This Vita bundle is insane... (Vita, mem card, AssCreed $179.99 WOW)

Figured this would be a good question for the top of the page:

So for the new Vita owners, has your opinion on the console changed since you have gotten your hands on it?

That sounds silly. It should tell you one is there when you boot the game.

Edit. I had to hunt around for the patch but found it. That is really dumb how they have that set up.

It's not that hard. You won't get a prompt but if you just refresh the LiveArea for a specific game and in 2 seconds you'll find out if there is a new update or not.

Some games do

This game doesn't oddly and a lot people miss this.

Oh goody. Inconsistencies with basic stuff depending on each game.

Comparing the OS, account system, and online store, it's a damn shame that the Vita is losing to the 3DS. It's bloody night and day in quality.

Stop being an old jaded gamer. How are you feeling about the framerate in the game, btw?

Oh yeah, the difference is astronomical really. And your earlier comment about the dpad, I could not agree more. It's easily the best in recent gaming hardware history.

I just opened my Vita, and wow. The system looks gorgeous and feels solid. I'm very impressed so far and I haven't even turned it on yet. I'm letting it charge before I use it. Also the memory cards and games are really small. I assumed they would be around the same size as DS games.

I didn't miss out too much, bought a 199 bundle and returned the game for 29 credit.

What are good quality headphones that I can use for both the Vita and the 3DS? Doesn't matter if wired/wireless, price doesn't matter either.

I use 14 dollar Skullcandy in-the-ear headphones and everything sounds great. I'm sure others will cringe at much choice, but hey they're cheap and the sound is really good to me.

I would always recomment Sony XB500s. Really fun to listen to. Comfortable for long periods of gaming, great bass and treble, and really good sound quality in general.

Adding my PSN was a breeze and the store allowed me to find stuff pretty easily. I just downloaded the patch but yeah, the framerate was hurting. Will play again soon.

Heads up Vitabros. I just came back from Target with the Sony Vita travel case on clearance for $5.

I've been seeing some Vita cases on my local Target's clearance rack for the past month, and I picked one up a week or two ago in preparation for this sale. The first kind was that odd "carrying case," which attaches to the Vita itself and is supposed to fold into some kind of stand. The second was PDP's "Crystal Case," which was your standard hard case fare, holds the system and carts/games.

They cost the same, so I ended up going with the crystal case, because the carrying case looked kinda flimsy and didn't hold any carts. It ended up being the right choice, judging from reviews of the "carrying case" on GAF and Amazon. The crystal case isn't faring much better in the reviews (the locking mechanism isn't very good), but at least it holds carts and covers the whole device.

My one gripe about the OS: I hate the bubbles. They take up way too much space. It's like I'm playing with one of my nephews Fischer Price toys. Maybe if the bubbles were folders and opened up a standard list I wouldn't mind so much

I was really impressed at how you can pretty much jump out of a game at any moment and do other stuff then jump back in. No audio skipping either

Everything is pretty snappy actually

Damn, Damn, Damn. I can't use my 3 x 1 PSN+ month codes because I don't have a US credit card, I thought I might be able to get round it but I was wrong. Anyone got any suggestions?

Either give them away or have someone lend you a CC and delete the info after you redeem the codes. (I had 3 codes expire on me earlier this year because of that same problem)

Just sell your 3 months to me @_@

How much? If I went to Walmart and bough a 3 month card will I need to enter CC details?

I know Gaffers are nice people but I can't see someone lending me their CC details haha.

I'm pretty sure that you won't need to enter your CC info if you purchase PS+ off PSN or the prepaid cards.

Speaking of code expirations: is there an expiration date on the PS+ codes we get from Amazon for this? I won't be activating mine until next month, so I assume that even if they have a date, that I'll be fine.
