Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

The following are THE most important upgrades Sony needs to implement.
I just HATE that I see the "please wait" and "sign in" pop ups. I don't care if they need to do that, just do it in the background and don't notify the user.
Agree with this. They already have a spinning network icon in the top bar, just use that and do the connection stuff in the background.

no, I think the games still come on normal update day, just the firmware is coming first.
Well Uncharted and Wipeout are already on the service. 2.0 introduces ps+, so I should be able to grab those for free,no?

I'd go for no (always the safe option). PS+ content would effectively be a new product, just like price cuts align with psn updates.

keep your fingers crossed, but don't expect it until later in the week.

I'll have to try it out again later, but thanks for making this known to me.
Hit square until you get games going into the "unknown" pre-made folder.

Then just go to any installed game in there, hit triangle, and edit the folder name.
That's how you get custom folder names on ps3.

In the event that the game has to wait for the connection to be made (and remember it takes several seconds to connect, and when in game you don't have that bar up) it makes more sense for a visual reminder of what you're waiting for. Not a problem if it can perform the action in the background.

Best solution of course would be to just be connected at all times. Hoping that's a stealth option in 2.0.

Ah. Sadly, this makes too much sense.

No.

Firmware update tonight, PS+ goes live on usual update day
Yeah. Thanks. Maybe 2.0 has some other nice surprises at least (other than the browser).

The update comes out today, silly!
Hopefully it can be out by the time I get home from work, but I guess when people say "today" they mean very late today for people in the UK. Still, looking forward to it.

Usually up between 3 and 4AM in the UK.
Well he hasnt said whether he has a UK or US account :p I am German, but my US update arrives indeed very late. Usually aftr midnight.

It arrives worldwide at the same time...
God damnit. So much fail today. I hand in my Vita thread posting privileges until I am properly awake and informed.

So how do I delete save games? My mate has finished like half of WipEout, and I now want to delete the save, so I can start it. How do I do this? Please don't tell me you can't....

It's on a card by the way.

True, I was hoping there would be a way for devs to specify doing the connection while playing an opening video or displaying a loading screen, so it appears to be seamless apart from the icon.

Notice though that wipeout isn't in the 20% off sale - i'd take that as a massive hint that it's probably going to be free in EU very soon.

I was just saying that even if it is absolutely amazing, we've still got the short end of the stick.
No doubt, but given how great the PS3 + has been here I'm willing to let it slide. I think the Vita needs more of a leg up in the US anyway (it needs it everywhere, but probably there more than most).

It'll be interesting to see how it progresses from here anyway, they don't have a huge back catalogue to delve into.

Agreed, but even then, we're STILL getting done over.

Let's say next month we get Wipeout and JSR, that means it will have taken two months to get what the US got in one! :(

You know, you're not going to be popular if you voice this opinion in the + thread. :p

We wont get JSR for free a month after release but yeah i see what you mean.

But we get less PS3 games a month than US do, but EU's is much better. Hopefully it will be the same for Vita.

So pumped for this firmware update. It's great that they both improved the browser and made it usable at any time. I was messing around with the Wii U browser and it's SO much better than the Vita's, but supposedly this new update is going to make it very comparable.

Debating now whether to keep my boxed copy of Gravity Rush. Guess that'll depend on how much space I have left on my memory card. Super excited to be getting Uncharted and Wipeout...I nearly bought the latter at retail right before all this was announced.

That's good, I have the game from LoveFilm but cannot play online. I was going to buy it but if we get it via PS+ like the US, all the better. Here's hoping.

Ladies and gentleman. It seems like we still got our daily "Shit on Vita thread". The masses somehow made it possible to transform the ME3 Wii U, NG3:RE, Batman, Epic Mickey 2, WO3, BLOPS2 have technical issues on Wii U thread into a Vita argument as well.

Ah well, the day had a good run.

nah.Not really it was just some posters who bring Vita ( a weaker handheld with a mobile GPU) to defend WiiU poor ports (crazy I know) and Nintendo hardware decisions and the other posters in that thread actually said Vita should not be in that discussion in first place.

so that not out daily Vita thread, the real Vita thread should be about poor sales and why Vita owners should stop enjoying their games and think about sales and MH that they don't have.

Yeah, glad some posters try to get that point across.
