Marc Silvestri wasn't exactly the most consistent artist on Uncanny X-men. There's plenty of fill-ins on that run.

And when he DID do bi-weekly issues, his artwork suffered. Seriously, go look at UXM #250 if you wanna see bi-weekly Silvestri.

I ended up getting Calvin and Hobbes "Yukon Ho!" paperback for my cousin and i'm worried that the Yukon Ho song will make him want to run away from home and swear.

O_______O.

Picked up the first issue of Storm Dogs today, I like it! Is it ongoing? I thought I read on here that it's supposed to be four issues.

In other David Hine news, my friend gave me the second Bulletproof Coffin trade. Pretty stoked to read it, fucking love the first one.

It's going to be in installments if it does well enough.

No, I'm pretty sure John McCrea drew all of Hitman!

Yes! Hitman is indeed a gem of a series that not enough people have read. Preacher is my favorite comic series of all time, and Hitman was like getting a spiritual sibling series that also happened to be set in the DCU. I bought the entire series on Comixology last year - now it is mine forever digitally.

You, sir, are a gentleman of fine taste.

Did not enjoy All New X-Men, and wish to publicly thank Bendis for letting me finally kick my X-Men habit. I'll end my collection with Gillen's run, wipe a nostalgic tear, and move on.

I think the first arc is six issues.

First issue was free and i finished reading it today, it's fun. I am in between being sold on buying more unless people come here and say how great the rest is.
I'll do the same. The market is just tough on a publisher like ONI, DB Cooper was cut short and it looks like Bad Medicine is dead. Only two real seri they have are The Sixt Gun and Wasteland. Has DCBSERVICE charged you for next month yet?

Mark Bagley is too consistent. Everyone looks the same.

Co-sign, if you don't have UXF you're just crazy.

With that said, when this run of UXF is over, I don't plan on reading that travesty that is replacing it...either of them.

Uncanny X-Force with Mohawk Storm, Psylocke and Spiral and
Bishop as the villain
might just be the best book ever. I have high hopes for it. Not so much for Cable & X-Force though.

Something that's never been explained and is always bothering me. The kids of Avengers Academy, it's noted that Finesse, Hazmat, Electric Boy who's name I can never remember, and Mettle aren't mutants (despite acquiring their powers during puberty). They aren't InHumans either, so...how did they develop powers?

Still does nothing for me, especially with Storm on the team. The same Storm who was very pissed at Wolverine and disappointed at Betty for being on this team.

osborn experimented on them i think.

I don't think it's X-Force as in "hit squad let's kill people", but as in "weren't 90s über violence where nothing really bad happened super fun?!"

And for the Avengers Academy kids. I believe Norman Osborn experimented on them.

Marvel is so stupid with their origins. They call for M-Day because "mutant origins are lazy," then we get dozens of kids with powers showing up but they aren't mutants... they just suddenly developed powers during puberty. See that's not lazy!

Well, she was the leader of the first X-Force (aka the badass 80s X-men) and she has no hesitation against killing. I have a feeling it will draw from that instead of the torture porn shit from Kyle and Yost that she was against.

The experiments happened after they developed their powers. He pushed them to the levels they're at now.

Yea when things aren't explained I get annoyed.

True, I'm still hesitant.

Well better make it soon cause a few of them won't be around past Avengers Arena.

What are the odds Avengers Arena ends with the biggest retcon in the history of history? I'm calling it now, in the final issue, when there's only 1 left standing, everyone gets brought back to life and sent home.

Hazmat's origin was basically a point-by-point retelling of Rogue's, but she isn't a mutant? Lol.

Heh I just realized that lulz.

You'd have some seriously mentally fucked up kids as a result lol.

Cheapgraphicnovels.com is going to have a Black Friday sale. :O

I might have to try and snag some Omnibuseseses.

Oh awesome thanks for the heads up. I've ordered some things from them through Amazon and they are really good people, ship fast and nicely packaged to.

Edit: I'm wondering though if they mean 50% off the MSRP or 50% of their current price. The former would put some of those i'm looking at for $28 which would be a ridiculous price and the latter would be just a $5 savings of their current price.

I would say people will grab their virtual pitchfork and burn the comic books from their hard drives, but they will do that regardless, so eh, sure, better be a fake than to make a poor writer come up with a resurrection story before he can properly use X-23

Honestly, why didn't they just give X-23 her own series instead of putting her in this shit? Seems like she's popular enough. She really needed to sell AA?

Who else could play Katness? AA is definitely aiming for a certain demographic for this series, they want these readers and those who follow Laura. Kate Bishop would have been too obvious.

Avengers Assemble is now the best comic running.

Psychotic extremist Scott Summers is also the only good thing to happen to X-Men since the 90s.

Chris Cornell presents: The Uncanny Wolverine and Soundgarden : The Rusty Cage Saga Act I

I would read that SO HARD.

"Looks like you've got your GOOD EYE CLOSED, CABLE!!"

"*choke* Glob Herman is dead!!"
"No...he's alive...ALIVE IN THE SUPERUNKNOWN!!"

"Wolverine, don't you understand? We've gone back in time! That's TY COBB!!!!!!"

It's barely been a week since Hawkeye #7 was solicited, and now Marvel announces they're pushing that back to make a Hurricane Sandy comic. How the fuck does that happen? Not the comic, I mean, Hawkguy's all about New York so I can totally get how and why you'd do such a thing, but how do you fuck that bit of communication up?
