is supposed to tie in more with the other Super books.

"Diggle also disclosed that Action Comics will tie-in more with the other Superman titles than it has in the recent past. "I think you're going to see the Super-books start to have a bit more shared continuity between them," he said. "He's going to figure out what his heritage means to him as the last son of Krypton. Not the last Kryptonian, because he's discovered Supergirl is there, too. But he'll be learning more about what that all means. That all opens up the scope of the kind of stories we can tell."

I would be all over a Scott Snyder written Superman. His time on Batman has been better than the previous 10 years put together. I have faith he could do Superman well.

That would be a damn good thing. I always liked in the 90s/early 2000's how the Superman books all fell into place story wise for the most part. Bring back the S-shield numbering I say!

Found this on a retweet from David Aja's twitter:

Javier Pulido's art in Hawkeye #5. Cap's mail armor looks better here than from his upcoming solo, but I'm amused at Clint looking like a kid being scolded by his parents.

damn, that young avengers variant is awesome.

reread/caught up on WATXM:

issues 1-8 are still the best, really good stuff
issues 9-16 are straight up bad, i remember why i stopped reading
issue 17 is amazing, doop kills it, love the x-statix throw back art
issue 18 is good, but i wish this was issue 10 and not 18. 9-16 left a real bad taste in my mouth but it seems like its over now. for some reason i don't care as much for the kids as i used to at the start of the series. isn't the opposite supposed to happen?

Holy crap, if this was what the book was about it would be the greatest thing ever. As it is, Gillen and McKelvie will still get me to buy. But there better be some omnisexual nightclubbing shenanigans going on still.

They did it a couple of years back for the New Krypton story. While not perfect, I loved that era.

Please tell me I'm not the only one put off by all the boss eyes on this page? It's... not good.

Why does Grifter have boobs?

Tim > all

Neither will I.

Nightwing's probably the best post-sidekick hero of all time, though. The RR series almost puts Tim there, but New 52 lessened it somehow in my eyes...

New 52 costume knocked him down a bit, for me :( I hate the fucking feathers.
