I hope he'll stay. These teaser pictures are a bit too obvious to be exactly what they appear to be.

Then again, I'm confident this will turn out to be interesting. I caught up on 50 issues last month and I like how the book can be morally grey at times or at least not give you the clear cut resolutions you'd expect. It often goes for shock value but beyond that, it makes sense in the world of Invincible. The resolution of the Viltrumite war or the thing with the dino dude are examples of this. It's not what you'd expect/want but it works and moves the book forward.
Much more so than in the Walking Dead IMO, where things tend to stall.

Then again, I'm saying this as someone who's read 98% of the series back to back.

*brofist* my man

The story continues but it never feels like past decisions or events are forgotten. Great continuity and development, the opposite of most superhero crap.

So yeah... I think A-Babies v. X-Babies is my only pick-up for this week.

I'm strangely excited to read it.

Gives me that Rugrats feel really, so looking forward to a light-hearted book. Wish it wasn't just a one-shot though.

You wasted your entire day thinking about a bad idea.

here's a better idea: Name your ten favorite movies(at this moment in time), ComicGAF

Die Hard
Boogie Nights
Sunset Blvd.

Godfather Part I/II
Apocalypse Now
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

Reset your continuity.

Seriously, I was thinking about this all day.

Reset it.

"Shit, we're getting beat up by the inventor of Scrabble!"

"Now what are you doing?
"I'm drawing them a picture."
"What is that?"
"It's a bomb."
"It doesn't look like a bomb, it looks like an apple with lines comin' out of it. They're gonna say "Don't open the briefcase, it's full of fresh fruit!"

random top of the head list

Army of Darkness
Jurassic Park
Labyrinth
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Alice in Wonderland
Coraline
Predator - yeah, for reals.
Royal Tennenbaums - can relate to depressed people who play tennis
Nightmare Before Christmas
Emperor's New Groove

i'm hoping some newer movies make that list sometime, i haven't seen anything i really loved lately. Cabin in the Woods was probably the best.

Oh hey, comics!

So... so cute. :O

The pictures make me wonder if Marvel is actually going to make someone sit down poor Jean and explain what happened to her and how Scott's basically not learned anything since then judging by recent events.

But more likely it's like Marvel leaving out Spidey's wedding photo as a way of grinding salt into the wound.

Question: What is Batman Inc? I was reading Batman Beyond and Dick Grayson claimed to have been employed by it.

Well the new issue of Heavy Metal Arrived.

I admit I'm a bit bummed out that the issue lacks the Alex Horley Frankenstein at the center of the hollow Earth fighting dinosaurs I anticipated. It's like a horrible art rickroll. :(

Spell checking and context checking for some of the stories is also kind of jacked up. Missing or repeated words leads to some of the comics reading like the janky HK subs I used to watch.

Outside of that it's jam packed with some amazing stories and art, and well worth the price of a subcription; and hell even the cover price if you were to pick it up on the newstand.

But I want my Horley art damn it! I may have to go read Lobo Unbound again. :(

At the end of batman and robin to protect his identity Wayne corp now funds batman through out the world.

As shitty as Thanos is, I'm really enjoying Infinity Gauntlet for what it's worth. This is how you write characters with unique personalities and voices that so many modern comic writers seem incapable of doing.

The first six issues of Dan the Unharmable were awesome too.

As a new comic reader, I'm kind of with you.

Just jump in waist deep like most comic readers have. I've read some really terrible shit(like bloodlines...fuck you dc) but calling for a reboot is not the answer. Especially seeing how the competition has handled.
