Hello everyone my name is Luis i am 19 and i am from Texas. I am at my second year at the university. I don't post much but you will allways find me in Xbox live. I enjoy gaming and have been drumming for 8 years

My name remains hidden. o_o

Hi gaf, not really comfortable with posting my real name, but it's close enough to my username so I hope it doesn't matter. I'm 27, currently living in Toronto with my girlfriend. I'm an animator and I've been working on the same disney show for three years that it's starting to drive me crazy, but aside from that life has been pretty good to me since graduation. I came to gaf six years ago for gaming, but I've slowly gravitated to OT to the point where I rarely visit the gaming side anymore. The best parts of gaf for me are Tech-gaf, food-gaf and of course the ever awesome Toronto-gaf.

Hey GAF, most of you already know but whatever.
My name is Ron (shocking, I know).
I'm 36.
Live in Sacramento, California.
Even though I majored in Classical Guitar Performance I work as a Senior Solution Architect for consulting firm.
Also, I got my tag in the OT.

Hello, my names Shaun I'm 33 and live in New Jersey (outside Philly)

I just got a job after a year of being laid off working for the local schools at night so I can earn my boilers license. Never went to college, or high school much, so Ive alway been jumping around from trade to trade with lots of manual labor thrown in.

Been with the same girl for 13 years and have a 11 year old son. 2 dogs, an Australian Shepard and Border Collie.

My life pretty much revolves around 4 things besides work..
Family, My son, my two other kids (the dogs) and soccer

My son plays academy soccer so I'm usually driving miles away for tournaments or sitting through hour after hour of practices. And on top of that I'm a die hard MLS fan of my local team and spend my Sat. during the summer singing, jumping and getting drunk. Have only missed 1 game in 3 seasons.

Used to game alot, which brought me too GAF, now pretty much only play good WRPG's, FPS or FIFA.

Also got a rep around GAF for my screwy stories of my troubled youth :/

Hey GAF, my name is Jonathan and I live in Puerto Rico. I'm 23 years old and I love me some japanese culture, although I'm fascinated by most cultures in the world.

hi jody, do you have any finished stories? i've heard writing children's books can be far more challenging than anyone would imagine.

i'm sean, i'm a 28 year-old graphic designer working in the Marketing division of an online education provider. i'm currently enrolled back in college (i have a BA), taking some classes on PHP and Javascript and i'm slowly teaching myself Japanese. i enjoy electronic music (pretty much all it's myriad sub-genres), horror films, and i'm looking forward to moving in with my girlfriend of 5-years in about 3 weeks.

Hi! I do have a couple of things written (but nothing published), more board book type things. Everything that I've read says that getting into board books especially is tough, because it's so expensive to produce them. I'm working on a few picture books though, and kicking around ideas for a chapter book. For me the hardest part is illustration, or trying to find an illustrator that has the same thoughts that I do on how things should look and be. Luckily I have two kids to practice my stories and stuff on!

Good luck on the move in! I moved in with my now wife the day we met in person (long story, but it all worked out!) and I know it can be a challenge, but still, so rewarding.

oh, forgot to mention, I'm working toward my degree in elementary education.

I live 75 minutes north of you.

Anyways my name is Brandon
I'm 22.
I live in Chico CA.
A student at CSU Chico majoring in CIS.

My name is Robert. I'm 20 years old and studying English and Creative writing at university.

I hope to go into teaching, or become a scriptwriter (both, if I'm lucky).

Fun fact: I grew up in the same town as Danny Boyle.

Nice man, that's what I want to study, how're you finding it?

I normally don't like to give ANY personal information online, as I like to keep my GAF and personal life entirely separate. However, I guess there's no harm in saying that my name is Ryan.

I'm on to you, Ryan.

Hey guys, my name is Chris. I'm 33 and just kind of have a normal, crappy job which I am nonetheless extremely grateful for.

I spend most of my time in the weight loss thread. They, and GAF in general, have been so helpful, informative, and supportive in my last few crazy years with my separation and all the resultant turmoil. As I've said before, when I had nobody else on Earth to talk to, GAF was always there. Perhaps it sounds corny, but I really appreciate it.

Honestly I came here for the Games side, but that's become less and less of a priority to me as I keep trying to live a more active lifestyle. Off-Topic is where I spend probably 90% of my Internet time. Heck, the Internet for me IS GAF and Facebook basically.

I've only had posting rights for about a year now but have lurked much longer. I really love it here and am glad to kinda sorta know you all :)

I'm a 21 year old college student studying chemical engineering. In my last year of school and I've started looking for work. I'd like to get into QA or something and work for a few years and mayve go back to school. Currently live on Missouri and would ideally be able to move out upon graduating. I live in a house with 5 other guys in walking distance to the bars so I've certainly been enjoying my first few months of being 21.

I'm Carlos, 20. I'm a Criminology major at San Jose State University and play guitar, piano, and drums. Love me some Earthbound (as you can see) and am hoping to get into the California Highway Patrol when I'm done with school.

