PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

they say these games for under 5$ a month... so are these games free then? or are these the games that are first arriving as digital downloads where you still have to pay?

Amazing Offer :-O Bought Uncharted GA when it first came out and absolutely loved it. It is well and truly every bit of a high quality experience as it is on the ps3. Getting this game along with the others is absolute madness. Incredible.

No info on the Japanese PS+ yet from the looks of it.

I have just over 500 yen in my wallet, and considered getting PS+ if a game I wanted was ever given a discount, but if the Japanese selection is good I may go ahead.

Either way, I'll be waiting a few weeks though; that way I'll have a month to enjoy whatever games they release first, while still having a week or two to enjoy whatever they release in the second month.

Yes, one sub for both platforms.

So I can download all of those to my PS3 and transfer most of them,to play one at a time in the Vita(measely 4 GB memory card here from the AC Bundle),like Gravity Rush and all?....I don't have PS + for now, sure tempted to grab it now...

You pay $5 a month and you can play these games. You stop paying $5 a month you don't get to play the games.

I recall hearing during the Vita launch that playing games off the memory stick was a bit of a let-down because the read speed was so slow. Is it actually that bad, or does the concept of free games trump any short-comings?

This announcement was timed for the Call of Duty release, no doubt. Now people on the fence about buying that CoD Vita bundle will be heavily persuaded

This is great, now i get JSR and ff tactics and uncharted, other than that i owned the other 3 already, now i need to figure out if i want to take the plunge on other vita games or wait for them to get plussed -looks at dokuro- .

Uh no. It's slightly slower than cart but that's it.

From a personal perspective this is pretty disappointing as i already own Uncharted, Gravity Rush and Mutant Blobs attack so the only new game for me is that Chronovolt but i can live with that since it bodes well for future games included on the Vita instant games collection.

Fantastic start though for people who dont have these games and the new firmware is looking pretty snazzy.

Im hoping we get FFT and JSR too as i would love to have both of them.

Still a great time for Vitacats/Dogs/Bros :)

I wonder whether the deal will be this sweet for the Asian PS+ subs. Make me want to pay for two PS+ subscriptions.

Oh boy how the tables have turned on EU users. The explanation as to why US get 6 titles and EU get 4...

No real reason we just feel it is a better set up for EU this way

A better set up? What? 2 less games and 3 of those identical to the US is a better set up? OK...

Edit: Beaten black and blue.

This confirms that I will remain a PS+ member for the foreseeable future and that I might actually pull out my Vita and use it occasionally.

I just hope they let people grab the stuff from their PS3. I don't have a Vita so I don't want to miss any of the freebies.

I don't see why we wouldn't be able to get them on the PS3 store like we can every other Vita game, PSP game, and Mini.
That's where I download everything anyway and just leave the bubble so if I need memory card space I don't have to redownload anything.

So it seems I'll be getting a Vita sooner rather than later.

Here are all the sizes for the games incase you''re wondering.
Uncharted Golden Abyss: 3.2gb
Gravity Rush: 1.5gb
Wipeout 2048: 1.6gb
Jet Set Radio: ???
Final Fantasy Tactics: 205mb
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack: 127mb

I need a bigger memory card.

Thanks, I was wondering this.

Looking forward to the cloud saves the most. Curious what the big "but" will be. There's always a big but when Sony introduces something. I hope it isn't something like "Can only upload certain save files, doesn't work with PSP or mini save files or something like that".

Save data ends up being a couple hundred megabytes per game.

It's true, Europeans are stupid second-tier trash and can't appreciate getting more games. Oh wait, I'm European.

I imagine the real reason is becuase they aren't that many premium Vita games that they could offer and SCEE decided to space them out, whereas SCEA decided to make a big splash with their opening offer. I'd expect in the coming months that both sides will start filling out more spaces with PSP games (which I would be fine with, given some of the stuff in the PSPs library).

Man, I was just about to get Wipeout and Gravity Rush. And planned to get JSR when it came out.

The best part is I have homebrew on my Vita to play my PSP UMDs. Specifically to play, yup, FFT:WotL. So Sony is taking away my homebrew and giving me the game I was using it to play, for free.

This worked out almost too well. Only downside is I lose the slowdown patch fix.

Absolutely ridiculous, three of those games would have been purchases, two others were games I was interested in checking out, and also Uncharted is there. Now it looks like my money will be spent on a stupid memory card. Thank goodness Gravity Rush and Wipeout are relatively small, it looks like a 16gb card will have me covered.

I don't have a Vita, but i have PS+, and the selection of games really makes me want to buy one. Had they announced them earlier, i would have bought a Vita instead of a Nexus 7. But it definitely has become part of my list of things to buy.

Hmm, great news, though I hear the US gets six titles, including Wipeout, which is obviously another Vita retail release.

Why the discrepancy?

No real reason we just feel it is a better set up for EU this was, but there will be a few surprises over the coming months so look out :)

Oh, fuck you SCEE.

I really hate it when they try and make out less and worse content is better for us.

online saves is huge for vita games, because the saves are stuck with the game, so backing up via PC/PS3 takes ages (so you don't bother, and lose stuff). PSP games have the save data stored separately already, so you could back that up wirelessly to a PC really fast. So if PSP game saves don't get put online its not the end of the world.

backfires on them though, because now I'm not buying JSR in the UK, I'll just wait. (already have wipeout but if I didn't, I wouldn't buy that either).

whoa, good job scea. already own Uncharted GA retail, but nice to have digital copy. I've also been waiting for Wipeout to come down in price digitally since retail got cut, but now I got it for free, and I got FFT umd, but it's nice to be able to play them on Vita now.

I think the big news here is Square allowing their games to be part of plus IGC. I hope they have more games coming to IGC in the future. it'd be nice to have FF4 or FF3 remake on vita.

fully agree

Thanks. Now to decide if I'm going to impulse order from amazon today or d/l on PS3 and wait until xmas to get a Vita.

Knowing myself, no matter what I decide, I'll end up with one by tomorrow lol.

Very cool, but how does PS+ work exactly? Can you redownload the games if you delete them? And is it possible to download games from the months before if you didn't grab them back then (insufficient space, no interest, etc.)?
