Sadly a limited browsing experience. If you try and open anything too heavy it'll ask you to close the game so that it can use more resources.

Also, every time you want to get back to it you need to go into twitter, click a link, thne close the tab you don't want just to go back where you were.
 
Excellent start Sony. That should push me to buy a Vita now, especially since I'm already on PS+.

So guys, whats the average size for Vita games? And will there be a 64GB memory anytime soon?

Yeah I know but hey its better than nothing. Though apparently for Ragnarok Odyssey it uses so many resources that you can barely browse the mobile version of gaf.

biggest Vita game is 3.2GB I think , which is UC:GA, Lumines is around 800MB, I'd say retail games are within that range
 
I hope firmware 2.01 lets you DISABLE THE EFFING BACK TOUCH PANEL. It makes playing PS Classics on the Vita unplayable for me. And overall it's such a worthless feature.

Hopefully we get more free PSP games. Also, Hurray for Dungeon Defenders. I'm about to quadruple dip it. Always wanted the PSN version to play splitscreen with my friends.

was pondering playstaion plus to get myself infamous2 ... this just seals the deal, at the rate i finish games i probably wont have to buy another vita game ever.

i'm halfway through uncharted, looking fwd to gravity rush.
 
Tried to look through the thread and didn't see this answered, if it's already been asked I apologize.

But if I have PS+ and only a PS3, is there anyway to tag this to download so I can grab these games if I get a Vita in the future and keep my PS+ sub ative?

Someone in here said that the Vita offers will appear on PS3 as well.
So you can add them to your download list for whenever you do get PS+

Hmm, I logged on but didn't seem to see them. Any idea where to look specifically? Vita games didn't show up in the PS+ sections, and PS+ games didn't show up in the one vita section.
 
Even though I already played Wipeout and Uncharted, Gravity Rush is a most welcome addition!!! :-D

Content not as good for EU as US but still, pretty good deal. I'm pleased with it!!! So glad I got that Vita sub in September!!! :-D

Yeah, you can access the Vita store on PS3.
 
Just to make it clear, if I join PS+ now I can play all these games for an unlimited time as.long as I stay within the PS+ program?

Yep, once they're released on Plus next week. If PS+ ever expires they'll still remain on your system but will be unplayable. If you subscribe again then they'll reactivate.

seriously if this doesn't sell vita's i don;t know what will.

it's basically a system with a free stream of games if you own a ps3 already ..

and more stuff like all-stars with cross play ... i mean seriously ...actually i'm greedy but it would have been nice if that game hit P+ too ....

my main issues with handhelds in general is i live across the road from work, and finding free gaming time when i'm not in front of a ps3 is basically 30mins or so in bed before i zzzzzz ...

i don't play mobile games on my cell, i'd rather hit twitter for a few mins .. free games and new ways to use my vita is the way to go sony. nice moves

*not to mention you get all-stars free anyways if you buy it on ps3 right? ??
 
And that's how Sony competes for my $. Still, incredibly stupid to have proprietary-format (and account-based) memory cards.

Yes, as long as you download them (or at least take them to checkout) while they're free. Apart from that, you can redownload them whenever you like as long as you have Plus.
 
Having your sub run out is the worst feel ever, I didn't play a lot of the games I even got. I'll just resub now for this deal since I only have Ragnarok Odyssey for my Vita.

I think their main aim for this is to get PS3 only owners to go "Hmm, look at these free Vita games I could be playing, maybe I should get a Vita".

They'll probably see a bit of a sales bump this month and mainly next month, then I'd guess sales will level off a bit but it'll have long term appeal, because every month people would be adding two more Vita games they could be playing, so the temptation to get a Vita to play them would get stronger each month.
 
I like the hooks in the new firmware as well. When you try to use the cloud storage it tells you that you need PS+ and links to the store.
 
Can you buy Vita games through the PS3. Won't be getting a Vita until around Feb, but would like to have these plus games on my download list.
 
Anyone want to buy my Uncharted and Wipeout? :p

I hope there's a store redesign to go with this, if only to highlight PS Plus features.
