I haven't either. The vita version of 4 will be my first whenever I get to it.

I decided to try the PSASBR demo on PSN, but for some reason it's stuck in the "You are running the trial version." screen. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known issue?
It's just some activation thing, guessing it's first to do it and you don't even need to redeem the online pass to do it just be logged into the account you wanna put it on
It shouldn't be on PSN anymore. It was an online beta that is now over.

Question about Playstation Plus: I know that the free games aren't playable when the subscription runs out, but does that also mean you lose them? Like, if I lapsed for a month and then came back and started paying again, would the games I used to have still be there?

I didn't even know P3:FES was on the store, but it is only listed as a PS3 game. My first Persona game was P3P, and I really enjoyed it, but I'd like to play FES, just not on the PS3. I assume it isn't playable on the vita?

Yes. They're tied to your account forever. You just can't play them if your sub has run out (until you resub and redownload them).
Not unless someone waves a magic wand and enables PS2 classics on Vita.
I remember someone asking the same question on us psn blog and as far as I recall the answer was that after re-subscribing the service, everything should be back as before, and you will not loose anything.

On ps3 there is an avatar, and a limited palette of colours.
On Vita there is the same avatar and a background for your profile rather nice and varied, plus the colour of your background will determine the colour in your ps3 too, with much more colours.

So when I'm on my PS3, I'll still have the PSP avatar, just with less display features?

No, that was a different thing. Right now (at least on European PSN stores) you have the option to download a demo of buy the full game.

Depends on the prices. They have, IMO, the best case for the Vita in there and two of the best games in UMvC3 and MK.
So yeah, the selection isn't great, but at least they're not pitching deals on Reality Fighters and the like.

Pretty much, people forgot what the original Persona 3 used to play like. Dying because of a dumbfuck AI =/= good.
Also, the 'exploration' parts of P3 and P3 FES were awful about 15 hours in. I'd much rather just click a little icon, because I could not care less about the mall interior now.
It depends on whether they see an increase in sales from the increase in value of the system without the decrease in price.
I personally bought my PS Vita only a few days ago, and I only got it because of the addition of Vita games to PS+ and the cross-buy functionality of games I was already planning on getting (Sly Cooper, PS all Stars.)
That and the bundle I got being £200 for the system and AC Liberations made the value proposition fantastic compared to the competition. (3DS at £169.99 with one game, or PS Vita for £199.99 with 7+ higher quality games?)
Then again, it's possible that good value isn't enough or isn't well enough advertised, and that a low price point is indeed the way to go for the unsavvy gamer.
I'm sure they know that it would benefit from a price cut. The thing is, if they cut the price they make a loss. And the way Sony is at the moment, they might not be willing to do that.

That's exactly it, they aren't willing to slash prices... there was a statement along the lines of "we're looking into ways so we can cut prices in 2013.".
At least they gave everyone a heads up. No surprise price cuts like the 3DS to piss off the early adopters.

Hmm. How about them making every bundle include 3 months of plus? Would make for great value proposition, increase positivity for the system and they'd gain more revenue from people who stay subbed after those three months
sony will do a price cut sometime next year, but I think I actually like them doing it this way... it's kind of like applying steam sales to consoles lol
they got a number of people on the fence to impulse buy, meanwhile if it was a general price cut they might have waited because they knew they would have more time than 2-3 days...
now they can wait until they get a few bigger releases together and release those at the same time as a price cut and try to get the thing going with momentum.

Got my codes this morning. Weird that they gave me 3 different 1 month codes for PS+. I like this though as I can use it whenever I want. Play through all the available games now the let it auto cancel. If they have crappy games the next month then skip it until they have something I want to play again. I will make these PS+ codes last double the time.

Set AI to All Out Assault/Wait mode when weaknesses aren't found->No dumbfuck AI.
I beat FES just fine with those two commands and making pixie/healing personae for myself in a pinch, which is what you should be doing in the first place.
People blaming the AI for them not being healed only have themselves to blame since you can ALWAYS switch to a healing Persona to heal. ALWAYS.
