Colin's opinions are far different than mine (he doesn't think games like Sly 4 or PSASBR should have been on Vita among other things) so I'm not too worried that he doesn't like it.

I kind of thought the combat system was shallow. The repetitiveness of the game doesn't really bother me though.

I was gonna say. If I had a penny for every time a MonHun esque game got called any of those...
Wow, that's the calibre I had in mind when I decided to buy the vita. Looks decently smooth too, excited. Got a bit extra now that I've decided to wait with SFxT (£40, $65) but not sure if this will be the same thing...still will at least get this retail.
Didn't see any of the teleporting someone was mentioning earlier about AC.
Also I've probably whined about this already after sfxt but £35 is my upper limit for vita games, digital or not. I can't imagine too many are buying it digital at that price...you'd think they'd have known that already or at least backtrack with a pricedrop after about 0-1% of expected sales..
Anyone from the UK get Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood for free today? I added them earlier just fine. But just a few minutes ago they aren't free for my brother. Maybe it was a mistake?

The JP demo of Ragnarok Odyssey wasn't too hot IMO, graphics and combat was trivial. But this is a game meant to be played with friends.
I used to think that MP loot games were boring, but after being hopeless glued to Castlevania HD, maybe a similar game to the Vita is all I need for a long time.

The game has been out for months in Japan, and had a JP demo to play around with, assuming you don't mind having / switching multiple accounts.
I find it lacks something to take a game that is already released, that people already like, and preview your "review" by saying a few closely-related negative terms. Surely one of those could be something you LIKED about it?
It will be interesting to see how the reviews go for the game, from this point out, though. Hopefully, they'll be well-rounded and fair... as opposed to a bunch of those "Lets pick on the classic-style Japanese game!" trollviews.
It's Ubi so i doubt it.

$36. The other Ubisoft Vita games are $35.99(Rayman, Lumines, and maybe others).

Ubisoft games in the US are $36, I think. Lumines is $36. Rayman, MJ Experience are too.
It's Capcom that doesn't get it.

Mind you, now that you've said that, i think some of their EU games might have been a tiny bit discounted. Not sure.

If AC:L, NFS:MW and cod all sell well and the vita gets a at least ok sales bump over Christmas do you think we will see renewed support from developers? Or do you think that ship has sailed until its a bonefide success (or not)?

I don't believe we'll ever have a clear picture on how those games perform sales-wise so it really doesn't matter. Everyone will continue to believe what they want to believe.
I'll be picking up the first two games digitally.

re:Ragnarok - i have to say, i went straight from finishing off MH3rdP into it and it left me completely -meh-
I went back to it a bit later and i enjoyed it a bit more, but i just drifted off it. It's not bad, but it's not amazing either. Though i hear the game gets much better later on.

What would you say to someone who has never played a Monster Hunter game looking to get this? Maybe a little better since I don't have a mon hun game to compare it to?
I actually want my first Lego game to be on Vita, just have to see if they did a good job on LOTR.
All I will say is that his standards must have shot through the roof since Kingdoms of Amalur came out.
I just bought 999. If I like that, I'll get VLR.

I really liked the demo, but not at $40. Will buy when it's $20 or less.
Third person action game with uh...combos, and mashing? The thief class or whatever felt like I was playing third person Senran Kagura.
