This Vita bundle is insane... (Vita, mem card, AssCreed $179.99 WOW)

SCEA is pretty bad with keeping up good content on the PS3. SCEE has good content for the service so it has yet to be been seen if SCEA keeps it up after the first big push on Vita.

it's a matter of opinion personally I prefer SCEA over SCEE for ps+ content as I prefer interesting PSN games over old retail titles that I could pick up for $5 or had played ages ago. That being said I am happy those rare times when an actually pricey ($25+ for used copies) game shows up on ps+ like the vita games and king of fighters(and I don't even like fighters but it was something I at least wouldn't have bought in the last year because it was $10 or less), but stuff like RDR or borderlands or resident evil 5 are pretty much on par with NFL blitz for my excitement of getting them through PS+

In general though I have found both SCEE and SCEA's plus offerings well worth the price of admission, so don't get me wrong I am not saying SCEE's offerings are bad, just that for me they weren't as valuable as SCEA's offerings.

Can anyone with a physical copy of Assassin's Creed III Liberation get a high quality scan of the cover art (front and back) and post it to the custom cover art thread so we can print/make our own? Google Images gets no results (only front).

You could always try going to gamestop and asking if you can have a case to a used one if there is one. Most gamestops I have been to if you ask nicely they will let you take the cases.

Seriously?
Never even thought to ask but to pull that off I think you would at least need to be a regular.
Makes sense though since they could give 2 shits about the cases.

I tend to ask at places I go to more, but I have gotten a case or two for rare psp/ps2 games at gamestops that it was my first time being there. A lot of the employees just don't care lol. It's likely because to them case/no case it sells for the same amount so it doesn't really matter.

Alright so I took the plunge and got one. I'm getting Persona 4 Golden but what are some other games worth getting?

personally I am a big fan of Disgaea 3 but it's only for people who like SRPGs (games like final fantasy tactics) and even then it's hit or miss (the game isn't as annoying as the trailer is, but it has it's moments that it's that annoying), if it's a hit though it offers a ton of value for the dollar amount. It would likely take over 500 hours to see everything the game has to offer.

Virtue's last reward is worth taking a look at if you don't own it on the 3ds. Gravity rush is included with plus but it looks fun. Also Mortal Kombat vita might not be a bad buy as it's cheap and offers an exclusive challenge tower.

I should not I don't quite own my vita yet so I haven't played those... well disgaea 3 I played on the ps3 with out the extra features lol.

Well a lot of the big games you should get are included with the 3 month Playstation Plus subscription. Wipeout, Uncharted, Gravity Rush, etc. But other than those, Hot Shots Golf, lumines, Rayman Origins, and I hear Most Wanted on Vita is pretty cool.

I've tried to get into SRPGs before but they're just not for me.

Yeah I forgot about Gravity Rush. It always looked like it would be a great game. I'll have to get it.

understandable lol I added a few more to my last post. Beyond that though if you don't own a psp there is a rich library of JRPGs and other random oddball games that are over looked by to many gamers.

I bet Most Wanted becomes a plus game though. Hasn't EA stuff been on there before?

both of those have been on US.

I don't believe dead space 2 has been on the US plus (it's not on my game list and I am pretty anal about checking the psn every week, plus I don't recall debating if I wanted to bother downloading a game I was 99.9% sure I would hate), we got a need for speed game though (I think it was that... some racing game)

I have actually considered getting Mortal Kombat. I played it on my brothers vita and it seemed to run well.

I completely forgot that I could download PSP games on this thing. There are quite a few that I've always wanted to play so I'll definitely be getting some.

This was enough of a great deal to make me forget common sense and skepticism about the platform, and to just dive right in. I really think the more Sony pushes crossplay, and integrates the vita into the PS3 and the upcoming PS4, the better chance the Vita has of surviving and thriving.

I convinced my wife that this was a great deal, and she should buy it for me and save it for my Christmas present, so I won't be playing it till then...

Although I might have to open it and login to plus so I can download a free game or two, no guarantee the current free ones will still be there come December 25...What are the chances of them removing them for other games?

