Uniform looks similar to Volgin or Big Boss or Python so it could just as easily be a new character wearing a FOX issue suit.

I agree. We've seen the early parts of previous MGS games involve some sort of failure or disaster. A hostage dying minutes after meeting Snake, RAY getting hijacked, Snake getting his arm broken, etc. I think something bad probably happens to Snake when he's at that base trying to rescue Chico. MSF is forced out of Latin America as well and they end up in a country in Africa. And of course the whole mission becomes more complex and expands as they uncover what's really going on (eliminate a special unit, stop a nuke launch, save the world, etc.). The Ground Zeroes trailer made me think that the burned face man wants Snake to come and get Chico, like he set a trap for him.
Eh, Kojima can retcon the series to the fourth dimension and back as long as he doesn't touch

It's confirmed to have some kind of online component and it's being done by KojiPro LA. Whether it'll be like MGO or more like other games remains to be seen.

I hope it has everything i.e. VR Missions, Online, Side Missions and more. I want it to be as big as MGS3: Subsistence.
For multiplayer it would be extremely neat if there was a game mode where there is a commander who can build new facilities and add to your team's base. The other players on the team must capture marked points to increase the number of resources that the commander can use.
For example, your team captures point A. As commander, you build upgraded barracks that improve spawn times. More resources come in. As commander you can upgrade the new barracks you built so the players have more ammo when they spawn or you can build a new armory that adds more weapons to use.

Here's a theory (sorry if someone already came up with this); this takes place after Metal Gear and before Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, after Solid Snake supposedly killed Big Boss. The defeat could've left Big Boss in a coma and here we are with this.
