Well I am gonna keep reading all new X and Thor. It pleases me that Cyclops is being the best right now.

I also have Fantastic Four and X-men legacy but I have not read them yet. I hope to later today.

Edit: Actually I just found the time to check out legacy. It's...interesting. It gives a very different feeling from the other X books. Those of you who are so inclined to read it, please do. Frankly, I am wrestling with my own personal feelings on the book and talking about it would help.

*looks at Marvel February solicits*

This is definitely a trap month with Uncanny X-Men, Nova, and Guardians. Starting Guardians with a 0.1 issue so Bendis can have a field day not even starting a story...it's perfect.

Yup. Hickman's New Avengers sounds like it'll be good though.

Who's going to try Nick Spencer's Secret Avengers? I haven't paid much attention to any of his Marvel work, i didn't think Spencer's previous secret avengers 3 issues were that good. I like Morning Glories though :P

Also, A+X #5 has a doop/iron fist team up by kathryn immonen.

I don't think i can skip that issue like i do the rest.

God damn Saga is fucking great. Read vol 1 and the new issue just right now.

In other news - I had a dream that a new Mehvel Now X-Book was announced. The writer was somebody 90's X-Famous (Lobdell?) but the artist?

Arthur Adams!

And even in my dreams I thought, this will be the most amazing four issue run in recent memory. :(

i went in to buy my hardcopy of saga but i had to cop this...

i find myself slowing down with the annihilation: conquest stuff. can i just read the nova/ gotg series without the rest of marvel cosmic or will i be lost?

You’ve followed him through the history making (and changing!) AvX and now the mystery of the all-new Nova are revealed in this breathtaking new ongoing by the best-selling, award winning team of Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness (RED HULK, Avengers X-Sanction).

Stellar grammar, Loeb.

All-New X-Men has exactly the ammount of plot progression we got it from the previews. This is how much Bendis annoys me. The issue and the preview has the same information.

I don't think he writes the solicit (I REALLY hope he doesn't).

Jeph Loeb is also responsible for Black Death, The Great Depression, and HIV/AIDS. </comicsgaf>

On my second viewing of Avengers I was reflecting on how it violated Loeb's rules of writing entertaining superhero yarns.

WHY IS CAP PULLING LEVERS?! AREN'T THERE SHIELD AGENTS FOR THAT?! WHY IS SHIELD GENERALLY SO WILDLY INCOMPETENT?! >:O

Huh this is a bit worrying if doc strange is involved. Also a strip club really??

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/11/15/drunk-comics-creator-spills-spider-man-spoiler-in-strip-club/

Well that settles it! Doc puts a magic wammy on Peter because now that everyone knows who he is they're all in danger unless he's dead. The two fake his death and now he has a new identity and appearance.

Unless Doc Strange is the new Spider-man, in which case it will be funny watching everyone's reactions to Spidey yelling about the eye of agamoto every few panels.

EDIT: What is with Marvel editors and naked times that make their lips so lose?

War of Kings was entrenched in the future nova/gotg issues and then Thanos Imperative was the endcap. Annihilation Conquest was the worst cosmic event out of the four, though i don't have strong positive feelings for War of Kings or Thanos Imperative.

Are you reading tie-in issues to Conquest? I'd abandon that stuff and just read the main event and progress.

the suggested reading list for conquest i got was:

annihilation conquest prologue
starlord 1-4
nova 1-4
annihilation conquest #6

i finished the prologue and then found myself just reading other stuff... when i do finally finish conquest, i'll probably just stick to nova/gotg because too many of these tie ins are of middling quality.

Well, the art's really good...

Also shit actually happens, which I was not expecting. I liked it quite a bit.

Red She Hulk, shoulda been the first issue. Really cool hook on that book.

Fantastic Four, wow, Bagley's art was as unoffensive as I've seen it since USM. Nice! The Yancy plot was probably the book's only misstep.

X-Men Legacy, I've been railing against digital inking for years, but the one guy who works great in it and you throw an inker over it?? WHYYYYYYY??????

What eltse what eltse...um...WAXM, I love how this book feels like an awesome TV show. Weird one off episodes. Love it.

And OH SHIT, THOR!!!!! Basically The Sword: The Series.

And lol, Rich Johnston doesn't know who Lord Deathstrike is.

Understatement of the goddamn year. Fear Itself: Secret Avengers is one of the worst comics of 2011. That he gets another go at it with what seems to be a super tacky high-concept is not the most reassuring prospect there ever was.

Easy solutions:

1. Don't read previews

or

2. Don't read comics

Is Supercrooks worth reading? For the record, I've read Kick-Ass, Wanted and even the infamous Nemesis, so there is no need to remind me of Millar's....eh, "thang" :D

Also, Avengers Assemble was wonderful. Caselli had some nice, near-Quitely moments on the art, making it a Must-Read for Q fans and a Must-Not-Read for Q haters (like all comics, really).

It was Superior quality but shorter so it didn't feel as bad.

Are avengers assemble one-shots like avenging spidey lately?

Reading those Solicits for Marvel 2013 february, I cant help but SHAKE in excitement.

Hickman seems to have taken the story found in FF/Fantastic Four and continued with it in Avengers. Thank God. Thank Creator. Thank Her.
Also, Imperial Guard? Yes, yes, yes! Can never get enough of the Shi'Ar. Never.

I almost forgot that Nova #12 was a cliffhanger that ended in Annihilation Conquest #6 iirc, i was pretty annoyed by that because i was reading and loving Nova but didn't like conquest at all when i went back and read it to catch up.

Tony Harris entitled to his opinion just as you and I am, no matter how straight up stupid his opinion is.

Disregard stupidity
Acquire comics.

So is Edidin and anyone who disagrees with him.

"Disregarding stupidity" would mean someone like Rich Johnston could tear down comic creators and their livelihoods and still be able to pass off not knowing who Lord Deathstrike is.

People need to be held accountable. It doesn't keep me from acquiring tons of comics, like I did yesterday, on New Comic Book Day, at my favorite Local Comic Book Store.

Rachel Edidin is entitled to their opinion. I am not challenging that in the slightest, just in case I somehow led you to believe I was.

Accountable for...? Tony Harris (for example) needs to be accountable for his personal (uneducated) opinion? Has there been a point in time that he used this personal opinion in prohibiting anyone (in this case) from cosplaying that I don't know about? If he were doing something to hinder anyone from enjoying anything in particular then perhaps I would agree, but in this case I think all that is necessary is "you're an asshole, Tony" and we done with it.

I simply do not believe his story in particular deserves the attention it has been getting.

Wolverine goes back in time and it turns out he was the original leader of Excalibur.

That's the only way we can get this Captain Britain book to sell.
