Holy FUCK at the amount of story left out and saved for Terminals. This is frustrating and I cannot in good faith say the game has a good story when so many goddamn crucial parts of it are left to more or less extras not immediately apparent to all players. Book knowledge required still seems auxillary, so that's good, but I'd imagine this stuff would have been much clearer if that knowledge was available to all and at least the important points described in the actual game.
Questions:
1) Why wouldn't and didn't the Librarian preserve herself as well, instead of just the Didact and the indexes of all the other species? If she could preserve so much genetic material, why not her own? Why is AI form preferrable, wouldn't AI be vulnerable to the Didact being able to tamper with it too?
2) What were those tests the Didact did on himself? He mentions a simulation, but he's on the ground like he's panting from some treatment he just received. (terminal 5)
3) So the Didact and The Librarian are the two head honchos of the Forerunner in their time or what? Who was the third dude mediating discussion?
