FW 2.00:

Email app coming to Vita 2.00

Improved content manager, connect wirelessly to PC and upload to online storage

1080p playback on videos, closed captioning. New browser update, upgraded rendering engine. Sounds like HTML5 improved

Heh heh, looks like a solid set of changes.

Sony, work closer with Apple... while other Android folks shun them. It would be beneficial to you.

Gaikai use Virtualisation iirc to run multiple games on a server at the same time, but that would be much much harder to do with PS3 games than a normal PC one without being able to emulate PS3 hardware
"Virtualization" in context of clouds generally IS emulation. That said I'm not convinced that's what Gaikai did, games aren't exactly the type of software that distributes well - the stuff that CAN distribute well is also the most latency sensitive, and then there's stuff where there's no way around the need for having exclusive hw-resources.

Man, i'm so happy with my Vita. Dat OLed! :D
The whole handheld feels so good! And next week, all those free PS+ games...

Yeah. I'm gonna enjoy this! :D

I heard the load times in wipe out are very long, is this true?

The original content yes, dlc nope.

I believe there was an update that came out not too long after 2048's release that improved load times a little. I picked it up just before that update hit so I can't really remember how bad they were in comparison. The way I play the load times aren't that big of a deal anyway. If after a race you go back and race the same track, the load is very minimal. So I only take the long load hit once or twice every gaming session.

It's still a great game. One of the many on Vita now.

Impressive. Especially since it is one sub for both systems.

Never thought I would bite on PS+ but this may do me in.

Especially since the only two games I own on that list are Uncharted and LBP2.

copped a COD bundle today just cause of this PS+ hotness. loving it so far. can't wait to try out all the games next week. anyone know where I could get a decent deal on a 32gb card?

Am I the only one who is continually apathetic to PS+? Every game they offer I either don't care about, don't like, or already own. Everybody keeps saying what a great value it is, but it's literally 0 for me. =\

It's certainly not for everyone. If you usually buy on launch it's not a good offer. Still, you can save a lot with the discounts.

I think I'll resub.

Hong Kong Lineup Announced:
(Also applies to Singapore , Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia)

PS Vita:
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Unit 13

PlayStation Classics:
King of Fighters 98
Tekken 2

Asia Exclusive:
Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken

Pricing:

30 days - HKD38 / USD 4.90
365 days - HKD233 / USD 30

Not as strong as the western ones, but I'm pretty certain that's better than what Japan's getting, lol.

$30 USD for a whole year? Goddamn, that's a nice price.

I think it's only cheaper for Hong Kong. The Singapore PS+ charges S$6.99 per month ,which works out to be about US$5.60 or so. Asian Vita is also about US$75 dollars more expensive than the US set. It's S$399(US$325) for the wifi set here.

But I have to say that the games are usually slightly cheaper.

Looking forward to Vita PS+ :)
