Legendary solo was a lot of fun.. I really warmed up to the Prometheans, but I still think they are lacking in variety and in actions. Story was solid but needed more, mission design was decent but often times predictable and boring.. its kinda like they went down a checklist but never fully realized any of the ideas. I liked it, but it needed some work... thats not to say some parts weren't really good.
God I wish the audio mixing wasn't so uneven in SP... the music is constantly drowned out by all the other noises... its really annoying. Also, I hate how abruptly the music ends sometimes.. The game has good music, but it was not implemented that well IMO.
Also, Global Ordinance is fundamentally broken. Please bring back timed and placed weapon spawns and maybe keep global ordinance but have less of a reliance on it.

Shotgun is like a close ranged cannon, scattershot can let off a ton of shots in a short time.. Boltshot can usually get one or two close and fast kills, but against those two it usually loses. Still, I <3 the Boltshot.

The people saying exactly what your first line is are probably people who aren't able to steamroll people anymore, and the matches are getting harder. Dat truskill.
When Reach was released it won best multiplayer over CoD.

I don't have a huge problem with Boltshot (yet). It seems to be pretty dependent on good connection though, and I also really suck at using it.
Well yes that, but I am also getting worse somehow. I gotta figure out what I am doing wrong and fix it. I was never steamrolling though.
TS seems to be doing well for my opponents, but I am getting matched some real idiots. One game had one guy go -11 and another go -18. Earlier I played with HiredN00bs and we had a teammate go -19. Its nuts.

Yeah, but when you click on a friend's profile, it just takes you an overview of their "spartan career". I don't see any clickable area that lets see their detailed stats (k/d, weapon stats, match history, etc, etc).

Guys, I figured out a hard counter to Camo! They're selling 42" HDTVs for $199 this Black Friday! That'll show 'em.

Same, haha. At the start my K/D was like 3.2 or something, but over the last few days as things have gotten really quite hard it has dropped to 1.96. (Not that I put K/D over everything else, just it's easy to see the difference).
Problem being is that it's like trueskill or whatever is in this game has put me too high. I'm really having a hard time breaking even now.. and being steamrolled all the time isn't fun. Though I will admit when I get frustrated I play worse, and in this game I get frustrated quite a bit.

Well I wouldn't know how detailed it gets because mine always says "0 Offline" and shows an empty list.
Perhaps "longtime fan" might be more apt.
Currently wandering Skyrim, enjoying not getting pinged from six directions at once.
I'm having a lot of fun carving Infection variants out of the base maps. I know 99.9% of the community is going to be forging Infection variants out of Impact/Erosion/Ravine so I'm just hitting the ground running this time. Infection unfortunately stagnated for eons in Reach, and I'd like to see that NOT happen this time.
Still disappointing that so far, all the disc maps don't even have any doors or scenery objects like CA provided for the Anniversary maps. You have basically 3 options for blocking off a path visually: a One Way Shield Door, a Crate, or a stacked Jersey Barrier. And it supports something like 8 of each :/

Also, playing KOTH has some what helped me with callouts for other modes, A-H zones on the map are quite handy in the heat of battle.
Two guys coming up E, 3 down at F etc.
Also, H4 has surprisingly given us ( you know who you are) more close games in one day then reach did in 2 years.
we played wayyyyyy to much invasion.
In that last year of Reach how many games %wise would you say we had quitzorz? 42% maybe. GAT DAMN

Its a very boring weapon - I would prefer it to be useless and never come into play than be something that people use to make the game less fun.

Exactly what I'm doing.
Except for the fact that the Halo 4 servers aren't working and don't know how to fix it so I just kept playing Skyrim.
Had the problem also for a while, I had to delete my profile and redownload it again, maybe it fixes your problem.
The movement is decent, however it's the aim assist that really kills it.

I dunno if it's my perception of things but playing some ODST it seems like that game has a crazy strafe, better than Reach or 4.

We need social playlists

Social playlists still use Trueskill and still have the same problem

Aren't they matched by an average of all the players' Trueskill though?
Versus being matched only by the highest.
That would make such a huge difference.
Yeah I've noticed quite a bit of aim assist. I need to do some local experimentation to see how much it really is.
It's an average in both types of playlists. The only difference in 3 was that Social lists allowed a slightly wider range of ranks to be matched against you.

I thought within 3 it was based off the rank of your highest player. Not the average of your party. IE if a 40 paired with two 20's they would match with an opposing team that had a high rank of 30 or above.
