I get the feeling from reading that interview and following Snyder on Twitter, that he will be done with Swamp Thing after Rot World.

I'm hoping some kind of omnibus of this section of amvamp comes out so I can just read it all at one.
I don't think anything's been said. Both he and Lemire have been saying Rotworld will leave each book on their own for awhile afterwards. I think it's more of a case that Snyder can't say much about the future of Swamp Thing until DC's ready to share what happens after Rotworld, so basically until the solicitations are out. Kinda like the Lemire and Justice League Dark stuff, I'm not sure the silence isn't indicative of much.

I really like Fraction/Aja as a creative team. Like, a lot. What I'd like to see from them is a bunch of 5 or so issue series featuring different Marvel characters. Spider-Man, FF, Ms. Marvel, Deadpool. It's a ridiculous fanboy request, I really just want see that creative team on more things.

Yeah, I agree. I think with how it's selling will benefit the industry, somehow. Get's more people in the doors of their LCS for one. However, like what the picture detailed and what another GAFfer mentioned before, there were a lot of variant covers for that one issue. They're eating it up.

The 4 page preview of Red Lanterns has me excited. It's such a popcorn comic. Certainly helps that the art is good too. Love it.

I've kickstarted a few, but I'm cooling off as I currently have four projects backed and nothing in hand. I realize there's work to be done, but I just don't want to end up ass out when all is said and done.
There's no shortage of stuff up there to kickstart and I do believe Kickstarter and IndieGogo are the places for indie guys to go so they don't need to foot the bill for everything out of pocket, which was the biggest risk.
Hmm, maybe I should just drop it now then. I like Snyder's Swamp Thing, but I'm really not enjoying Rot World (which seems like it has been going on forever); if he's not coming back to it after this crossover, I'm not sure I even want to stick it out to the end.
Animal Man and Swamp Thing have basically been 1.5 years of Rotworld. I might start trade waiting based on reviews after rotworld shenanigans are over, Rotworld stuff might make a nice omnibus, but reading it monthly i feel like so little has been accomplished.

-$1.00: Approximately 1/3 of that cover price goes to Diamond, the distributor who solicits orders and ships comics to retailers. This varies based on shipping, gas prices, amount ordered and who the publisher is but its a good approximation. Diamond deserves their share for soliciting, storing and shipping comics to retail outlets. Theyre an international distributor with lots of expenses to keep the system running.
-$1.00: Approximately 1/3 of that cover price goes to retailers, the people selling the comics to customers. This amount varies quite a bit based on the publisher and the number of copies ordered by the retailer, but is a base approximation. Retailers deserve their share for selling comics to their local customer base. They buy non-returnable product and take great risk each and every week.
-$0.50 to $0.75: Printing is substantial (and it varies wildly based on the amount printed, paper availability, and press availability). 50 to 75 cents is a pretty good benchmark for small print runs, which means 1/2 to 3/4 of the remaining money is now gone.
On very low print runs (sub 4000), printing can easily cost $1.00 per copy, which means all the money is gone. The entire cover price has been eaten up just physically printing, shipping and selling the comic.
But, lets stick with 50 to 75 cents printing so we can slice it finer. With the remaining 25 to 50 cents per issue, the following has to be paid:
Advertising/promotion.

Is there a guesstimate as to what kind of slice Comixology takes from the pie? In comparison to Diamond I mean. Creator-owned versus Publisher?
As much as I love Damian, I'd be fine with that. No other writer does him justice in my opinion.
