Did Marvel ever mention the biological parents of Hope?

All New X-Men is how it happened! Present Cyke and Past Jean get together then she's sent to the past and Hope's unborn fetus is flung into the time stream where it eventually emerges at some point in the past full born and grown.

watxm was pretty weak, such varying quality on this book.

batman was quite good, i already like this arc way better than the lame owls stuff.

locke and key was amazing, this last arc is going to be brilliant. destined to go down as one of the greats.

re-reading Hickman's Fantastic Four has been incredibly satisfying. i'm surprised i'm re-reading it so shortly after it finished but it's just that captivating.

everything about uncanny avengers makes me sad remender was moved from UXF. i have faith in the kid, but it's going to be tough to make me care about that ragtag cast.

All New X-Men,
I don't think the entire original x-men stay in the future. Just Jean Grey and it will be for awhile until they finally get rid of her too. The reason I'm thinking this is because she featured on the cover for both issue 5 and 6, she was also featured on the Marvel NOW promo. Bendis better not kill of Beast. :/
I thought it was confirmed in interviews that
the O5 are ALL here to stay?

Also, I'm guessing now that in that one unfinished panel released from issue number 5 that
Beast is the one having heart surgery while the others look on... and young Beast is the one operating?

Her mother, yes. Her father? No.

Well it was just speculation. I'm in it for an arc to find out.

Edit: Thanks. So the Father is a dangling plot thread.

As a Beast fan, it has SUCKED being one for the past decade. Everyone just writes him as a walking science explainer, and artists don't have a consistent look for him at all. Snout or no snout, 4 fingers or 5. Some just say fuck it and draw ape-beast with a cat nose. Ever since cat mutation there hasn't really been anything about the character that I've enjoyed both written and drawn.

It's to the point where I'd actually welcome
his potential death, while letting original human Beast stay and take over.
Maybe it'll give creators the inspiration to write him as a more enjoyable character instead of a complaining hypocrite.

Cassaday's art is so dull and generic. I'm so pissed that he's slowing down this series with his shitty mud faces.

yea cant say im too in love with his modern tyle but old cassady was awesome.

Aquaman #13: I wanted to see Black Manta
Die. Die die die. He killed two of Aquaman's super friends and i feel robbed of some story vindication, but there is no death penalty for intellectual properties. I look forward to Manta killing more of Aquaman's friends in future issues with no consequence
.

I...kinda agree. On the one hand, I get that Johns wanted to show that Arthur has grown and moved on from being driven by revenge. On the other hand, we've had 7 issues of Arthur being all "I'm going to do it bro! Don't fuck with me! Imma end this little shit!" and then he just says "Nope" when he gets the chance. I get it, but it was annoying.

Speaking of Aquaman, he's apparently the Sexiest Superhero Alive. Personally, I give credit for this to Reis.

That boy look good.

ASM wrapped up nicely.
Interesting plot going on with Rod Kingley, making supervillains all over the world. I really liked Harry's new haircut. The Gold Octobot showed up just to be annoying and it seems Norman Osborn is on the loose. Going into Dying Wish blind thanks to withheld spoilers.

Uncanny Avengers gets an expanded cast

My hats off to Cassaday for remembering Wolverine is a short shit.

Now he can get back to his regularly scheduled 8 alternate covers for Dynamite a month. LOLOLOL

i thought sunfire was dead

Don't worry, you'll get used to this over time.

Speaking of bad art, did you jerks see that Quietly stuff for his illfated Millar team up?

See - not iconic characters, looks just fine! Although looks like he's tracing the chick from Chronicles of Ridiculous.

But if he did that...he wouldn't exist in the present....>.>

Pfft like shit making sense has stopped anyone before!

Yea, lots of good stuff. As far as I can tell there are no actual spoilers for this final arc out there other than what we know about SSM (which is almost nothing). Shit is locked down tighter than a bank. I'd kill a guy for even a tiny spoiler at this point.

True, I just realized something
X-23 will kill Cyclops D: Wolverine is all passive now, and Laura will do it against the wishes of Capt.

With Uncanny relaunching? No way it happens. It's painfully obvious what Bendis is doing, All New and Uncanny are both going to be part of the
Cyclops redemption arc
.

No one else read Invincible? I wanna talk about it with someone, fuuuuuuuuuck.

i read it in trade and am behind. last thing i read was virtumite war. and a few issues after that. iirc
when eve admitted to getting an abortion

she is a bit busy

Thought ANXM was great. I don't read solicits and am not going to speculate on where it's all headed but I thought it was a really interesting and exciting opening to a new era for X-Men. Also how fucking awesome is Immonen? Man that book was amazing to look at.

