Okay lets face the facts, Hawkeye could take Cyclops.
Well, I remember him getting the attention of a phoenix'd cyclops.
Man I have just finished reading the first trade and this series is frickin' amazing!!!
Amazing art, amazing story, everything was great! As soon as I finished I just had to buy the first issue of the next arc. Now I have to wait the whole month to read the next issue! :-(
Goddamn someone need to turn this into a movie!

Anyone can take Cyclops, Storm whopped his ass...twice. Once was with no powers, just hand to hand.
Talking about like base, minimum knowledge before jumping into UXF. A bold man will jump right in feet first. I was just outlaying the concepts contained in the book to make him informed on what to know about before getting involved with it, not saying that New X-Men was skippable. I'm loving it.

Cyclops is all about taking a cheap first shot. He burns out real quick.

Luckily one shot is all he needs when it comes to chumps on the Avengers.
As with most super heroes (including Wolvie) Cyclops power limit is the imagination of the writer.
His optic blast can go from a really hard punch to the face to turning a huge sentinel to crisp.
Logan is even more ridicule, he can be taken down by a punch from a drunk biker at a bar or resist a punch from the Hulk. And I'm not even mentioning his healing factor.
Speaking of the Hulk I get sick every time I see a a gunshot break his skin, and he just heals as he gets angry.
When I started reading comics the Hulk was almost completely invulnerable, and if someone was strong or powerful enough to actually hurt him then he was in real trouble. Now he just heals.
On Jason Aaron run on the Stay Angry arc a dog guy shot him with a needle gun full of heroin, and the needles weren't even made of adamantium...they were probably just common junkie needles...SMH...
i was more concerned for the huge spoilers he may (very easily) accidentally read

Finally got around to reading X-Men Legacy #1. It's pretty bad and it looks like next issue is going to be about Legion too. It looks like this is just your usual bad X-book issue where they focus on someone who's not, you know, part of the X-Men. They'll get back to the X-Men. They're not going to make this book about Legion.
Batgirl #14 was pretty good. I think it's been pretty hit or miss as far as Bat-Family books go, but I think it's going to get better with Batgirl toughening up and becoming more violent and stuff.

Well you can't have the collective cyclops fanbase crying out in unison when faced with the true. Soooo instead just keep feeding their delusion that Slim can beat him. Wolverine fans are use to him being Marvel's punching bag so Cyclops beating him is just a /shrug for them. It's why I always refer back to Storm beating him in hand to hand. It's something they can't retcon yo.
It's easier this way.

It's VERY good up into #50/Rebirth, but it's very long, and more importantly you don't need to read it to enjoy Remender's Cap.

I just finished that too. I loved the first storyline-and it all worked out well in the end. Helped me become a huge fan of Iron Fist-I was never really into his character before.
