I don't think it's a deal of the day since they repeated several times it will be a gold box deal at 3 PM eastern. It's going to last for a long time or until their supposedly large supply runs out.

Not saying hes lying, everyone makes mistake. Saying based on experience with all the past BF's at Amazon and how their normal Gold Box deal of the days work everyday that sounds really screwy. Take it for what you will, just trying to give you all a heads up.

That would still be considered a lightning deal and if they do at 3pm (well they've been doing them at 3:10 here) that makes sense. From the sounds of what was posted though he put it as the all day gold box deal which doesn't jive. I have my Vita so whatever no worries here just giving some advice that time sounds screwy and if you really REALLY want it you might want to check at 3AM when the deals normally update at Amazon. For what its worth being a console I think this will be a lightning deal at 3pm from what they are saying.
 
The select Gold Box deals throughout the day are Lightning deals as well.

The upcoming 7pm PST laptop is on both pages.

The Coby TV was the same price on both pages.
 
Gotta grab it. I have a black Vita and skipped the bundle when it released, but for this price its a no brainer. I can sell my Black vita on craigslist and almost pay off the entire thing.
 
Damn, why couldn't it be a black Vita? Wondering if it's worth the $20 difference or so to get the Declassified bundle instead.
 
Sounds like they have a ton of them to sell. I'm still not going to be late. It's an outstanding deal. I wonder how much I can sell the fighting game code for.
 
Pondering this. Not long ago I just purchased a TV, pre-ordered Wii U with a few games, and the NeoGeoX Gold LE. Now with Christmas nearing, I'll have my eyes set on Steam deals. What to do..
 
If this was in Canada I think I'd get it ASAP. Yes a price drop is probably imminent but man it probably still won't be as good a deal as this.
 
I'll bite. Since Uncharted is free for PSN+ subscribers, that saves me some money right there. I just wish the had Kingdom Hears on the PSN store, but oh well.

Also, is it true I can play 'Collection' games on Vita as well as PS3? Or only certain ones?

I'm saying that isn't a safe assumption to make. Like I said before, the latest PS3 lightening deal was not able to be shipped overseas even though regular PS3's can be. Sure, that block was built into the front end of that deal as it was made specifically for Black Friday, but they could just as easily stop you at the checkout for this upcoming one when it goes up. By the time you find out for sure it may be too late, why take the chance either way?

I'm not interested in buying one right now, but if that deal was available in my country I'd buy it without a second thought. It's a fantastic deal.

I don't think so. The list is pretty extensive, though. The main ones that I want that I can't play on the Vita are Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Outside of that, most of my favorite PSP titles are available to either download onto the Vita itself, or download onto the PS3, and transfer it to the Vita.

I think there was a list somewhere on GAF that had the compatibility, but I have no idea.

It's worth trying out. It containing PS+ might actually be a problem since Sony doesn't let you buy those with a non-US address

Those would have to be digital in the first place to play on the Vita. :V

Can always set up a US PSN account! I'm in Brisbane but my Vita is using a US account - even with the ~$5 premium buying points cards from PC GameSupply/ Maximus Cards etc (do Best Buy still do the cards?) they still come in significantly cheaper than in the stores or PSN here. Sometimes half the price. I'm also using PS+ on the account - bought the prepaid card from PC Game Supply, just like the others. So no problems there.

I had the same thought, but then I saw that Josh confirmed noon again in a later post. He even specifically says that it will not be available at midnight.

It will not be available at midnight as I previously understood. Getting it through the gold box page is the way to go. It might go live on the product page a little earlier just to get all our ducks in a row, but don't worry about it selling out before the Gold Box even goes live (at noon PST).

Yeah. I wish Square would get off their asses and allow them to be put up on the store. I fricking loved what I got to play of Crisis Core on UMD. Same with KH: BBS.
 
Crap....I wish all of these sales were AFTER the holidays. I think there's a chance my bro MIGHT be buying me a vita for Christmas (I bought him an xbox several years ago and amortized it over future birthdays/christmases). But this is such a great deal... Well, I suppose it would be simple enough to sell it for the same price. Or I can hope I'm not lucky and fast enough with my fingers tomorrow :P
