THQ Humble Bundle is up (THQ needs your money lol)

$5.22 for BTA?

It keeps falling. This isn't like any other indie bundle.

What it means is that people are satisfied with the other AAA titles for a $1. If it continues like this, this may be a historically low priced bundle, which is disturbing given the games that are in it.

It's the opposite I think - the average is falling because more people are paying above that. That's how it was for other Humble bundles.

Poor Indie devs.

Making the Humble Bundle known to more people will absolutely hurt their business in the future! :(

How can the HIB guys dare to support the Evil Guys™?!

You have to beat the average usually to be grandfathered in I think. Depends on the bonuses that are added though probably.

I'm pretty sure anything that is added is given to everyone who bought the bundle before they added it, regardless of what they paid.

Except for <$1 purchases in this case I guess.

I don't really understand the resentment from Indie devs. I mean, I've never even played any of the games I've purchased through HB. It's all charity (for them, and Child's Play).

The complaints from indie devs just go to show how whiny and obsessed with the "indie" moniker they are. THQ is a company that has a lot of great developers under its roof and has been putting out pretty good games for most of this generation. This bundle is obviously to help them out. I could understand complaints if this becomes a trend but in this case it's still doing its best to help out a struggling developer.

How's that?

Pissed off indies and gamers could either backlash against it and give it bad PR or spam it with the minimal donation till the price of admission is absurdly low.

Its silly but a lot of people associate Humble Bundle with indies, even if its in the Humble Bundle's benefit to do this with THQ

Once the indie guys started whining, I jumped in and donated all my money to THQ. I don't know why.

Added to the page apparently

This wasn't added to the page. There was a huge Windows banner on top of the page from the very beginning.

I can understand that some people might feel that HIB is breaking their own principles with not sharing DRM-free games, but they've been very clear from second 1 that you'll only get Steam keys this time around.

Helping a dying publisher is also hardly a bad thing to do. How people can freak out over this seriously puzzles me.

Paid $12.50 even though I own half the games because I think this is a cool thing THQ are doing and want to support them

I don't think THQ are doing this because they want to get their games out there. They're probably really close to going under and this is their last attempt to stay alive.

Can a publisher even be indie? lol

Wasn't SR3 a decently-sized hit compared to the other titles? I can see a lot of people who own it and maybe Metro 2033 on PC buying for the others, meaning they don't need to beat the average.

Also note that they always have the option available to increase your donation on top of what you payed before, in case you ever change your mind or a new item with a unlock cap is added, so there's no pressure to commit to what you payed.

Did anyone have to wait to get the keys? I bought the bundle 15 minutes ago and just got the Paypal confirmation, but no email from Humble Bunde.

Have all but Red Faction and CoH: ToV, which I'm not sure I would even play. I hope this works out for them, this is a great crop of games.

They can't possibly make enough from this to make any significant difference in how much longer they can stay alive, can they?

Who cares why they're doing it as long as they are? THQ are a great company who have made great games anything that keeps them alive a little longer is a good thing in my mind

What the fuck is going on here? Big AAA titles in a humble bundle?

Is THQ tanking their own company?

Is THQ the charity we are supporting?

Is THQ just trying to build a fan base for their IPs in order to get those people to buy the sequels (such as Darksiders 2 which is currently available and the upcoming rebooted Company of Heroes)?

And with THQ giving away their games why did their stock shoot up today?

I'm honestly confused by this move.
