Black Friday - Cyber Monday Post your haul

  • FIFA 13 - $35
  • Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate edition - $20
  • Fight Night Champion - $10
  • Harry Potter 8 film Collection (Bluray) - $35

I bought Assassin's Creed III for $25 from my younger brother, who finished it. I bought it on Black Friday, so I guess technically you can call it a Black Friday deal. :P

My brother, though, who I took out to a couple of stores, scored pretty big. He bought that 24" PlayStation 3 3D display for $100 at Best Buy. Came with MotorStorm Apocalypse, 3D glasses, and an HDMI cable. Practically a steal, if you ask me. If I didn't already have a 40" display in my living room, I probably would have grabbed it myself.

If I hadn't just thrown down over $450 for my Wii U with a few games, I'd probably have bought a lot more on Black Friday than I did. With what little spending cash I had lying around, I picked up...

- Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for $15
- Two 32GB Sandisk SD cards for $36
- Max Payne 3 Target LE w/ GTAIV for $24 (Christmas gift for my best friend)
- Wham-Shell Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure figure for $0 (buy 1, get 1 deal)

Part of me wanted to leverage TRU's buy 1 get 1 40% off sale on Wii U games to get ZombiU, but I didn't have any other game in mind to pair with it.

Picked up AC3, CODBLOPS:II

So when will we hear about how many consoles were sold over black Friday? Am very curious as to how many Wiis, Wii Us, PS3s, 360s and Vitas were sold.

I had an amazing Black Friday. I basically bought nothing all year (save Mass Effect 3 and Resident Evil 6) because I figured I would just get everything over BF, and I have to say the plan was a rousing success:

Sleeping Dogs - $10
Forza Horizon - $15
Spec Ops: The Line - $15
Dishonored - $25
XCOM - $25
Borderlands 2 - $25

I was originally only planning to buy Dishonored and Spec Ops, but the other deals kinda snuck up on me and I couldn't help myself. Oh well.

As far as games, Walking Dead, Torchlight 2, and Final Fantasy Theatrhythmn for $40 total.

And all new insides for mine and my wife's PCs at about $200 each with all the awesome deals. It's been almost 6 years so pretty long overdue. Also finally a new monitor for $120, that's been more like 7 or 8 years. It should be coming in the mail today so I'm pretty hype!

The topic was about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so you're post was incorrect, you can't talk you're way out of that. And again, Amazon is supposed to have their Cyber Monday the first Monday in December. You're ill-informed.

Batman Arkham City GOTY - $7.49

However, I really did a great job with TOYS!!!! I love shopping online during Black Friday Week! I am the king of kid's toy shopping!

Did my usual thing from the last 3 years or so and plunked down my yearly games budget in pretty much one fell swoop. The only odd thing about this year was that I spend it all pretty much on retail as opposed to Steam.

I just happened to wander into a Walmart late in the day Black Friday when taking the kids to an event nearby and they still had all their stock of the $25 games. No fuss, no muss, no lines and I picked up Borderlands 2, X-Com and TTT2. Plus added $10 Soul Calibur V on Monday from Amazon. I was pretty shocked that stuff was still in, but this Walmart is really new, and they didn't have enough flyers and apparently didn't change any of the prices on the games (you had to ring them up to see the discount) so maybe that's why they still had 'em all. Worked out for me since those actually beat Steam prices and aside from X-Com those are games that are either not on PC (TTT2) or better for me on 360 (Borderlands 2, need that couch co-op).

So yeah, good stuff and I should be good to buckle down until Steam winter sale 2013. I managed to stay pretty strong last year (I only purchased two DS games all year after paying $60 or so in the Steam sale) so I should be able to do it again. Really is best to just save up for this time of year, you get so much more for your money.

DMC HD - $10
Dragons Dogma - $10
Forza Horizon - $15
GTA Complete - $15

Titanic 3D - $15
Prometheus 3D - $15
Hugo 3D - $12
Cloudy Meatballs 3D - $9
Godfather Collection - $20
Breaking Bad S1 + S2 - $12
Girl Dragon Tattoo + Taxi Driver - $10
Kill Bill 1 + 2 - $8
Brave - $9
Collateral - $5
Sweeney Todd - $5
Fight Club - $4
Brave - $9

Dragon's Dogma was the only impulse purchase out of the list. I bit on it only because Tekken Tag wasn't available. Will probably gift it to someone.

Disappointed Mad Men S5, Blade Runner Digibook, and Indiana Trilogy didn't see any reductions but overall I'm happy with my haul this year.

The Walking Dead (PC) - $12.50
Max Payne 3 (PC) - $15
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition - $15
Oral-B Professional Care 8850 Rechargeable Power Toothbrush - $30

I (wrongly) assumed the thread was about cyber monday though, thats why I said I bought nothing. But if its such serious business to you, then whatever.
