I have one around here somewhere... I can't remember what I did with him though. I got him through a Sony promo that was basically giving away all the LE content from the LBP2 LE packages.
 
Ok, tried to capture the blow glow of the Vita that's only seen in the dark and when the screen is turned off.

It actually doesn't emit any light at all, and is pretty subtle. Plus it has to be near pitch black in the room.
And of course, the notification light has to come on.

I never noticed until I was playing it in bed one night and put it to sleep.

i wonder if futureshop/bestbuy will be too. i will definitely buy the game tomorrow (and just return my preordered copy when i receive it in the mail).
 
When someone gets their PS3 copy of Sony Smash, I'd be curious to know how they did the cross-buy. If any of you qualify for posting that information, please do; Thanks.

i remember reading somewhere that it is somehow tied to your account, so you can't sell it. the only way i see that being possible (without having to enter a separate vita dl code) is if it is somehow tied to the online pass you enter in.

i really don't know though. i'm curious too.

You could buy the PS3 version retail, dl Vita and sell the PS3 retail, no?

If you buy and sell or buy and trade, it probably wouldn't affect their bottom line too badly.
I wonder if the game has an online pass besides the Vita DL code?

It'll be interesting to see how it's packaged.
 
Rented Silent Hill.

I feel like this would have been much better as a £10 PSN game, not a full title. Not sure how they justify this alongside things like Gravity Rush, Uncharted and Persona.

Sonic racing is coming on vita, but any news/rumours about F1 stars or LBP karting? Played the F1 demo on Xbox and it was pretty nice. Seemed clean and 60fps


And my play.com cheap PS+ codes came today. In four full sized DVD cases, completely over packaged. Still, now I'm set with PS+ until November 2014

No word on either of those yet. I'm just hoping Sonic & All-Stars is going to be good on Vita. Loved the first game.

I've only done the first three zones (Which isn't much at all), but I'm already finding it repetitive. I'm playing single player though. Maybe multi is better.

The one positive is that it has a strong soundtrack. Almost too good for the game, to be honest.
 
Sonic's supposedly a console port rather than a port of the 3DS version. Usually this would be good news until you realize that the console versions have frame rate issues ...

I can see a LBP Karting: Extra Lap on Vita next year. As for F1? Nope.
 
Our little one is napping upstairs so the living room TV is off limits. The older kids are using my PS3 to watch a Netflix movie on our second TV. The wife is balancing the checkbook on our computer. Where doesn't leave me? In my comfy chair playing NFSMW, AC3L and CODBOD (with good connectivity this afternoon). It's a Vitadad's life, yo!

Nice. Similar situation for me. Tv in the family room is being used by my wife. Second tv in the family room I keep for the ps3 has now become my daughters Elmo player. Thank you vita.
 
Went ahead and just bought a White Vita AC3 bundle on amazon today. If it drops to 200 on amazon Friday then fail is me, but most signs were pointing to it not happening.

I'm still tax free on amazon so I only paid like $25 more than waiting till Black Friday, so I get to avoid going out prior to midnight that night and I don't have to deal with the crowds, works for me.

Ordered a 32gb card for $80, VLR, Ragnarok Odyssey and P4G. I'll get Gravity, Uncharted and Jet Set on Tuesday with PS+

Overall I think I did pretty good =)

That was exactly my thought process when I ordered my White bundle last week.

Newegg Im tax free so i got it for 250 flat. If gamestop sells it for $200 on BF thats about $217 after tax. So Im out $33, however I get it about 2 weeks earlier, dont have to go to a crowded store, and have it shipped free to me. Also I dont have to support gamestop so thats a plus.

Youre gonna love that White Vita, it looks beautiful.

I'm a Vitadad too. If Ni no Kuni had remote play support I'd be a happy man.

But seriously, I'm not sure that I'll ever need a home console again. It's way easier to be a gamerdad with portables.
 
For people with a Wi-Fi only Vita (pretty much all of you) how often does Near update when you're in an area without Wi-Fi? On the 3G model I know it uses the GPS in the 3G chip to store your location and update it later. Just wondering how it worked on the Wi-Fi one without a GPS. Obviously that's assuming you guys take your Vitas outside the house.
 
So I just ordered a Vita from the states. Am I able to create a US PSN account and use it in New Zealand without hassles? I really want to buy Persona 4 Golden off the PSN store when it releases without having to import and worry about shipping costs. Do you have to use an American credit card?

I don't think it updates unless you find a wifi spot? I've never had it update where I was unless I manually updated and had a wifi-spot found.

You can save the updates and then update them later, but it has to find a router/wifi spot with a geo-location tag to connect to to update your status.

Also the new store sucks so damn bad. Redeemed a year for PSRS and basically can't get the King of Clooneys 13 without saying "YES DAMN IT GIVE ME IT DAMN IT" fifty million times because "an error occurred."

I can't imagine how it'll be on this platform when the store is updated with Firmware 2.0 and the run for the Golden Aybss.

Ah, that's a shame. The 3G model actually tracks updates every 30 minutes if it finds out that you've moved locations.
 
I can't wait for BF. I am going to snag one of the $200 AC bundles from one of the 20 GSs in a 10 mile radius. Should be able to get one.

Already picked up MGS HD Collection and PS+ year card in anticipation. I just wish I had it for Turkey Day, but I would rather save the $50.

Vitada too. My problem right now is that my daughter and son are starting to be too interested in my vita. She (6) plays Crash Bandicoot, LBP, Treasure Park and the paint app. He (2) loves watching peppa pig on youtube. Every day is more difficult to pick the vita unnoticed...i have to share it.

Then there's a clear advantage of going digital. You can share your games with your daughter :P

If only LBP had ad-hoc mp :(
 
Damn I want one of those white vitas :( Any other UK vitabros imported one - what's the best method?

You'll need a US credit card IIRC, or a US PSN card.

Amazon is going to have the PSVita bundle on sale on Black Friday FYI. Just the Assassin's Creed bundle though, and it appears that they won't just be price matching, but also throwing something else on top of it that will make you only want to get it from them.
