At this point Marvel Floppies are just how I support my LCS. I buy them, redeem the code, and literally throw them to the curb.

Problem with Hawkeye is that they have no digital code so it's why I end up buying floppies in the first place.

I'm leaning towards trade waiting a few 2.99 books since they don't come with codes and i like trades, though i still plan to buy Daredevil, Hawkeye, FF/Fantastic Four, and the first arc of Deadpool monthly.

Hey do ya'll mind a quick question from a non thread regular? I'm actually getting into comics a bit now as an old fart (never really read them as a kid) as I've picked up drawing / sketching as a new hobby. Lots of what I do is just classical figure drawing, but I'm really starting to enjoy the more stylized aspects that lots of comic book artists use, and I like to see how they structure the art in service of telling a story.

So my question is, is there a really good reference online that I can use to punch in an artist / inker / colorists name and get back everything that they had a hand in making? I'm kinda just using Wikipedia on artists that I like, but that doesn't seem to list them all depending on the depth of the article. Like a Mobygames or IMDB for comics.

Perfect links. Thanks guys, that's just what I needed.

I gotta say that it's kinda fun coming into this whole comics thing late. I feel like I've got tons of material to read, especially since my local library is crazy stocked with both mainstream and indie trade paperbacks. And what is not in the library can pretty much just be put on hold online. I'll probably start picking up some stuff from my favorite artists soon to be able to have around for drawing reference, but it's nice to sample without a money commitment at the start.

AvX Consequences 2 was interesting.
Cyclops martyr thing is great. Loved that "Cyclops was right" tshirt thing. Quentin is already wearing one! Wolvie really has nothing to say to Cyclops, let alone try to judge him. He's such a sniveling little traitor.

Also, now we know Storm and Psylocke have turned themselves in, while the rest of the Extinction team is on the run. I wonder if Uncanny X-Force is going to be working for the Avengers, or if they somehow turn against the Avengers are go off on their own. With Spiral on the team, it seems likely.

Uncanny X-Men was a great last issue. I'll miss this amazing comic.
Loved the scene between Magik and Colossus. She could have ended his suffering anytime she wanted. Lol. She is truly a psycho bitch. And the return of <3 Miss Sinister <3

Hawkeye 3 is amazing as usual. No spoilery stuff. This is the new Immortal Iron Fist. Favourite ongoing right now.

Marvel Point One was half-decent.
- New Nova looks reallt dumb.
- New FF looks incredibly dumb.
Dr Doom killed your daughter and your "revenge" is to draw graffiti on his portraits. So dumb. Why did they kill Stature if they were going to put Scott Lang in a funny book. Should have kept her alive and the jokeyness would have been more believable.
- New GotG looks generic and so does Secret Avengers.
- New Young Avengers looks great.
- Cable and X-Force looks decent, as well.

you mean the girl that can teleport anything anywhere, one of the best magicians in marvel universe, undisputed ruler of an entire dimension? yeah, seems like a good choice for a teammate.

theres also the large amount of fucking crazy that she rolls with too.

Cassie Lang is in the future with Kang/Iron Lad, tho; so her comic book ressurection is half-written already. It wouldn't be surprising to see it happen somewhere on this run.

Why the hell does iOS comixology ask me if I want to buy "Harlequin comics: public wife, private mistress" when I try to buy Walking Dead 103? That's an unexpected turn for the series.

oh boy oh boy oh boy, from Marvel's January solicits:

ALPHA #0.1
DAN SLOTT (w)
HUMBERTO RAMOS (A/C)
• A special encore presentation of the instant-classic AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #692!
• Get ready for an all-new tale about a different kind of power and responsibility...
• WHO IS ALPHA?!
32 PGS./Rated T ...$2.99

damn it feels good to be a hater.

Also Ramos off a book I read and onto one I won't is always good news for me personally.

Uncanny X-Force #31,32: That omnibus is going to take too long to release. Solid book, i might be losing enthusiasm, but it's still a great read.

Justice League #0: I'd read a shazam book like this, like others have said, it has a lot more life in it than Johns' League of Slumber book.

instant classic i lol'd

AvX Consequences was great this week. Man can't wait to see how this is all going to lead into All New X-Men.

At least it confirms he is not Superior.

It's a conspicuous reprint of an issue they call a "classic" set to appear at around the launch of Superior Spider-Man, and if it had been a series of its own it would've been advertised a bit more. Not saying it adds up, but I mean, come on guys, it fucking adds up.

Wow, damn, you are right. I did not read the solicitation right (or at all). I just assumed it was a new on-going. :(