Edit: I'll post a pic after I shave :P

In light of Scorcho's passing, I wanted to introduce myself formally to the GAF community . I have been a long time lurker/member and after Scorcho's passing I questions how many of us know each other on this forum. Of course their are more popular members on here, but I am sure I am not the only one that does not post often but finds GAF to be a wonderful place for intellectual stimulation, new updates, philosophical debates etc.

So I just wanted to introduce my self and would like posters to do the same, provide a picture if you'd like and a little bit on info such as, where you are from, age, sex, what you are doing currently or a little fun fact about yourself and what you threads you tend to frequent on GAF.

I tried to do a search to see if such a thread exists and couldn't find one, so lock if old etc..

My name is Dominic and I am 27 years old going on 28 this November (ugh). Im the youngest of 3 siblings. Im a Sony fanboy so I go on alot of Sony related threads, I also like PoliGaf and the NBA OT. I am Bostonian that lives in New York and I'm a picky eater.

Oh, and I am applying for Phd programs in Clinical Psych and Im terrified I might not get in.

That is all!

*also I am incompetent when it comes to posting pics online...

Great idea, thanks for getting it started.

My name is Steve, I'm 36, happily married with three kids (6, 4 and 1, respectively). My wife and I have been together for 17 years(!). We live in British Columbia, Canada, but it appears we are soon relocating to Alberta for work reasons. I am a district manager for a big box retailer.

I'm a huge fan of movies, women, games and hockey (go Flames)... though not always in that order. :p

I don't think anyone on GAF would recognize me when I chime in on a subject, but I still feel like a part of the community nonetheless. It's very nice to meet you!

Hey gaf, my name's Ryan. I'm 20 years old and live in western Pennsylvania. I've been a huge gamer ever since I was a kid to the point where I pretty much used it as a crutch when I used to be depressed. I've changed a lot in the last couple of years and now it's just a hobby for fun instead, but I still am primarily on gaming side here. I lurk OT a lot but rarely post.

I was going to school for Graphic Design, but I'm changing my majors since it wasn't really as up my alley as I thought. Not sure what I'm honestly doing right now.

Typical English student, I'm not too sure! Teaching is my "safe" career choice, but I'd love to go into journalism or technical writing.

My question for you, is living in NY anything as glorious as you see on TV? (I'm UK based and only have FRIENDS/How I Met Your Mother for reference)

It can be, it depends where in NY you reside or hang out. It is a great place for singles and extroverts and even better for the creative types such as yourself. But the pace of the city can drive you mad and it is pretty hard to make friends unless you already know people in NY. What part of UK are you in?

I'm Carlos, 20. I'm a Criminology major and play guitar, piano, and drums. Love me some Earthbound (as you can see) and am hoping to get into the California Highway Patrol when I'm done with school.

How is Criminology? I've always been interested in it, but haven't the slightest clue what an education in that would be like.

Hi my name is Fabian, I'm 17 years old and I'm from a little town near Rotterdam, Holland. I'm in the last year of high school and I'm not sure what I want to do next. I'm a pretty lazy guy and waste most of my time by watching tv shows and films, listening to music and reading comics. I used to be huge into console gaming from the age of 8 with the original Xbox and after that the 360 but this year I slowly made the switch to pc gaming. Currently I'm buying games off steam that I can't even play yet until I upgrade my pc next month. You'll usually find me in the Futbol thread or where all the other cool kids hang around these days.

My parents divorced only a few months back so my private life is a bit of a mess. Currently we're waiting for the renovations for our new place to completed so that my mum will have her own place away from my dad. I also have a dog named El Machosaurus Rey, but everyone calls him Macho.
CUTE PUPPY PIC

I don't like my picture taken and I hang out with people who have mosaics for faces.

Nice to meet you

My name is Jonathan. I live in Sacramento, CA. I'm getting married to the love of my life a week from Saturday. I'm a big 49ers fan and yes, I like Harry Potter.

This sounds cool.

My name is Brian, I'm 29, married, and the father of a cute almost-two-year-old boy. I was in the military from 18-24, then went to college, but dropped out when I ran out of my GI Bill money and needed to get a job to support my family. (Also: I hated my school and my major.) Now I work for the State of California, specifically in Sacramento.

I love video games, but as a working father of a young child, I don't have a lot of time to play them. I tend to stay up late so I can get a couple of hours of gaming in on most nights.

My wife and I are both hermits, and we've grown apart from almost all of our friends (not that we had many to begin with). We're so busy all the time that it hardly seems to matter.

Hey Dom!

Life stats GO:

Goal is to sell a feature script and become a full-time screenwriter.
I love to run and have for a long time.
Been on GAF since 2004-2005?

The thing that's worrying me at the moment is that (apparently) you need a 2.1 to get onto a PCGE, though barring some huge disaster I should be okay as I got through my first (statistic, non counting) year with a high 2.2

Also, are PCGE's free? My tutor at Uni seemed to think they were.

