hey anyone can be a little girl, staying this obnoxious takes a lot of work.
Yeah I can tell you've made it your full time job.

I don't want to sign the petition because I doubt the port would be financially viable.
I find it kinda sicky that we're down to the same arguments people were throwing against the PC port, to be honest...

Also if it's not financially viable or not is a matter for FROM/Bamco's accountants, not us, who should show some sympathy for the neglected few :D

You say it's not up to us, and yet you want to sign a petition. A petition is a way to let a company know that there is interest. I simply have no interest in a Wii U port, and will not sign because I have no intention of buying it. I signed the PC petition because I did have the intention of buying it, and I believed it would be a success on the PC.

I'd like the game to be available to as many people possible, within reason (I don't expect them to port it to iPhone or whatever), so I sign it to support that idea. Bamco/FROM will make the call, but it's a way of telling them there's interest. The petition itself says nothing about promise to purchase or anything like that, just like the PC one didn't, and I'd like to imagine that Bamco did a bit more analytics than basing on the 90k people that signed it to deem it financially viable.

In any case, I just find it very curious to see the same arguments pop up again.

I don't want a Wii U port because it would probably have worse performance than the other versions anyway.

Yikes. Scary to think of.

Maybe this time they will opt out of having ridiculous texture work buried under console resolution, filters and the like. Seeing some of the detail on textures it's pretty apparent why the game runs so shitty on consoles.

The reason is that FROM developers are not very technically adept. They are incredible artists and game designers, however.

Solidarity, many console gamers signed the petition and rooted for a PC version when that was a debate, so I'm inclined to do the same, specially since this is the clicky, cheap kind.

It's still pretty baffling. They obviously never intended to release PC version so all that detail would have never been visible.

I have a feeling that the PC version of DkS2 will be glorious. Dunno why, but I can feel it! Great vibes (oh and I happen to be hyped too).

Eh, I signed.

At the very least, I'd love to double dip if the port is competent. Would be nice to play the game semi-portably

As an impartial PC-only gamer, I think our Wii U brethren should share the Bayonetta 2 love with their PS360 brethren.

Make a petition, I'll sign.

Though from what I understand about this game's development, its pretty much been resurrected and financially backed by Nintendo, so a port would be less likely.

Signed the Wii U petition. Honestly, in this case it's really on Nintendo, not us. There will never be even close to the # of sigs the PC got.

Can't find high quality videos :(

It's not really the same argument, though, because they just puked out a 360 port. Which is why it had the locked resolution and used GFWL. They would need to complete an entirely new online system for WiiU.

With the PC brethren too if possible. I die a little inside every time I remember Bayo's terrible framerate and how great it could run on PC.

It's the 'clean' aesthetic you see in a lot of Japanese games. I forgot what episode, but Idle Thumbs had a good segment on it and their theory why it's like that. I think it has to do with the way they designed graphics to work on the PSX while looking good, and that style stayed with those designers through the generations.

Sounds reasonable, I think that's it.
I don't play japanese games apart from Nintendo's stuff - resident evil 4+5 being the only exceptions, and those two are pretty western.

Anyone got a link to the idle thumbs segment?

A yet to play either Demons Souls or Dark Souls.

Wondering if I want to put myself through it with everything I hear about the difficulty.

The difficulty is massively exaggerated. Seriously. You've probably played an Action or Shooter game that was harder than Dark Souls.

Dark Souls simply is fair, hard to master, and punishing.

I gotta say what made Dark Souls special is how it made YOU a good player. I went from hours nearly breaking my controller and wanting to never touch the game again my first time in Sen's Fortress to basically being able to do it in one run by the time I was done. Such an achievement to be proud of.

Also anyone think with it probably launching alongside next gen consoles we get a version for them as well since its also coming to PC?

Hahahaha hahahaha.

Thanks for the advice.
It really is like that. I wouldn't call the games difficult as a hellshooter is difficult, but they can try your patience.

Demon's Souls is probably dirt cheap nowadays, just give it a shot. Maybe you'll hate it at first, but if you press on you might discover something awesome.
