My brother sent me a 30-day Plus code he saw someone post on Reddit. I was happy that it actually worked and wasn't taken yet.

I can't wait for my free copy of Gravity Rush. I'll probably check out Wipeout too.

Yes, you can't play the free games when your sub expires. You keep the games you bought with PS+ discounts though.

But you could probably just sub for a month and play through several games right? That seems like a pretty cheap way to play through some good games.

Sure, if you can play them all in a single month. Are there one month subscriptions anyway, though? I was under the impression that aside from promo codes, the shortest one you can buy is 3 months.

Well 1 month codes are rare, unless you buy a PS3 console bundle or get lucky with a website that gives them away >.>;
Thank You again IGN, subbed till 2017, ROFL!

You can buy a semi-sub for 3 months for roughly $17.99

So for $6 a month you get a plethora of titles to go through Vita + PS3 + Discounts!

Yeah looks like the minimum is 3 but that's still a good deal. Do new Vitas come with a trial or anything?

I really hope they keep pushing this PS "ecosystem". IMHO so far they are the more consumer friendly of the big three and this really shows.
Yeah, between MS' horrid scammy fake-money system and Nintendo's prehistoric hardware/account lockdown and region locking, Sony have it in the bag as the most consumer friendly. Easily. They do some stupid obnoxious stuff too, like the memory card pricing, but PS+ is really great and being able to download content to multiple systems is pretty cool, too.

I don't have a vita yet will I be able to dl the ps + games onto my ps3 download list in the meantime?
Or do you think they will have to be downloaded via vita psn?

I was thinking if they really wanted to fucking massacre the competition, the could add in Music & Video Unlimited as a trial feature

Can you imagine PS4 with PS+ @_@

Have access to Video, Music, Games, etc.

I'm amazed they have not already. One free movie rental a month or something would make me actually load the video store. Is it still there?

Yeah, its all combined now. And that is a great idea, one that will probably evolve into. Better yet, combine crackle. But then PS+ would have to be an app as well. I wonder if they can expand on the store to have a section like that with the free movies and all.

That would make too much sense for such a fragmented company :P

Does anyone really uses music unlimited with spotify and the such?

No kidding. I'd definitely be more inclined to use the video store if they offered a free rental or movie monthly.

I'm inclined to think that a free movie wouldn't be so far-fetched in the future if they're able to offer full games for free.

PSN+ is really becoming a 'system seller' feature. I only wish i had more time to play because i would subscribe. Plus including 'the playstation ecosystem' (that always people make fun of in NPD threads) at the same price is just awesome.

I am a plus member thanks to that free month promo for EU PSN users, playing Crysis 2 and LBP 2 for free, and now Mutant Blobs and Gravity Daze too!

Oh damn I've never really looked at PS+ hard before.

I have a couple questions about it.

Once games leave the 'instant game collection' do existing PS+ users still have access to that title?
And do you need to download or otherwise press a button on the store for all the weekly/monthly content to have access to it on your account after it rotates out? Or say I get PS+ now and a Vita in a year, I'd still have access (in my account history I guess) to anything that was ever free on PS+ for it?

You need to be a member when it is "free". If you are, adding it to your download makes it accessible whenever you are a member.

So for example, I don't own a vita but I am on PS+. I'll be grabbing all the games now for the if/when.

Yes.

If you grabbed the game from PS+ you'll be able to use it as long as you are a subscriber. User who were PS+ from day 1 have TONS of games by now.
