There is so much right with your post, that I couldn't help but agree. It is quite unnerving not knowing what happened to the lad. I want to send a get-well card, I need an address!
Okay GAF family. I think we need to find our brother and visit him or send flowers or something. Scorcho is one of our own.
I will ALWAYS remember how GAF was there for me when I lost my daughter. We are more than just a bunch of folks on computers.
I need a mod to help us organize this. I will go alone if I can, and but we should be there however we can.

You can always give them a call to inquire about his status. I love this idea, but unfortunately this is the only way I can help due to me living so far away![]()
He did mention Sloan and a quick Google search brings up Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It's in NY so that might be where he is.
This is their inpatient hospital(main campus) number: 212-639-2000

I doubt they'll give out patient information to a random person that calls in.
I think we should kinda restrain ourselves and give him some privacy.
RE- inquiring about his status at Sloan, as Joe mentioned, it's unlikely that they'd just give out the status of a patient to a stranger or even admit that he's there. My sister was recently admitted to Presbyterian due to a manic episode and it pissed me off how much red tape was involved just to get in contact with her. I do understand why they have those protocols in place though, but I'm not sure whether Sloan will confirm nor deny his presence given my experience. It's worth a shot though I guess
Exactly my thoughts.I think we should kinda restrain ourselves and give him some privacy.
It would be illegal for them to give out patient information to strangers.
If this is it for Scorcho, I hope he can pass away in peace among his family. He suffered enough.
Exactly my thoughts.
I'll just say this: You guys should probably leave him alone.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd love to join you guys with sending flowers. Not sure about showing up though, but if he gives anyone a mailing address, I'll send some money for something nice.
We need to not harass him on his deathbed, guys.
Flowers, though, that would be a nice gesture and I would participate.
Deathbed? Really dude?
Deathbed? Really dude?
Dont know when I'm leaving the home. I know pretty well that when I get into the ambulance or cab (haven't decided yet) that it'll be the last time I see the place. From there I have no idea how long it'll take at Sloan. It's weird, though. For as much as I cried a torrent last week over this possibility, now that it's occurring I feel completely detached, and I'm not sure why.
Thanks for all the memories, GAF.
I have been sending PMs back and forth to him on a daily basis for a couple of weeks now. He usually replies late afternoon (my time), which is about 3 or 4 hours from now.
The one time I forget to send him a PM in the morning was yesterday because work was so busy. Last time we chatted (and Scorcho, I really hope you don't mind me talking about our private conversations if you read this), we briefly chatted about his medication, how he has been sleeping and me quitting smoking for good
I wouldn't hit full-on panic mode just yet, wait it out until tomorrow - remember it's a struggle just to get anywhere near a computer for him at the moment, and as charming as we all are, he has a metric shit-ton of non GAF related stuff to deal with, and we're unlikely to be his first, second or even fifty-sixth thought when he wakes up each day.