You can get on with a 2.2. They have minimum GCSE requirements though.

They aren't free. They cost the same as one year at Undergraduate level. Do one that has Masters built in. You'll save a bucket load.

You definitely going for Primary?

Will here. In my mid to late twenties, 29. Enjoying the California life style. Never a father, always an uncle. I do visual effects part time and gaf full time.

I write and do art. When I grow up, I want to get a small house in france, a kitten named brigadier admiral Westminster. Perhaps my current gf will stick around, she enjoys the idea.

Gaf helped me with a bad breakup and a substance issue. Not directly, there wasn't a thread. But just having a place to hang out digitally with "friends" was and always will be awesome. Just helped when I didn't want to be bothered by people. Also a place That sounds really forever alone... hmm.....

Fuck this thread..

see your name around often on the threads and tend to like your opinion on things, its a pleasure to meet you Will!

I'm Tyler. Shocking, I know!

29, support banking software and processes, from Oklahoma.

You will find me in NBA, Automotive Discussion, F1 and motorsports threads mostly. I don't play games any longer but I enjoy watching let's plays and video reviews.

My first memory of NeoGAF was being linked to the megaton thread from IGN forums. Member since 2007.

Hello everybody, I'm Rene, almost 28 years. I live in Nicaragua and I'm also quadraplegic. I hope I'll write about it in the future so you are aware of how life is like been disabled, just because it helps to know our life is easier than others. (Cancer is such a horrible disease)

Hello Gaf, I'm David Bryan (Bryanee to pretty much anyone online or old school friends). I turned 29 last month and was born and raised in Wolverhampton, England.

I'm currently looking for work which is tough. I've suffered from depression for a long time now which also has an effect on my sleeping but I keep on trucking.

I'm obviously a big gamer and pretty much play anything worth playing unless its a genre I dont like. I'm into comics and movies. Working out and drawing are also part of my weekly to do list.

I have three sisters and one brother, I'm the oldest. I have one niece who is just awesome, I spend alot of my time with her. Just found out my sister is pregnant again so come next July if all goes well I should have another niece or a nephew.

where you born in TO? Or did you recently move there? How is it? I have been interested in moving to TO when the US goes to shit lol.

I'm Zsolti from Hungary. I'm 27, I love playing drums and guitar, and I really like Nintendo games, especially Zelda.

I am a Phd student (American Studies), and I teach English. My dream for the future is to become an astronaut. Haha, no... actually, I'd love to move to the US someday, that's pretty much my wildest (but still realistic) dream.

I rarely ever post because I tend to rewrite my posts until I get tired and just go "Fuck it, no one cares anyway", haha.

Good luck to you with your Phd application, Dominic!

Yeah read that thread, heart wrenching stuff. I hope never having to say farewell to anyone but I know that day is inevitable for me and everyone I know...so live life to the fullest!

My name is Ruben, and as part of the Real-GAF community I feel those that are part of it know each other at least on the surface (thank you Facebook!). I am 28 and going back to school as a nursing major and hope to land a job in about 3 years or so.

Hi my name is Delvin I'm 26 years old and I love to write! I normally stick to nintendo threads, toku and gay threads then I go to Tinygaf community. I have a ton of lifelong friends there. I'm gay and single and I'm pretty well know for liking twinky guys. I'm pretty motherly I guess..

I still play 3-5 hours of Games a night. I have a Halo Tattoo on my right arm. Master Chief saved me from some of the dark times of my life.

Cliff notes please? If you dont mind, Im curious how that happened.

Nice man, that's what I want to study, how're you finding it?

It's great. For the first time in my academic life, I have complete control over the work I produce. Also, nothing is better than writing a script/story that you've worked so hard on, and receiving praise from your peers.

Please to meet you Dom, I'm Tom

I'm 18, was born in Weymouth, Dorset in the South West of England, I now live In Dawlish,Devon...Also in the southwest of England, i hope one day i can move out of the country...one day...

I'm an enthusiastic dude who will always have time to talk to anyone about anything, I'm unemployed but i hopefully will have a job soon.... I hope to study music at University in a few years but I'm working on self-improvement at the moment.

GAF is honestly like a family to me, and i know im probably one of the more annoying posters but i always learn new things here (some of which life-lessons) and although ive only been a member for a year or so..i never want to leave it.

For some reason (and I'm stumped by this) I feel like GAF is my home, and it is tragic as fuck in some ways, but man i love it.

Yay nursing! I am doing the same, except for the 'back to school' part, as I've never done it before.

My name is Mark, I'm 24 and was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I'm currently enrolled in university and next year I plan to apply for the BSc. Nursing program, upon the completion of which I plan to work in palliative care, and later in life I would like to become a Buddhist monk. I'm mostly a lurker and tend to only spend a significant amount of time in the OT.
