Do writers ever get booed onstage at these huge Comic Cons?
That kinda happened last night. They were in the lightening round and this 6 year old kid asked a question that could not be answered with yes or no (they only want yes or no questions in the lightening round). Loeb told him that wasn't a yes or no question and won't be answered. The entire crowd booed the fuck out of him. Then the kid got his question answered after he looked at the group like "what the fuck, guys?" Felt good.
Also someone said that avx made them think wolverine was a real D-bag. The entire room started clapping and roaring, much to the surprise of all the writers. The kid got pumped and said "YEAH SCOTT SUMMERS WAS RIGHT!" and everyone was like "...well hey, wait a minute".
Someone also asked about spectacular spider-man. Basically that was out of their control because Sony was doing it or something like that. Then he mentioned that they have a more "marvel show" with Ultimate Spider-man or something to that nature. He then said that like comics, these shows change too.
They also confirmed that Captain America is a neat freak and man-scapes everywhere he goes.

Oh come on, really? It isn't just "Oh he has a big ass sword so it's FF7!" His whole design is Zack. From the black get-up to the pauldrons to the spikey head to the big-ass sword. He's just about as obvious a reference to Zack as you can get.

I think that honestly depends on who is writing and who is not. Seems rather close minded to say that just because something is in the super hero genre. That doesn't really explain the irony though. Super hero comic fans (at least here, apparently) don't like my little pony. Is it Ironic because they should like my little pony because they are super hero fans? I don't get it....
