PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

Very cool, but how does PS+ work exactly? Can you redownload the games if you delete them? And is it possible to download games from the months before if you didn't grab them back then (insufficient space, no interest, etc.)?

Yes. No, unless you claimed them in the past while you had PS+

You can redownload any game you've gotten with PS+. All you have to do is "purchase" the game for free and not even start the download and it's yours to download whenever you'd like as long as you're subscribed.

yes, you can redownload if you delete them, even if they've been removed from the service. But you have to at least download them once when they are available.

(you can cancel the download so they just sit in your download history too)

you can't go and download games that aren't available anymore if you didn't previously download them. If you have no space or interest, just start a download and cancel them. That way they're always there waiting for you.

Never Stop Playing.

never seen it in reverse, still awesome. Really good value, but I think the vita games will refresh at a slower rate.

Yes

Yes. Just be sure to add them to your cart and check them out so they get added to your download list. You don't have to download them immediately, just check them out.

This is what I do every month anyway when new stuff gets added...I check everything out and then selectively download stuff later depending on my mood.

Uncharted AND Gravity Rush AND Jet Set Radio AND Wipeout 2048 AND Final Fantasy Tactics?

If you find fault in all of those games, you have poor tastes in gaming.

Those are incredible games. I don't own a Vita and even I can't deny that kind of a value like that for less than $5.

Apologizes but Uncharted is much too choppy to enjoy on Vita. Clearly the Vita isn't powerful enough to render the whole game at a stable 30/60 fps (Whatever was programmed).

Sure I'd like to try Gravity Rush and JSR but Wipeout and FFT aren't that great. Doesn't really warrant 60+ dollar purchase of a memory card for me.

But yeah like a previous poster said... maybe the next batch of games > this batch

Then what happens when my PS+ expire? If I don't connect online the games will always be there playable?

When you download a PS+ game to your Vita it comes with an expiration date that coincides with the end of you Plus subscription. You have to copy the game over again when the expiration date passes.

At least that's what I've done with my Minis and PSone games I got through PS+. They might improve the system with firmware 2.0.

I've beaten that game twice and it runs fine. It's really impressive.

The American PS+ for Vita is way better, I think I'll wait a bit until I join, because I already have Uncharted and Gravity Rush and the European PS+ doesn't offer nothing more that I like.

Going by the SCEA PS3 version, I'd say probably not.

Yeah Wipeout is one of the best games on Vita. And I don't know what you mean by Uncharted being too choppy to enjoy on Vita. That's another great game. Just shouldn't have been $50.

Vita games will refresh more slowly and I'm sure they will include A LOT of PSP games going forward.

Not that I'm complaining, I never owned a PSP.

I wonder how the online storage for PSV is going to work... As far as I can recall, the save data was bonded to the game bubble and if you deleted one of them you deleted both, correct?

I guess that's changed in 2.00?

Here are all the sizes for the games incase you''re wondering.
Uncharted Golden Abyss: 3.2gb
Gravity Rush: 1.5gb
Wipeout 2048: 1.6gb
Jet Set Radio: ???
Final Fantasy Tactics: 205mb
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack: 127mb

I need a bigger memory card.

Me too. And you can't swap out memory cards with different games installed can you? I have an 8GB but it's not enough. I wouldn't want the 8GB to go to waste if I can't even use it though

So much wrong in this post. Wipeout is amazing. FFT is one of the best games ever made.

I am so happy for next week right now, lol.

Still cant believe I'll get Uncharted, JSR, Wipeout for free on the same day I'll buy Persona 4.

<3

If all games are the same account, you can.

Yeah this is what I'm looking forward to the most. If they fix the way the save system is, hopefully we'll be able to back up individual saves to the PC as well. Yeah wishful thinking I know, but if they can do it for the online storage, surely it'd be possible to do it on the PC as well.

Reason why EU gets less

So they thought we'd like less games :P

It worked out on the PS3 side of things, so I wouldn't bet against them. And I think the complaints will kick them into gear. PS+ content seems to be one of the very few areas where SCEE actually listens to their fanbase.

But my PS+ expires this month or next :(

and i don't have a vita, damn i want to play gravity rush and jet grind radio on vita

but i have PS3 so i can finally play scott pilgrim :D

There's not any sort of IP check in place, right? I can use my US PSN account in another country without any problems, right? I plan to continue using my US PSN account exclusively once I move to Europe.

Finally got up to watch the firmware video and I think I've finally found the thing that makes me regret getting a WiFi Vita the most. The email app looks like it would have been perfect for the 3g version, and if Skype updates anytime soon with chat capabilities (of which they said they were working on), it would be a pretty nice device for people without a smartphone.

There's an IP block for the video store, but the game store is region free.

I have a US account in Germany, so you are fine.

Fuck PS Rental service. The bigger news here is they're doing an e-mail app. Something I wanted a few months ago! OMG Yosp listens!?

Maybe he'll patch in the universal screendump/screenshot function into games like Call of Duty and Marvel against their will? Maybe I'll get an eBook reader app finally!?

OMG!? OMG!? OMG!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Nice, especially that like they said it will be on top of the existing subscription.

Sucks being an early adopter though, I own most of these games and now they are going to essentially be free on top of what I was already paying, great for those who don't own a lot of Vita games but mostly useless for me at the moment.

Knew I should have traded in Uncharted and Gravity Rush yesterday when I had the chance, knowing they were announcing this today and that they were some early games I held back, meh, annoying, I think I will go trade in Uncharted and Gravity Rush tomorrow. Shame to have missed out on that 33% extra from the CoD launch though, lucky I traded in Resistance I imagine, seems like a likely future title.

Will probably just stop buying Vita games at the moment and just keep the Subscription if most of the titles are going to end up on this.

I don't know if that's the case anymore after the update. I can easily go to the video store in my UK account now. Still can't go to the JP video store, but they haven't updated the store there yet.

EDIT: Talking about PS3, not sure on vita.
