This Vita bundle is insane... (Vita, mem card, AssCreed $179.99 WOW)

I think the ideal bundle would be an 8GB card with a full year of PS+ and no extra games. for $199. That's only a $50 cut in the actual price, with two things that don't really cost Sony anything, but I think would completely turn around a lot of people's value perception of the Vita, particularly parents buying for their kids.

2 brand new quality games is more useful than psn+, since psn+ has more margin for Sony.

I used the $20 difference to buy a case & screen protector. Others can use that toward a game or 3 more months of psn+.

My black one (german deal) shipped yesterday, not concerned about future, should the flow of games stop, I will just sell it.
 
The Assassin's Creed III $10 discount is applied to your account. If you add the game to your cart, you will see it take -$10 off. Its utterly useless now though because the game went up to $49.99. Who wants to buy the game for $5 more than on Black Friday? Amazon better repeat the $35 deal for Cyber Monday. Did anyone catch when Amazon said it will expire? If it doesn't, I can just hold out a couple/few months until the price drops to $30.

Even people here have to admit the release schedule is a bit of a wasteland.

Me, I just won't get even $180 of value from it, but I'm pretty thrifty, and GAF tends to be the opposite. I fit in better on CAG in that regard. My rule of thumb is any console over $100 needs to have at least 5 games I "must play" that I can't play on something I already own.

I absolutely want one for Golden though.

I should've jumped on this deal. Will be keeping my eyes open for a similar one as xmas approaches (family isn't exchanging gifts, so we are all buying ourselves a present instead).

I currently own a 3DS which is a great system, but the Vita library so far is more appealing to my tastes.

For the future, what are the chances of games like a FFX HD remake? is this confirmed at all? Are similar games planned that we know of?
 
I wish I had pulled the trigger on that deal. Even if I changed my mind I could've returned it. Oh well. That white vita is beautiful. When I get my Vita it'll def be that model.

FFX HD has been announced for Vita. It's just in LOL Square Enix development. Hopefully we'll see a release in late 2013. As for other HD re-releases on Vita, there's the Oddworld games, and of course Metal Gear Solid 2, and 3. ZoE HD was announced for Vita but has gone missing, and likely no longer exists as the game has technical issues running on stronger hardware. : /

So after getting my PSABR code this morning... I installed it and have been playing it in my Vita. So far this game has justified this system purchase. Assassins Creed is cool and all but this game looks amazing and plays well. It's also pretty fun. Played through the story and just had my first online match. Zero lag and I won against people who were way higher in level/rank :D.

It's awesome. None of you will regret it. And I'm one of the biggest Vita skeptics until this deal appeared.
 
I think next year most psn games will be ps3/Vita

So im pretty sure we will see good amount of games between the retail releases

? Just need to know how much they have in stock for the deal and we will know how many people brought the console. Remember gaf is a hardcore gamer forum where a lot of gamer wanted to get a vita when there is a good or decent deal. Now for causal gamer or parents/people buying for others etc, we are not sure.I do not think that there are many outside of hardcore gamers but maybe i am wrong.

I sure hope so, the only reason I ever wanted a PS3 was for the remakes and PSN exclusives. If I can get both of those on the pretty little Vita I will be a happy gamer.
 
I got my All Stars and PS+ codes this morning, but no AC3 $10 code yet.

I love that the PS+ codes are three 30 day codes. That way when there's a free game on PSN+ that I really want to play I can sign up for 30 days, play the shit out of it, and then let it expire.
 
Got my 199 dollar inFamous/Uncharted PS3 this morning. Loading it up with PSN+ games right now. Also got my PSN+ and PSAS codes. If anyone wants PSAS in exchange for a 25 dollar credit at Amazon, let me know and I'll swap.
