Apparently they had references to Araki's previous works...Joseph is reading Baoh on the plane, and the cafe is called "Irene" (after Gorgeous Irene).
 
Oh man, this episode was awesome. It's hard to get used to Sugita as Joseph after playing the fighting game, but he's a great Joseph. Also oh my god dat ending, I just love how it's pretty much a continuation of the first one.

Can't wait until we can see the opening.

Kid Joseph reads Baoh and the last scene takes place in a cafe named Irene
 
I'm a little disappointed with the poses and the battles but overall it's all really great...
an uncensored version exist or it's all with darkness and shadows?

I saw someone say a new commercial that aired (for the Blu-Rays?) apparently had a piece of Yes' "Owner of the Lonely Heart" in it. That'd be a cool song to use for an ED, maybe in Part 3.

Yeah, I expected them to remove any direct reference to them being Nazi...but they still ARE pretty much Nazis, though, just without the name and swastikas.

I miss the days when Kinnikuman could receive a New Years card from Brockenman Jr. with the swastika on it. :(

Wow. That was really good. They completely surpassed my expectations in terms of kicking off the new arc. As usual, the strongest part of the direction is in the sound - great casting, solid music, and perfectly timed transitions and inserts. But the visuals feel much more improved too. It might not exactly be better quality animation and art, but the story here takes place in more interesting locations, and wider spaces, giving the backgrounds and lighting in general a lift in terms of looking more colorful and and just more striking in general. This is going to be fun as fuck!
 
They could cut to Roundabout every episode and it'd still feel good.

Best Joestar, can't wait for the next episode. Iwasaki is owning and Sugita is a damn good fit for Joseph. If you didn't feel your heart burn at the end there's something wrong with you.

Yeah, It's surprising how cutting to roundabout continues to provide the good feels.

The urge to read again Battle Tendency to refresh it in my memory before the anime goes further is rising...
 
Is the new OP a tie-in to whatever latest single the performing band is gonna release or is it a song tailored for the show ?

It's typical power of manly men prevails manga/anime. That includes characters dying left and right. But that's the way it should be as Shirou would say. Although JoJo pulled some Dragonballs after Part 2.

JoJo is all about the new adventures you will experience. Each Part leaves a mark in your shounen heart and then you'll pass on to the next more bizarre adventure. This adaptions shows how anime I think should be. I always feel excited when I finished an episode of JoJo, especially DAT TRANSIT to the ending.

The introduction of Joseph is so bad ass, I almost wet myself. I'm confused which JoJo is best, but I think I'll have to review my opinion on Battle Tedency in the near future.

Yeah specially the end of Part 3 has some DragonBallesque stuff but that's probably one of the reasons of why it's the most loved/famous part...

As i said before i'm disappointed by the lack of fabulous poses but maybe with a little luck Part 2 will handle this stuff better... but overall this adaptation it's exactly as different as the others shonen anime like it is the manga with the others and this is fantastic... yet i still would like to see '90 OVA animation quality :3
 
If possible to explain without spoiling what is this talk about a man named Sugita as Joseph?

I read like half of of the first part of the manga but decided to wait to see it instead of reading ahead.

Sugita is a voice actor. He also voices Gintoki in Gintama.

I can't think of any but JoJo and Space Bros. I've just been watching old stuff for the last few years, really.

I only watched the first episode, but I thought the premise and motivation of the bad dude were so laughable I couldn't take any more. >__> Other parts had a little promise but I didn't want to stick with a series that I expect will go nowhere. It seems to be popular though, so to each his own, I suppose.

I had forgotten just how crazy Joseph is in comparison to Jonathan. The latter is a friggin buzzkill compared to this awesomeness. And Sugita is PERFECT for the role.

next episode is jojo going to mexico and then the nazi lab with santana i guess, isnt this going a bit too fast? wasnt there something in between i dont really remember. hope they animate trap jojo tho

I watched space bros up to like episode 28. I liked it at first, but the emotional flashbacks and constant inner (emotional) dialogs were too much for me. I like animes that aren't that action oriented and even emotional but to I just got fed up with so much stalling in terms of moving the story forward.... I may come back to it though.
