yep I'm actually writing a comic right now for a friend to draw and in it I call for a huge battle scene with hundreds of soldiers and a sweeping vista. Poor bastard has no idea yet.

I have 2 Absolutes myself (Watchmen & Hush) as well as bunch of TPB's (Lots of Alternate Universe Batman books, Powers, Astonishing X-Men & all of Crimson) and some floppies that I had when I was a kid.

For the most part, I have gone digital but for things like Hawkeye & A-Babies vs. X-Babies that don't come with digital codes, I buy both digitally (for making screenshots) & floppies as I also like reading them on paper.

Refurb iPad is a deal. Go with that as HD comics in Comixology are awesome. My favorite thing to do is take entire pages, screenshot them and then use as a background. I do it with my iphone as well when something catches my eye.

I personally prefer having both book+digital. Digital as a 'backup', and books because that's my personal preference.
Speaking of which I just order Daredevil Vol. 1 by Mark Waid, I should get it within 2 weeks X3 Also ordered some Sonic and Megaman TPBs.

I use an iPad 2 and have been reading comics in some form or another on it since I got it at release. I was reading comics on my iPad 1 as well. I don't know how it compares to the Kindle Fire, but at that price, especially if that's something you're going to use it for, is amazing. I also use a comic reader for non-licensed comics that I read, and a slew of comic apps (like the Archie app for Mega Man <3).

The iPad 3 has the retina screen, so if the Comixology comics are indeed HD, it's a fantastic way to read bunches of comics on the go.

Finished reading Astonishing Spider-man and Wolverine and I loved it. I kinda miss self-contained stories like that. It was fun all around. Loved the art, too.

Read Deadpool vs. the Marvel Universe and that was so damn bad. I was expecting something decent, but ugh. So horrible.

Gotcha. I don't have my ipad with me but last month with Hawkeye #2, I took a screen of the entire last page while just had the cover as my lock screen. It's fun to do it that way as I loved reading that page. On my phone, it's particular panels that I find fun (as I previously posted).

Great price for it, especially with that screen. And iOS Comixology is actually built to take advantage of a tablet.

it all rides on whether or not Comixology is supporting "hd" higher resolution comics on the other devices, so far there's no word, it's too early and they aren't out yet ( kindle fire 8.9'' hd for example, i emailed them asking and they said they are always looking into new devices etc etc etc). Since i already have an android/ics touchpad i guess i'd be in favor of an apple one to have the other side of the coin, but it's not a huge factor.

The best thing about AvX:Consequences is this ridiculous helmet Scott have to use. And this time I'm not pretending I wish him harm, I'm saying that it was actually a very good touch. It is something designed to humiliate him and he's quickly turning it into a symbol.

That would be a really interesting thing to see the fall out of. Bruce would understand why but still be disappointed and I could definitely see why Dick would do it after all the shit that happened to him with his family, the two seem to be fairly close just going by Snyder's Batman comic and I wonder what it would do to their relationship.

I recently got the Batman: The Black Mirror hardcover. It's the greatest Dick Grayson Batman Story before Bruce came back. It's in Detective Comics.
