Best VGA's by far. It was actually enjoyable this time around. The Last of Us trailer was incredibe, Dark Souls 2 was announced, and a cool new mystery game which looks a lot like MGS GZ.

I actually now get the point of ME3 and AC3 being nominated.

Remember when Hurt Locker won the Academy Award for Best Picture over Avatar? This tiny indie film that almost no one saw at theaters won over the most successful movie of all time. Hurt Locker won 6 out of 9 awards while Avatar just got 3 out of 9. Same number of noms for two opposite sides.

Get my point? The Walking Dead is the Hurt Locker. The small game that won over this huge, expensive and well marketed AAA blockbusters. This is a great achievement, folks. Is a great day for gaming.

Despite it being a good show, I feel bad for the EU/AUS guys that stayed up to 4-5am to watch. No next-gen teaser (unless Phantom Pain was it) and the Dark Souls II trailer was just CG.

The time in Australia is mid day now But yeah, worse for Europe, it is 5am here now indeed.

You know, Pachter is going to catch the most shit because he's so vocal. But it's Satterfield who really needs to get his comeuppance. The way he carried himself--on GT.com no less--was disgraceful last week. His flippant attitude towards Journey and The Walking Dead, and his rationale to backup his reasoning, was asinine. Each of those games collected awards before and during the show tonight and rightly so.

So before ripping Pachter, which he no doubt deserves, think about Satterfield and know that he's probably going to do a 180 on both games now that the show is over.

I don't think anyone was expecting PS4/720 to be announced.

But a third party game with next-gen graphics and no platform revealed? Certainly what I expected, especially after Geoff mentioned we would be getting a glimpse.

Unless that Dark Souls II CGI somehow was real time on next-gen platforms, lulz.
