Metal Gear Solid 4 Remaster | PS3 vs PS5 | Graphics Comparison Trailer

Upres really helps it alot, and bloom + yellowish hue seem reduced, looks more realistic/grounded to me. Love it, but not that happy since it's mostly a movie.

Is the Xbox version shipping on 8 discs?

No one ever thought Sony would do a Demon's Souls remake and then launch it for the PS5 on day 1. It was wishful thinking, but it happened. Bloodborne Remake on PS6 launch would also be fantastic, by that point the game is already over 10 years old (It's going to be 11 years old in March this year) and there is a whole new breed and generation of gamers who never got to play it. Yeah, they can play it on PS5 but they are already spoiled with the looks and visuals of Elden Ring and Demons Souls remake that it would be like going backwards.

Sony is literally leaving easy money on the table if they do not do it, it just makes too much sense to do it. I think it will happen sooner or later.
Yeah I think Bloodborne will be the demon souls remake of next gen launch. A perfect game to get the crowd screaming.

The worst Metal Gear of them all.
No, not even close. That'll be Peace Walker hands down - it's barely even a game and more like an audio cassette simulator mixed with management mini-game, terrible lvl design and missions. In regards to MGS, it was Kojima's worst decision to make a PSP game out of it. MGSV and Ground Zeroes are miles better games and Peace Walker could've been just as good if it wasn't designed for terrible hardware with all of it's limitations. I also had way more fun playing MGS4 than PW, even if it wasn't perfect in some cases and moreover, I completed the game without killing anyone at all outside of some cases where you don't have a choice so no, you can't even complain that you kill too much people in the game and it's not a stealth game anymore cuz it's is - same goes for SC: Blacklist as well.

I feel like the detail is already there, it's just marred by the sub HD resolution for the most part. (on the original PS3 version)

Correct and this is why x-enhanced and emulated PS360 stuff looks so good still. And some PS3 games still look great on native hw, such as RR7 and VT3 being 1080p games.

Looks great, can't wait to dive back into this.

On the topic of MGS4 did anyone else not know about the sixaxis support on it on the PS3? I hadn't a clue for ages you could shake the controller to reset the active camo.

i bet whoever programmed this (m2 maybe) turned mgs4 into a "universal binary" like apple had during the powerpc to intel transition and it wasnt even that hard to do
