I watched Where No Man Has Gone Before last night and noticed they had the only fat guy on Star trek. It was the division head of Life sciences. His fat rolls were enhanced by his pajama top of a uniform.
Also, its funny that Star Trek gets hailed as being a pioneer in putting minorities on TV. But Star Trek TOS is grossly misogynistic towards women. Uhura was on the bridge but she wore a micro-mini skirt and largely did shit (as did the Russian, Scot and Asian). Baby steps I guess. It may not have been an expressway but its the road that got us here to today.

If Giacchino's going to be adding nods from other Trek themes I'd love to see the First Contact theme thrown in there somewhere. I think it's the secret best Trek theme. I get choked up every time.
Would be a bit odd since its a TOS movie, makes more sense to have nods to TOS scores I'd think.

As much as I love Horner's work in TWoK, the main leitmotif in the intro feels very forced. Its variations as part of other pieces are much more satisfying.
Regardless, it's stellar work.
Nothing Giacmcaroarororlo has done has really made me stand up and take notice (and more importantly, hum it). I'll never fully understand GAF's ladyboner for this guy.

Dude how do you people not realize its khan. Benecio del todo was originally cast to play as the villian. He sure dont look like Gary Mitchell to me. Even the end credits of The previous film was going to have an end credits sequence showing the Botany Bay floating in space.
