I usually chat to him a fair bit but haven't seen any sign of him in well over a month. I'm a little bit worried, but keeping my concern in check after that whole gaffer-who-we-thought-was-in-a-japanese-jail thing.

I'm very sorry to say that I'm fairly certain Gaborn passed away on September 26th, 2012.

It's not my place to violate his privacy or speak on behalf of his family, but there is an obituary for someone matching his exact name and birthday in the state where he lived.

I am just utterly devastated. I've maintained a close friendship with Kendall since 2009. He was instrumental in helping me get my life on track and was a big part of my support network coming out as trans. I spoke to him last on the 25th, as he wished me good luck with my surgery that morning. He was so excited for me and couldn't wait to see my results. He was an amazingly supportive friend and I'm really, really going to miss him.