Comixology is having a strange sale I think a lot of it in the 99cent section for those interested in more DC classic comics (You got to run through the list).

Most of the stuff on the beginning pages are kids comics.

Edit: Seems it was a glitch, comics are disappearing. :/

What is this bullshit? Damian got bit in the shoulder in B&R 13. I demand Zombie Robin.

I liked All-New X-men, but I thought it was going to be something else. The way it looks to me now, it's just going to be a continuation of Uncanny X-Men. And when did they break Emma out? I totally missed that part.

Matt Fraction's Fantastic Four could be cool. This issue was pretty good. It was no Hickman, but it was good. I thought Ben was pretty funny.

Comixology has a sale on The Boys complete series right now. To those who have read the whole thing or even parts, does it come close to the quality of Preacher or even Punisher/Fury MAX?

.

I do. I was expecting a lameass issue on a character I don't care about before the shit starts hitting the fan next month . Instead I got an interesting, seriously fucked up issue that finally made me interested in the character.

That ending.

Ugh, Thor was really good. I didn't want it to be good but it was good and now I am going to read a Thor book.

Batman 14 was pretty good too. Not as good as 13 but I think everyone complaining about this arc/Joker/whatever is crazy in the coconut. I don't even like Batman (shut up) and I'm eating this stuff up.

Having read the entire series, I'd rate it below the stuff you mentioned but it's still very good. I'd definitely recommend it.

It's far longer than it should have been and meanders off into dullness for a while. To be fair Preacher does do the same thing so if you're OK with a dip in the story you'll probably enjoy it a great deal.

Wolverine and the X-Men actually came about from both Schism and the events in Wolvie's solo series that were happening at the time. Basically he
killed his kids that he didn't know about and that fucked him up big time.
Then in Schism, he saw Idie being told to kill by Cyclops and then she went kind of crazy, so he got those kids out of the situation. It makes perfect sense if you've read into Wolverine's history. You won't find a more self-sacrificing, honourable guy despite some terrible runs that turned him into generic berserker with no morals.

Basically, Wolverine opening a school makes perfect sense. Deal with it.

lol "deal with it!" Good one!! Lol!!

Sad thing about Wolverine is that he is only this "succesful" in Marvel's eyes because he is not one character. He is at least 5 different Wolverine across the books. His best form is in the solo books and in UXF, he is a useless garbage in the main Avengers books, and something between those two ends in the other X-books. Catering to different demo with all type? :P

Punk Rock Jesus got exceptionally preachy in this issue. Batman 14 was good, but missed some of the bite from 13. Saga was glorious.

PRJ writing has really dipped in quality thesr last couple issues. Feels like he's really running out of ideas at this point. At least there's only one issue left.

Really tho, saying WatXM is ridiculous merely because of its premise is lunacy. Every single comic book in the history of the comic book medium has had a stupid premise. Every single one of them. None are exempt.

I'm starting to feel that I still like WatXM because I USED to like it. The charm is wearing off for me. :(

What the heck bro, they took one issue off to introduce some new kids. Think of poor Broo!

If we're being completely honest I think it just hasn't fully recovered from AvX yet. None of the X-Men books have and it sucks. We shouldn't have Broo's situation backburner'd while we're off galli-fucking-vanting with Angel (when did he get metal wings again btw?) in Portugal.

If you think about it, the entire makeup the book and roster really got shook up. Kid Gladiator and Warbird are gone. Evan made an (anachronistic?) appearance an ish or two ago but he's wrapped up in UXF madness. The series needs to reestablish its student cast and get back to some school-time hijinks ASAP.

I quite liked WatXM this week, even if it did feel a bit side-storyish. Angel passing his energy sword and saying "hold this" made me laugh out loud. Not many cape comics achieve that.

Dreading a Spidey body swap from Slott leading to Superior. Dreading it.

Never bought a Thor book before, but I guess now I am. Now!'s first victory.

Now onto the shit-pie dessert. Is there something in the water at Marvel's Writer Farm. Has Bendis begun to suffer the same stroke that Loeb has. So many poorly worded fucking sentences and shitty writing:

- Hank sounds nothing like Hank.
- "WE WILL NOW GO TO THAT PLACE".
- Typical Bendis back and forth from characters that don't do it, eg. Storm.
- So we're saying "you are mutant" now rather than "you are a mutant".

I also hate seeing Bendis shit around with WatXM turf. So much of the X-books direction being under his wobbly hand pisses me off, will be even worse when UXF ends.
