for all the hype issue #12 got, i didn't find it that surprising. Was still good though.

*reading up a little on it, i'm now thinking i didn't understand that last page, which is where the surprise stuff was*

Well, someone didn't read issue #12.

Also, you try and see if when crazy fuckers try to kill you and your baby for something that might happen in the future you don't sass the shit out of them when the opportunity arises.
I did actually. I figure of speeching from the perspective of when she was mouthing off to gods.
And trying not to spoil. :)

Finally got around to reading Batman 13 (cool ish, easily best ish but 00-12 were all shit, so that's not hard). Went back and read some Comic GAF comments about it and am listening to a podcast about it and hearing people say how creepy/disturbing/scary it was and I'm going out of my god damned head right now. Are these really emotions that people register when reading comic books? Is something wrong with my mind that
Joker breaking people's necks in a dark police station
doesn't have me wetting myself? Are some people really just so sensitive or are they just hype-yapping about a book they enjoyed? I've been known to hype-yap for shit I found exciting in comics but I literally can't think of anything that can be written or drawn in a comic that would make me use the word 'disturbing' and I've read Infinite Vacation #3...

DOOMSWAG! THE LATVERIAN SWAG!

Reading Infinity Gauntlet, never got into this crap back in high school and I still think the Mehvel cosmic stuff is a bunch of assclowns and ponces; so I'm in it for Cap taking it to Thanos.

Doom punking the shit out of Silver Surftard is so awesome. :3

...would that include when Moebius did Silver Surfer cause that was pretty amazing.

You didn't like 0-12? Yeah there is something wrong you need to seek therapy?

Maybe "shit" was a strong word, but they were all highly overrated. Best thing about the first year of Batman was Capullo art. The Owl shit was stretched way too far and was way too uninteresting to begin with. The Thomas Wayne Jr. nonsense at the end was the final straw. I didn't read any Batman books pre-New 52 though, maybe Batman fans just have low standards.

issues 1-12 were decent enough but if you didn't like issue 13, comics probably aren't for you

Did you read even a single word I typed there? I'm not even talking about the quality of the book...

Is Ramos no good now? Loved him back on PP/Spectacular back when Paul Jenkins wrote it.

Kinda like saying that Snyder's Batman is a bad book, and ever hoping to have your comics opinion matter. :lol

GAF.

God you guys are a bunch of crybabies.

GAF.

And nobody even bothered addressing what I actually posited in that post, so yeah I guess that answered my question, that some comic fans are a bunch of sensitive babies that get scared when Joker kills people or when someone talks mess about their favorite creators on the internet.

GAF.

He's great as long as he's not trying to draw human anatomy, or Spider Man, or anything I'm reading ever.

Comic GAF, Halp. I really enjoyed Uncanny X-force, but they are taking it away from us.

Femtomex can go suck a fuck. I have little interest in continuing with that title in it's new incarnation, so what Marvel book do I move on to?

Uncanny Avengers?

I'm gonna get through this arc of Uncanny Avengers but it doesn't seem like I'll continue. Too much preachy moralism and Avengers love. Poor, Rogue. Stuck with a group of traitors :(

Nah Ramos is still cool. The people that hate him probably always hated him.
Batman's overrated? I dunno I still don't like it like I did before the reboot but I think if anyrthings overrated its X-force.

I wasn't like scared or anything but I thought Joker was being uhh..creepier than usual. Like when he was fucking with Harley.

Hickman/Opena on Avengers gonna be the book to beat. First time in my life I ever been so excited for an Avengers book.

Dunno how anybody can just be lukewarm on Uncanny Avengers after that final page with Red Skull clutching Chuck's brain. Panel/page of the year.

A shock tactic ending doesnt make up for the sudden Havok pandering (YOU ARE REALLY IMPORTANT NOW) and TERRIBLE group of dispensible villain force that shanks Rogue and Scarlet Witch before. Who will be the one that shoots Wolverine full of more nanomachine cancer? Also if that really is Chuck's brain, the entire planets super intelligent think tank didnt consider this type of risk?

Remender gonna have to do a lot of new style work (his Venom stuff at least had a diff flavour to the interchangeable Secret Avengers and Uncanny X-Force) before he really just runs out of track.

You assume this after one issue directly following AvX? K bro.

