PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

But my PS+ expires this month or next :(

and i don't have a vita, damn i want to play gravity rush and jet grind radio on vita

but i have PS3 so i can finally play scott pilgrim :D
I think you can access the Vita games from the PS Store on the PS3 as well. This way you can "buy" the games so that they are added to your download list. This way they will always be there (as long as you have a PS+ subscription of course) in case you buy a Vita in i.e a year from now.

Are there any other benefits to PS+ besides the games?

And I see Wireless PC connection as a feature. Can someone explain in more detail what this is used for? I'm a little confused.

Quick question: Does the game become unplayable after your sub runs out/you go offline?
I'm fairly sure that, if your sub runs out, the games will stop working. Haven't tested it so I don't really know.

You can DEFINITELY play free games offline, however.

Fuck PS Rental service. The bigger news here is they're doing an e-mail app. Something I wanted a few months ago! OMG Yosp listens!?

Maybe he'll patch in the universal screendump/screenshot function into games like Call of Duty and Marvel against their will? Maybe I'll get an eBook reader app finally!?

OMG!? OMG!? OMG!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You should join the plusbros. It's really nice and cozy here. <3

Cloud saves. Automatic updates for firmware and patches, automatic trophy syncs, and discounts.

Sweet, I wanted at least 3 of those games but passed on them, already have a subscription, so that's pretty cool.

Given that all the games being offered are old, I suppose it's possible that they aren't losing money.

Actually it´s because what SCEA said a while back. That the subscriptions increased significantly after E3 on the PS3. Why would they be trying to get more subs if the service is losing money? It does not make sense. PS+ most definitely provide Sony and their third party partners profit, and the service serves as an advertisement to sequel, since they offer sometimes prequel games for free for plus, so people can buy sequels. This service is really win win for everyone.

SCEA beating SCEE in PS+ offerings. As a Euro PS+ subscriber I really can't complain.

This is off to a promising start. I hope Sony get some Vita momentum and capitalise on it.

Lazy d00d here.

PS+ users both old and those subscribing for the service get to download those games for the price of PS+ monthly fee, but do they stay playable next month?

I think that the way it works is the games are set to expire when your sub is set to expire/renew.

At least that's what happened to me, I had to re-download a few games that I received during my first year.

damn, own all the european ones except chronovolt which i will give a try. wipeout will inevitably be the next choice for europe too and i've played that too. still great value given that i subscribed to plus solely for the ps3 stuff.

If you are still subscribed next month, yes.

I am
for a month, when this launches only for Uncharted and Wipeout
. Service is mostly terrible for what they give you. If I already had Uncharted and Wipeout this update would be a wash. So...

This is amazing. Is it possible to add these games to my download list from my PS3? I'd like to have these on my account whenever I eventually get a Vita.

Uhh, wow. And of course I own or cleared most of those Vita games, and I guess I may as well have gotten Jet Set Radio on the PS3 afterall. Still, very nice! Just have to find out what happens with save data, don't want my tiny save files to be absorbed permanently into larger installs.

That's like... a really good deal, damn.

How's the PSN security nowadays? :D

lol, no complaints since the big disaster a while ago.

Btw, you can decide not to resub too, and once you do a few months later you still have access to the games you got through ps+ earlier.

Yes, buying for free during the PS+ offer on the PS3 is enough too.

Okay Sony, you got me. Buying 3 months of PSN+ and downloading the Vita games on my PS3 for when I eventually purchase the system.

Well there isn't much else they can offer considering cross game voice chat and online multiplayer are free.

Niice, i will now keep my Vita i currently have for sale online lol, guess that means i'm selling my 360 once i'm done with H4

Great move by Sony.

Clever, clever Sony.

Increases vita sales.
Increases memory card sales.
Gives US a better deal than EU, increases plus sales.

Well done.

FUCK. I sold my Vita last week. MY gosh.

...
Its been known for WEEKS that this will come rather soonish. Anyone selling their Vita in the last month or so deservedly gets punished.

They could at least give me a discount for the insta-free games I like them enough so I can keep them after my rental service expires something they still don't do in the store because the store thinks you "own" it.

I have a feeling this isn't going to dramatically move units. PS+ has been great as a value, but it hasn't helped Sony to move more PS3's, or if it has, they'd have been WAAAAY down compared to what they are now.

It all depends on how aggressive they advertise it.
