PS+ for PS Vita comes next week with FW 2.00, games revealed (WOW)

Just saw this, this sounds good, like real good. Makes the handheld absolutely worth it, just for the games that are being offered for free at the moment.

I'm sure the Assassins Creed Liberation bundle will be around $199 sometime before Christmas and I might just pull the trigger. I almost did last week, kinda held back with all the backlog I have.

You don't HAVE to buy a 32GB. You'll be fine with a 16GB - you'll have to juggle content a lot though

unless you're going to store videos or other media, 16 gb is plenty, most vita games didn't reach 4 gb. you can easily store 4 or 5 vita games plus a lot of psn/psp/mobile games.

my 16gb card have 5 vita games, 10 psn/psm games, 3 psp games, and 5 ps1 games. that's more than enough games I'll ever play at one time.

Gaikai is going to be the new PS+, or at least a big part of PS+ next gen. It makes too much sense.
I think so too, I think they will integrate PS+ into Gaikai and try to turn PS+ into a netflix of sorts for games.

Unless Sony have found a way to emulate the Cell properly so they can move away from having to manufacture it, I can't see Gaikai being able to stream PS3 games any time soon, at the moment you would need like one PS3 per person who wants to play a game which just wouldn't be feasible economically for Sony to provide to each user who buys the console.

But then if they have found a way using current tech, I think I saw someone suggest using a some sort of GPU to do it, then theres no reason the PS4 wouldn't be able to do it as well while using non Cell parts server side.

Either way it will be interesting to see what they do with Gaikai and backwards compatibility, currently I can just see PS1/PS2 games being streamed at best without it costing an arm and a leg for Sony or the consumer.

I don't think Gaikai followed OnLive's ridiculous model of one machine per customer. I believe their streaming technology was different.

Yeah, but I think it's going to be hard to do that with PS3 software, unless Sony is working on some special multi-cell servers or something. I wouldn't think PS3 cloud games is a certainty, yet...I would guess they ARE investigating solutions, but we shall see what actually emerges.

Well OnLive for a start was more of a service for consumers rather than Gaikai that was a service for companies that wanted to set up their own online environment, like Samsung did so Gaikai would sort it out along with game licensing.

But as you said OnLive was different, they used a 1:1 ratio for Computers to Users, Gaikai use Virtualisation iirc to run multiple games on a server at the same time, but that would be much much harder to do with PS3 games than a normal PC one without being able to emulate PS3 hardware, otherwise they will need some sort of PS3 configuration server side per person to do it.

Yeah, but my PSP/PS1/Mini downloads alone already are 16GB. That's gonna be a lot of juggling :P
Bought the wifi model with a 32GB card for 250. So happy! oled is so pwetty! :D

Rule of thumb for storage is there's never enough. I caved and bought a 32GB card. With Plus, I'm sure it'll fill up faster than expected.

I wouldn't have minded some Plus discounts on third party games.

I got a 32GB card in the summer. It's got 11GB left now. I expect PS+ on Vita to do further damage. My PS3 had at least 100GB free space before I signed up for PS+ last year and now it's got nothing left.

Always good to have games to play. :)

Even though I own UMvC3. I hope that game comes out for plus in the future just so there are more people online.

Why? It'd just die a week or so later kinda like Wipeout probably will do.

So if I want to be stingy, and only use my 4GB. Would it be plausible to use PS+ for all my game saves, and then use the utility to switch around games back and forth between the Vita and PC?

They do really need to hurry the fuck up with 64gb and 128gb cards if they're gonna have a lot of Plus content over the next year.

I would prefer for Sony to just do the honourable thing and release a new model of the Vita with 16-32GB onboard storage with an expansion slot that accepts their proprietary memory cards.

But we all know why they won't. :/

Had been waiting on a Vita for a while now. Got given one for doing a bit of work for someone.

Only has a 4GB card with it, so will need to save to get a new one £55 is the best price I have seen thus far.

My timing couldn't be better though, PS+ is just amazing and as soon as I get my PS3 again (had to sell for bills) I will be really happy.

Can anyone confirm is Uncharted will fit on a 4GB card if I remove my other games stored on it?

Still need bigger memory cards as well for any early adopters who want them.

How often will they put new games for download? I can't imagine very often..otherwise, people would stop buying games.. (I'm mainly talking about the vita)

The big games are going to be changed once every 2 months. I'm guessing MK and Unit13 will be the next ones.
