Read Talon #0 just now and it was good, though i'm not sure i'll continue buying it in single issues and trade waiting DC books is near pointless due to their release schedule. Part of the problem lies with a general indifference to Talons/Owls and not thinking much of Snyder's Court of Owls saga to begin with. Talon is basically a good spin-off to something i don't care that much about.

Bunn's Viking book looks pretty interesting.
Even good changes in comics are temporary. Like I said in my last post, Peter Parker not being Spider-man (if that happens) will last a year at most.

I'm kind of in the same place, except I realized that right now Marvel is just not for me. Maybe Marvel NOW! will rekindle my interest, but I'm kinda meh on the company as a whole right now.
But I have to say this, it seems as if the entire company is going through a nasty break up with their significant others. Every hero seems to be going through horrific breakups ATM.

As I understand Marvel Now, what is really happening is all the writers want to have a established run. Everything their announcing now will be the line up for at least the next two years unless sales are way down. If the writers want their definitive run like Remender on Uncanny X-Force I hope they can be allowed to duck away from events that interrupt the flow of good stories. I can understand if Hickman's two Avengers books interweave like Fantastic Four and FF, but I don't want company crossovers for everything.

i sure hope this is the case. uxf was the best thing marvels put out since morrisons new xmen for that very reason. crossovers are good for sales, terrible for stories.
its also the reason watxm got so bad for a minute there.

If that was true (say at least a year of self-contained stories) I may be interested in Marvel again.
I am fickle, but I dropped the company for like, 8 years at one point. So, I can do it again, if necessary...but I do love my various X-mens and Spider dudes.

We know for a fact Peter will be Spider-Man when the new movie comes out in 2014. Wouldn't want to confuse new readers.
With that being said I hate how Marvel thinks things have to be one way or the other. One More Day would have been easier to swallow if marvel used one of its 20 Spider-Man titles to continue the adventures of a married Peter Parker. God forbid you diversify and attempt to cater to multiple fans. Then maybe some real changes start to stick with these characters.
I still feel like any relationship Peter has will never amount to anything, no one will ever really die and the Spider-Man character will never be allowed to evolve. Yes I'm still bitter about OMD lol

I was thinking about it and this conspiracy theory is forming into my brain that Marvel wants to shake down properties whose films don't belong to them. Fantastic Four has white gear and is Future Foundation. X-Men = Avengers. Now Spider-man is not Peter Parker.

Yes. They wouldn't be doing things like introducing new mutants if that were the case.
That said, I think they may be more concerned about having their comics (somewhat) line up with their own movies than with Fox's or Sony's movies, but that's very different from doing anything to "shake [them] down."
Also, I'm sure Fox would have the rights to those derivative characters and costumes.
Disney still has cartoon, tv, and merchandising rights to all of those characters they licensed to Fox/Sony no? Why sabotage their own properties?

I don't think it's a stretch of the imagination to see that's why they destroyed the X-Men and the Avengers win at everything right now. One team belongs to Marvel and made a gazillion dollars. The other doesn't and didn't.
Ultimate is the sandbox created for the very specific reason of having a continuity where anything goes.

Picked up Uncanny Avengers and I agree with all the rage a few pages back, specifically