I am not sure if all of these are actually on the PSN (I don't buy digital games if there is a physical release for consoles) but some of the better niche psp games are the following
Half Minute Hero (also on 360 and PC with the 360 version missing some modes but having new ones and PC having everything)
Corpse Party if you don't like to read then it's likely not a good choice lol.
the YS series in general (one of them is also on PC)
and legend of heroes TitS (Trails in the sky)

there are some srpg ones as well but you already said you don't like those so I didn't include them. there are plenty of other solid games those are just the ones that come to my mind when I think solid game on the psp that is overlooked by your average gamer.

side note, Cladun is ok as well :P

This is half the reason I could care less about the Vita is dead threads. I had a psp but missed a TON of games. Im sure they'll be on sale frequently on psn and ill enjoy great games for a long time coming.

The psp library in general was very overlooked by gamers, if you like niche japanese games at all there is a lot to love on the psp.

also on a random side note the only playstation mini that I recommend to people is a space shooter for $2 there are some others that I enjoyed well enough but it's the only mini I have beaten and went back and played again lol.

I knew coprse party was as that one was psn only, but I am glad to see half minute hero was, seeing yggdra union reminded me that I got a free digital copy of it with knights in the nightmare... hmmm to bother putting it on my vita or just play it on the psp... likely just the psp until I get a bigger memory card during black friday 2013
I bought the Vita for Vita games, but that's just me :#
As did I, the reason I bought a vita was because there was a number of vita games that interested me (granted 1 is a ps3 port and another a ps2 port but still) but for those who haven't experienced the psp library or are looking for other things to do with the vita it's not a bad outlet... just like there are a ton of ps1 classics worth playing on the psn... just none of them i wanted to play on the vita work on the vita lol.

I loved the PSP games I played. I wish there was more games for the vita like the ratchet and jak spin offs and patapon. Great games and I doubt they took much resources.

That shooter looks great I just suck at them :-( so they're never worth it. I need puzzle or platformers

the shooter has an easy mode... as for platformers I can't believe I forgot to mention prinny lol
be warned prinny is hard, you get 1k lives at the start for a reason. also you can't move in mid air which annoyed some people (when you jump you will land at a trajectory decided at the time of your jump)

Hammerin hero might be of interest

I got the AC bundle at GameStop this morning, and for all the people cancelling their order, you are crazy! I was a 3DS guy until this morning when I signed up for PS+, downloaded Uncharted and was amazed! I love the build of the Vita and the screen; this really feels like the next step in portable gaming, when the 3DS seemed like a minor upgrade.

Don't get me wrong I still like my 3DS, but I really really hope the Vita can gain some followers so that it will continue to be supported. The Vita really is something special and it's disappointing to see the sales that it is getting right now.

And whats up with some of the people in here that actually seem to want the Vita to fail. Playstation+ should be owned by everyone, this is something gamers have been wanting and here some people want Sony to fail? Not sure if I understand.

Mk vita really is great. I regret getting rid of my physical copy once i went digital. I hope it goes up on sale for plus members or sonething soon and i can pick it up again. I got sfxt and its just not as fun as mk was

MK on the Vita is how ports need to be made. Its fantastic and has everything from the console versions, same story mode, all the unlockables etc, and even has an entirely new challenge tower (as well as the old one) for the touch screen. Its fantastic and cheap in price.

I know what you mean. I love my 3DS but the Vita is on another level technically. Welcome to the party.

Hammerin' Hero was delisted from PSN because IREM is suicidal :(

ah did not know that, that's a shame.

if amazon ever matched the $10 gamestop sales I would own it... the cheap ass gamer in me won't bite at the $15 knowing it will be $10 at some point ><:

I was about to break down and get the bundle even though I have the black from launch. I love white electronics.

I guess I'm too late. Maybe this is a good thing.

The white one is really sexy, honestly. Sony should just focus on those rather than black bcause it looks so much better. White Fat PS3 is pretty epic.

Black > White when it comes to electronics. The only good thing a white device does is make the screen look like it has deeper black levels on the screen.

Make sure you guys get Playstation all stars. especially if you have a ps3 too. looks amazing on the vita. 60fps + native res.
probably my favourite vita game right now.

EDIT: lol. included in the bundle- all the better :D

couldnt agree more.

ive owned 3 3DS systems (aqua, traded towads purple, traded towards a blue 3DSXL), yet, lately im more drawn to the Vita. I owned a black since launch, but recently pickedhp the ACL bundle in Oct. The white Vita is sexy, ACL is a great game and anyone who snagged a bundle, will easily find a lot to love about the Vita. its hard not to, as its elegant and pure class. the games are also phenomenal, considering its still within its first year.
