GAF Pick'em Week 14 - THE FINAL WEEK
*all games Saturday unless otherwise noted.

(THU) Louisville @ Rutgers by 7
(FRI) Northern Illinois vs. Kent State by 4
(FRI) UCLA @ Stanford by 10
Oklahoma @ TCU by 10
Oklahoma State @ Baylor by 10
UCF @ Tulsa by 4
Kansas @ West Virginia by 21
Middle Tennessee @ Arkansas State by 7
Boise State @ Nevada by 4
Cincinnati @ Connecticut by 10
Alabama vs. Georgia by 7
Pittsburgh @ South Florida by 7
Texas @ Kansas State by 7
Florida State vs. Georgia Tech by 14
Nebraska vs. Wisconsin by 7

More gut picks, for the most part. Why do so many people think Kent State is a lock to beat Northern Illinois? The other pick 'ems I do have like two-thirds of the users picking Kent State despite NIU being a 5 to 9 point favorite.

Last weeks game poster was never posted so here it is a week late!

I really hope the guy doing them continues it on to next year as well.

Adjusted for political correctness.

They are very nice posters in all seriousness.

RutgersAl is an internet icon at this stage of the game.

He's not quite LSUfreek tier, but he's at the point where everyone waited for his opinion on the B1G move with bated breath.

The B1G acquired Rutgers for the sole reason that they could obtain the services of RutgersAl in the neverending hype war.

...who?

So.... um... there is a reporter out of New Orleans stating that the 1pm central press conference today from Tulane is to announce Big East membership.

I've got nothing if that is true.

This must have been the most pathetic group of BIG offensive linemen in the history of the conference if a bum like Taylor Lewan was the best of them.

Wes Durham, the radio announcer for GT and Atl Falcons, also posted on twitter that Navy is going to the ACC and Tulane to the Big East.

I'm not even sure how this applies to all these teams moving to other conferences, but it feels right:

ECU to Big East as football only as well.

Yup, just about to post. I'm kind of surprised they agreed to FB only at this point. The conference is still a step up but I don't think it is worth separating the sports anymore if you're in the eastern US.

Navy notwithstanding.

So are there any original big east football teams left or is it just the same teams that were in CUSA pre original expansion?

It's just fun to read Mark Ennis (blogger for Louisville/Big East) on twitter, his misery is kinda funny to read.

Tennessee needs to poach Strong now. Probably get him dirt cheap at this point.

Strong has much stronger ties to the Razorbacks (home state), and there were rumors he was already there (I mean how else could Louisville lose to Uconn at home?).

True forgot about that. Also I don't think money throwing money at him is going to keep him at Louisville. This isn't about money. This is about competing and national exposure. Getting into the ACC might help a little. Getting into the Big 12 would help a lot.

I've seen Auburn's trying to get Chris Peterson, Kevin Sumlin, and Gary Patterson.

That's on top of the ideas of going after Petrino or Malzahn.

He's certainly mastered the art of "Building the false hype of someone/someplace else, then proceed to rant against that hype (that he actually caused)".

Yes, I'm talking about the "Alabama could beat an NFL team/Alabama got the SEC to create a favorable schedule to win the division" comments.

I'll say this as someone from Georgia - don't understand the point of the Auburn job. State rival has far more history and success than you. Western division is a pain in the ass between LSU and Bama.

Seems like a losing combination. Tuberville was a good coach there, and he got lost trying to hire the new hot OC year-after-year. And that was in Bama's terrible Shula lull.

Similar deal for Tennessee now that Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina are all good right now. Granted, Vanderbilt doesn't have the history that Alabama does.

Took a day longer than I thought, but Ellis Johnson is gone from Southern Miss.

I'm sure EJ will land on his feet as a coordinator at one of these Southeast schools with openings. He did an outstanding job at South Carolina and has great recruiting ties in the region.

Not sure where USM goes from here, on the other hand...
