Two very different games. I'm playing Ninja Gaiden now and its great if your in for an action game. The mission mode is particularly great for a portable experience.

Where are you getting this for 10 bucks. Damn I just bought my copy.

Do we know where exactly Grace Chen works out of?
West Coast or East Coast?
If it's East Coast, she may not even bother going into work.
We'll all be stuck waiting until Wednesday or later.

SCEA is West Coast. We'll be getting the update unless California falls into the ocean as Sandy makes landfall. Don't worry.

For $10 you should get both. They are so different that you should get what appeals you the most.

I would totally get both if I could, but I only have one $10 off any game $19.99+ coupon.

Get Ninja Gaiden. Hot Shots has a chance to be on sale/free via PS+, but it is a great game.

Good point! I forgot about Vita PS+. And Hot Shots does seem like the kind of game that would be handy to have digital. I guess I'll wait until November to see what PS+ offers. Will go with Ninja Gaiden if Hot Shots is on the list.

Thanks all!

Foshy - still planning that NFSMW vita footage?

....framerate stable? Not sure if I should preorder or wait for PSN...probably will end up like SFxT and be £40 again though :/ I'm sure they won't run out of retail..

I also read there were no gates or dirt in the vita version? Seems a bit strange, could you possibly confirm please.

How much did you pay? Hot Shots Golf, Ninja Gaiden, Wipeout, Mortal Kombat, HP Lego, Touch My Katamari, MLB 12, etc. are all $20 now in Canada. Even though most of these are launch titles, I'm surprised the prices have dropped so fast.

You know people who complain that the Vita's screen is too small....how close are you sitting to your tvs?

How long are your arms?? Bring the portable console closer to your face if you're struggling..

The vita is about the same size/proportion to my 42" on my desk.. Even my 15" laptop is.

Some complaints are so confusing (perhaps long sighted people..).. It's the biggest (and nicest) screen of all my actually portable devices.

It's uploading. Could take a while though...about half an hour if we're lucky. Probably a bit more.

Framerate is stable, yes.

Thanks Foshy, will keep an eye out, much appreciated - I just edited in two questions as well, bit late timing but hopefully you could answer - did you see any gates that you smash through in the game? Any dirt from off-road or anything? Those were two things from the pocketgamer review that were mentioned to be missing. Not too bad but still seemed a little bit strange (and I don't trust the reviewer much since he was talking like someone who didn't enjoy his vita).

I bought the digital version off PSN because I figured I would play randomly and put a bunch of hours in between the missions and campaign. It was like 35 bucks lol so yeah I don't click on the store link at all anymore when I'm a few drinks in.

Hah I'm not sure those 4 screenshots are enough to declare it better then x360! Especially when they seem like pretty gimped shots...Is a great looking vita version though.

The character models have more details on the Vita, and the environments look richer... at least to me.

I think they chose bad x360 shots...also can see the difference clearer when you enlarge the photos... But yes the vita version is looking great... I just don't think those realistically portray what the 360 version will be like.

If it is like this then that's pretty disappointing...but it might also be just a bad location example--they are comparing quite different environments in the shots imo:

(^360) - at least the models are nice. I think it is still nicer then vita of course (as it should be) but the vita version looks phenomenal for the platform. Honestly wouldn't be too worried for the 360 version either based on those few, small and separate screenshots.

It just looks like it, that's all.
In reality, AC3:L's character models are lower poly, the textures are lower-res, and the towns are less complex/full of detail. That area in AC3 is just a poor place to take screenshots in general, but the later areas are amazing.

I'm sure it looks better once you get closer into those areas.

Console versions (usually) always cut down on detail in the distance to preserve the frame rate.

Definitely, will be silly to expect better IQ in the vita version, but they haven't done a bad job. That site was just being a bad boy for picking those shots.

Yeah, it still amazes me that they got the game looking that good, although it seems that the trade off is a unstable framerate and sub-native res.
Between AC3:L, NFS:MW, and RO, I should be set for the rest of the year when it comes to portable gaming.

Yet I'm getting even more games like AC3 PC and P4:G.

Have there been many reports citing framerate as a problem? I did read a few a while back but man I hope it's not bad at all...lag infuriates me way more then it should...

Based off of impressions I've read, the framerate dips below 30 during fights and busy environments like the city. I've heard everything from 20-25fps.

I don't think those 360 AC3 shots are representative at all. Most areas in the game look way better than that.

Foshy, get screenshots up stat.

I know that this is some extreme wishful thinking on my part, but with the incredible amount of games coming out tomorrow on PSN (Assassin's Creed III, AC3: Liberation, NFS: Most Wanted, Ragnarok Odyssey, etc.), I really hope that Grace Chen updates the store early to give us enough time to download everything. I think the store updated around 2pm Eastern the day that Sound Shapes released, so it is possible.

You're really giving Grace Chen time the benefit of the doubt.

7pm EST at least.

First video is up ;) Driving while recording is pretty hard as I wasn't really in a comfortable position lol

Sorry for the quality changes, at times it looks perfect and then the camera loses focus again.

Thank a lot for the footage

It looks quite impressive, I will buy this for sure

Did you noticed if there are races where the streets are wet? it looks really good on the ps3 version but I haven't seen any footage of that for vita
