I was wondering if i should just edit that out altogether, but it comes from reading secret avengers 21.1, a story with Cap trying to convince Hawkeye to lead the Secret Avengers and in one panel the artist drew them almost EXACTLY a like. So it's more of a random moment that stuck.

I remember that. I think Hawkeye is cool though. He is one of my favorites on the Avengers. I remember doing a little write up on tumblr about the relationship between him and Cap, actually. Forgot to include that scene into it but...maybe that is best.

Isn't the relationship similar to how Steve and Bucky were? Cap has trained Clint and has helped shape him into being a leader. Also, don't they occasional slip into big/little brother moments?

Yo, I think "fun" is the most terrible meaningless buzzword in comics discussion, but if you hate on Hawkeye what the fuck is wrong with you? It's capital-C Comics, which is what Fraction does best, and he's got Aja and Hollingsworth backing him up doing their wonderful wonderful thing. It's gritty without being grim. It's got a wonderful sense of place, character and action. It's got Pizza Dog, second only to Bat-Cow for greatest character find of 2012 (third place is Pelican Army from Dial H). It's The Best New Thing of 2012, and fuck you if you don't think so.

In "Actual shit that somewhat matters" news, DC now owns at least 50% of Superman.
So I just bought Hawkeye #1 and all of Batman Beyond 011, so I'm good to go for awhile. No lunch for awhile, but that's cool.
Anyway, I really liked the artwork in Hawkeye, and I enjoyed what the first page said a lot: "Clint Barton is an Avenger. This is what he does when he's not with them. That's ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW." The idea of a super-hero's normal life is what I like most about Marvel and Super hero comics in general.