Lol, like this isn't a glorified maxi-series that will be rebooted/cancelled by next summer. Right now AvX is going to be controlling most of these comics for at least 6 months and I've got a lot of new series to keep or drop. First issues count for a lot. And this first issue had some lame shit. If it wasn't for Professor X's brain and Rogue's involvment, I'd probably not even bother with issue 2.

That page saved it.

As a first issue for Marvel NOW, it was as weaksauce as JL #1 was for the New 52. Even the art was low quality considering his epic work on Astonishing.

One page does not save that.

This. The last page was interesting, but that doesnt change the fact that the other 20 or so were so dull.

Joker's face is ruining that cover so bad.

I thought i was the only one who truly hated Jokers face on this cover.
Everyone else seems to love it....i think Joker doesnt fit in and seems be trying too hard to steal the cover if that makes sense.

God its such a bad cover, i wouldnt mind if they just used the bottom part of the cover as the final....the faces seems too pasted on.

Thank god i read the issue before dropping in here spoilers ahoy......I really pray Orion doesnt ride around on that stupid craft of his in New 52.
Also curious is he still going to be one of DarkSeids sons?

Ramos has still got it. He just hits deadlines so some of his recent stuff has some rough spots, however his style is so wacky I can see why some folks may be put off.

For instance the horrific asymmetry in Mary Jane's face on this cover:

Editor should have sent that back and asked for a redraw. Even accounting for Ramos style, that's awful. He can do better, but the crazy shipping schedule of the Spidey books probably don't leave room for error.

On Blue Beetle. Whatever man - 12 issues is 11 issues more than some books I loved (Urban Myths) get. Cry moar!

Anyhow, how about those dope ass Arthur Adams Batman pages?!

DAMN!

I can't believe people shit on ASM. I guess people hate fun.

We're not having this fucking argument again. We're almost a month away from #698, which is when Slott has said shit will hit the fan. And that is when you'll see the horrible truth about his way overrated run, and then you will join my army of haters and we will TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

If you go into UA expecting anything similar to UXF you're gonna be sorely disappointed. Your best bet is to give Humphries a chance or to look somewhere else because I don't really think there's gonna be a book going in the same direction, which quite frankly I'm okay with because I don't think there's much ground left to cover.

Fuck that noise. Maybe you could cry foul if I gave that information the day it was released (and I didn't, check the record), but a whole month and change after that I think it's fair game.

I'm not even the biggest fan of his run but I have no idea what about it makes you so violently angry toward it. It is a comic book.

So comics gaf is back at each others throats again?

Nah, it's like that first splash page in Snyder's Batman #1 where he kicks every villain's ass like it's Knightfall all over again, except instead of an event that went on for too long it's just a splash page that establishes that yeah, Batman has already been there, and he doesn't take shit from the Riddler and his stupid mohawk. Oh, and Jim Gordon's there, that's cool.

Anyways, my point is : I'm Batman.

I'm not even the biggest fan of his run but I have no idea what about it makes you so violently angry toward it. It is a comic book.

I thought the part where I acted like Doctor Doom made it obvious I'm playing up things for comedic effect. I do not wish to raise an army of haters to march on Dan Slott's doorstep, and I certainly do not wish to meet said army in a secret location I'll disclose at a later date, and I certainly do not have a backup plan to assassinate him involving a getaway helicopter.

Who?

What?

Sheeeeit - I made some bitch salty on twitter today for not taking THE FEELINGS OF THE WORLD into account with my 140 character response to Erik Larsen.

I should take a trip over to Wisconsin and skin him for laughs. ^_^

I thought you were talking about larsen for a second. I don't think you could your hero of worship.

How dare you not care about THE ENTIRE WORLD?

I'm offended.

We'll toughen you up yet!

But seriously, morons that want to engage in lengthy conversations in a medium that is 140 character limited? Piss off. And it's some random stranger? Double piss off! Christ. People getting their god damn overly sensitive mollycoddled asses in a bind over something that is completely irrelevant.

Oh teh noes! Someone I don't know said photorealistic comics and fans of them can go to Hell!

America is out of problems when people can worry about dumb shit like this instead of - oh I don't know, the inevitable water shortage the population of Earth will face. :3

Oh snap we got Batman and Joker in comic-gaf

Come at me Batbro! >:O

I thought you were talking about larsen for a second. I don't think you could your hero of worship.

No, see above. Some random dickweed. If I devoted effort to being pissed off at all the stupid shit I see on twitter, or the internet, on a daily basis I'd have a billion ulcers.
