I didn't watch the first debate, and I'm only watching this one because I can't think of anything better to do right now (and I'm eating dinner), but, wow, I think Romney might be a sociopath. And that has nothing to do with any of the words coming out of his mouth, but with his behavior. He's an obscene human being.

I'm confused. I didn't think they were "allowed" to show reactions from the guy not speaking in a split screen, but CNN is doing it non stop. I also didn't think either candidate were allowed to speak directly to the other. I don't care, I say go at it, but still, so weird how it seems that all rules were tossed out the window.

ENERGY

Obama

- Increased oil and gas production
- Increase in coal production and employment
- Have to look to future - double fuel efficiency in cars.
- Doubled clean energy production
- Contributes to lowering energy imports.
- Open new areas for drilling.
- 600,000 jobs in new natural gas production
- Need to figure out efficient energy. This will help reduce demand and keep gas prices lower.
- Romney wants to let industry write policy.
- Want to keep new energy jobs in US not overseas.
- Demand has gone up, but efficiency is going up.
- We are encouraging natural gas production.
- Romney shut down a coal plant in Mass.
- Investing in Clean coal tech. - Same with gas and oil.
- Effieciency and production will reduce savings.
- Oil companies were leaving public leases unused. Use it or lose it. We are reletting.
- Prices were low in 2008 due to recession.
- Have built enough pipeline. But can't ignore clean energy jobs.

Romney

- Oil production was through private enterprise.
- Fed licenses were cut in half.
- Obama is prosecuting producers
- Want to increase coal, gas, nuclear and renewables (ethanol).
- Obama is not helping coal or gas. He is putting up obstacles with new regulation.
- Make US energy Independent with more drilling and more federal permits.
- Bring pipline from Canada.
- Obama cut licenses. Production on public land is down by 14%.
- Coal is not up.
- Prices at pump show Obama's strategy is not working. Gas and elec. is up.
- If the strategy works, costs will go down.

Nice job.

Well they're also not allowed to yell at the moderator because they should have "final say" on a subject. This is a free for all.

Well technically in the town hall format the moderators job is simply to get the questions to the candidates. Crowley specifically said she would go above and beyond her role
